A great location in a lovely historical building. Servers and staff tentative and helpful. I had the "huevos rancheros" it was the "dish with the most flavor" . I found it flavorless. The black beans were season free as well as the eggs. The only thing with flavor was the roasted veg and I wasn't sure why they were calling it huevos rancheros, two eggs over easy and a side of breakfast potatoes and flavorless bean paste would have been more on point. The cappuccino tasted bitter and burnt, I added a load of sugar to make it palpable. If you are looking for a lovely setting this place is fantastic...try the croissant breakfast sandwich. It got good reviews.

Ridiculous! How many ways can you screw up a breakfast plate that costs $16. 1-eggs not to order. Ask for medium and got hard eggs. Server said my mistake I put in over easy. I said well then they screwed up both orders2-toast was so cold that the butter seemed to get harder. Asked for hot toast. 3.-egg came out not much better but overly brown on the bottom. 4-second toast came out after the2nd order of eggs and the to go box. 5-the server never really listened to what I wanted, just going through the motions. For a higher end breakfast establishment, not impressed at all. Gonna find me a dive restaurant next time. Server gave me my bill and said, I discount the eggs for you. Needless to say, I just boxed everything up and was just going to throw it in the trash on the way out. However, the very professional manager can out, spoke to me and refunded my money and I just left the food boxed on the table.

Wonderful atmosphere with genuinely interested and helpful staff. The food is simple but well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The history of the building is interesting and they've made it a good combination of a bistro Café as well as a clothing and accessory store. Downtown Bourne (berrrnee) is a nice place to visit just a few miles west of San Antonio

Stepping into Dienger Trading Co. is like stepping back in time! This place oozes history and charm. We popped in for a quick bite, and I'm so glad we did. The cafe and bakery offer delicious treats, but the real star of the show is the brioche French toast with custard - oh my goodness, it's heavenly! They also have other American classics like a juicy burger with perfectly battered fries. The service was fantastic, and the owner even stopped by our table for a chat, which was a lovely touch. If you find yourself in Boerne, Dienger Trading Co. is a must-visit!

Whew the wait was long! Luckily they have a million things to look at while you wait. This place is a bistro and boutique. When we finally got seated, 3 of us decided to not split a bottle for mimosa's and opted to have our very own bottles and we had a time!!! The mimosa's were flowing from my own bottle so I soaked it up with the egg white frittata and French toast with vanilla custard. I didn't think the egg white frittata was going to fill me up but it actually did. It was a light full not a heavy full. I got heavy full when I ate the French toast. Our waiter did his best to be attentive and keep up with our group of 5. I think with the crowded bistro it was hard for him to be consistent with our table. I thought the style of The Dienger was appropriate for Boerne and the trading co.

7 food servers, not one wearing any hair net -one tattoo young man serving food , running fingers in hair to straighten hair , I'm sorry but when you have a plate of food in one hand ,don't don't finger comb your hair-I'm a regular in the restaurant when I asked to speak to someone about it , they sent another wild hair young man -I gave up and left-please see that staff follows hygiene code -greasy hair food service is nasty

Downer that the Dienger has gotten so bad. Only reason for 2 stars is that it's located in such a neat historic building and it's nice to sit there. But be prepared to wait forever to get your food. The new owners of The Dienger have really mismanaged this place. Staff has no training. The food seems to be premade frozen items. The hash browns are exactly what you'd get at McDonalds but soggy. The regular potatoes are definitely from a bag and reheated as well. The food is so bad now. I can't bring myself to go anymore. Strictly for tourists wanting to pay for overpriced bad quality food. Very sad.

Ron the manager came over to the table to chat and see how everything was. To me, this is the epitome of great management. Super! My first impression is always biscuits and sausage gravy. These guys know how to do it: perfect fluffy biscuits smothered with a savory sausage gravy. Absolutely delicious.I love renovated buildings. No exceptions here, beautifully restored buildings! Nice gift store. Definitely a must do destination in Boerne!

New menu! They do not have the pot roast which me and my husband used to LOVE. The servers didn't seem aware that used to be an item. But this place is still great to bring family and friends when visiting out of town. It shows a beautiful, historical and boutique type side of Boerne. Also, many different type of coffee drinks AND mimosas!
