We came here on a Sunday for a late lunch. There is roadside parking out front. There is a parking lot behind the restaurant, but not sure if it is for the restaurant. It was packed, but we were sat pretty quickly. They had a band on the patio playing jazz, which was loud, but not too loud. The patio is also dog friendly. I got the fish and chips and my wife got the classic nachos. Our food came out fast and was delicious. It was really busy the entire time we were here and they turned over tables quickly so there wasn't much of a wait

Always passing by this place when we decide to stroll thru Boerne but today was not that day! Our party of 9 was well serviced today for brunch. very friendly waitstaff! It was a Sunday and the Nelson Trio offered up some melodic jazz tunes to accompany our meal in the Biergarten. Not formal but a cozy casual atmosphere. Fantastic sunny weather with a slight breeze made sitting outdoors extremely pleasant.Quite impressed with the fish - beer batter perfection, and the fillet was moist and flaky. The house made dressing that accompanies the fish is a great relish. A little more than I would prefer to spend on a hamburger and fries but I do recommend the chicken wings, a generous amount of carrots and celery was a plus! There is a great kids menu and the salad varieties on the menu looked promising for a return visit Truly uncertain the ease of wheelchair access to the restroom, pretty tight hallway.I am curious enough to come back in the evening to check out the evening vibes!

I would have given 5 Stars but here is how it went. We all gathered here to celebrate an early High School graduation. I have not been back here in a long time. The food and service was superb. I ordered the 1/4lb Cheeseburger with a side of "sautéed veggies." I know right? Who does that? Should have been fries but I wanted to keep it healthy, and it was delish. All of it was fantastic, I could have stayed here all day, but we all had to leave to get back to everyday stuff. Before we left I saw a couple walk in, both were carrying some kind of large bag with a Baby Kangaroo!! I kid not! 2 baby Kangas were sitting at the table next to us, and all I could think to myself was "This just got real interesting." I had to keep cool and not rush over there to ask if I could pet and feed them. My whole table was a buzz of those baby kangas, then THE MANAGER went over to them and asked them to leave. According to the couple they said they have done this 4 other times and never had a problem. IN DEFENSE of THE MANAGER, they properly have a sign posted and it specifically states no other animals but dogs can be on the property. At least that's how I remember it. I don't know how long that sign had been there. You might wanna consult with the manager or even the owner when carrying EXOTIC/FOREIGN pets, no matter how awesome it is.. I wanted the Kangas to stay, but you have to respect the rules.

The Dodging Duck is wonderful! The outdoor seating, sitting on the other side of the road from the river walk, live music and delicious food make it a truly enjoyable experience. For an appetizer we got the very best fried green tomatoes I've ever had, coupled with a delicious dipping sauce. Some craft German beer and it was perfect. For dinner, we got some perfectly grilled bratwurst, mashed potatoes and giant, warm soft pretzel with beer-cheese dipping sauce. The potatoes had bits of pork that tasted like it had been cooked with brown sugar; they were very sweet and benefited from some additional seasoning. Salt and pepper grinders were at the tables to season to taste. Not the cheapest place to eat, however the portions are big and the food quality was on par as well. The host and waitress were very friendly and the area it resides in is festive and fun. Definitely worth a visit.

There is a great selection of beer here. I like to get their honey cider. I like their fried green tomatoes and their fish and chips. As someone who doesn't typically like tartar sauce- theirs is delicious! To me it kind of tastes like a tangy ranch. Their Philly cheesesteak is a let down. Don't get it

Fun variety of menu items to choose from. Happy someone has slight German food options in Boerne. Love the old house turned restaurant and awesome covered patio. Sounds funny but it's a delightful atmosphere. Our fish & chips was a little greasy/heavier than preferred.

Our plans got rained out so we headed over to Dodging Ducks' patio. It's a great spot to enjoy some beverages and food. We each got the imperial IPA and it was pretty tasty. We also ordered a pretzel with beer cheese. The pretzel was really good. The wait staff was attentive.

I've always passed this place and thought it looked cool with the views of Cibolo Creek. They have a heated outside porch which was perfect on a slightly chilly fall day. It's a beer and wine establishment so I settled on a glass of Riesling and my mom had a Chardonnay. They were both reasonably priced around $7 a glass. Our server was a young man who was both friendly and knowledgeable. My mom likes to ask questions before she orders and he was patient with her. More patient than I am lol. I settled on the BLT with fried green tomatoes and thick cut peppered bacon. It had a generous amount of guacamole and a cilantro lime sauce on a soft brioche bun. My only suggestion would be a different type of bread as the brioche was a little soft and didn't hold the toppings well and was really messy. Other than that I loved the flavor combination. Mom settled on the Rueben and said it was great. The German potato salad had an intriguing flavor. It was almost like a smashed potato texture and had a sweet taste to it (brown sugar maybe?). House cut fries were good as well. Crisp on the outside soft on the inside. We enjoyed the ambience, the service, and the food here. I'll definitely be returning to sample some of their other dishes.

Food is excellent as well as the service. This use to be our Go-To place to eat. Unfortunately, they have added music that is so loud you can't talk among yourselves. We literally had to scream our order to the waitress. We will go when Faith Jacob's is playing. She's perfect for that place,. Nice music and you can still talk to those at your table.
