We got here 10 minutes before opening (oops!) and they seated us anyway. Of course it was quiet, but the ambiance was country western. I could imagine it could be right when full, but we had no problem. Our waitress, Patricia, was soft spoken and kind and gave good recommendations and local info about the food. We got the pulled pork sandwich with collared greens and baked beans, and stuffed baked potato. All the food was yummy and hot and good-sized portions. Food came out quick, and, again, Patricia checked in with us to make sure everything was good.

1st of all I have to say the servers & Mgt. were AWESOME! 5/5The Pros:Wings: original Buffalo were saucy sweet with a little kick. I had never tasted wings like this! 5/5 Bacon Cheeseburger: great as always. The bread & bacon were standouts! 5/5Mac & cheese: was creamy and tasty. 5/5Brisket taco: a good helping of smoky brisket with all the trimmings. 5/5Ranch dressing: the best made in-house. 5/5Brisket queso: WOW! The best! I took an extra order to go. 5/52 meat lite ribs & sausage plate: the ribs were so fall off the bone good! Sausage was good too. 5/5Cons: that there aren't more Couny Lines in Texas & that there aren't more General managers like at this store.

Alright, buckle up, because County Line BBQ on the Riverwalk is about to get a review that's more side-splitting than their ribs!First off, let's talk about these beef ribs. Now, they weren't exactly Brontosaurus-sized, but they weren't skimping on the meat either! They piled those bad boys on my plate until it was overflowing like an XL serving of awesome. I'm talking "meat sweats are in my future" kind of loaded. Now, I'm watching my carbs (trying to, anyway), so the bread was strictly off-limits. But my family? They inhaled that stuff like it was the last oxygen on Earth. And the portions? Let's just say they could probably feed a small village in a pinch. Even the kid's meals were enough to satisfy Paul Bunyan!Service was a little on the slow side, but hey, the place was packed like a clown car at a circus. I get it, good BBQ takes time. And trust me, the wait was worth it.Now, back to those ribs. Smoky? Check. Great bark? Double check. Juicy and well-seasoned? Triple check with a cherry on top! These bad boys were so good, I single-handedly demolished the entire "enough for 2" portion. A MAJOR feat of strength and willpower, if I do say so myself. And the best part? My blood sugar didn't stage a revolt! For $50, it was a steal. The fam gave County Line a solid 4 out of 5 stars, but for me? Those ribs? A perfect 5 out of 5, baby! If you're looking for BBQ that'll make you laugh, cry, and loosen your belt a notch (or three), this is the place to be.

They have salads and sandwiches back! The server struggled with simple words like "fries," but he was pleasant enough, if preoccupied with the table behind us. The turkey was moist and flavorful, but nothing was hot - the only detractor. We had mediocre experiences that few visits, but they have absolutely redeemed themselves!

Alright BBQ if you're from somewhere that doesn't have BBQ I guess. The wait staff was friendly and the place was clean. I wish the BBQ was better. Ordered wet, not lean, brisket and got beef jerky. They brought out some more brisket but you could tell they trimmed the dry pieces off before they brought it out. The smoked turkey was okay but again nothing special. $100 for a family of 4 and would have been better off going to Whataburger.

I did a little homework about San Antonio and picked with restaurant with high expectations on BBQ. Food - disappointed! I ordered three meat combo with smoked 1/4 chick with the leg and thigh ( tasted like chewing wax, dry and not much smoke flavor ). The prime cut, it was ok, definitely on the dry side even I picked the not lean part. The ribs, oh no, it tasted like jerky with lots of fat. The side dish, bean and vegetables of the day, both look and taste are like the can food. The only thing did not disappointed was the "famous house made bread" -- if you have sweet tooth like mine, it looks like sourdough but tastes sweet , warm and spongy, also went very well with the honey butter the restaurant served. The restaurant located along the river walk, nice to see the boats and river swimming by, but be cautious of flies, pigeons and other bugs might attracted by your food. The waitress I had was really nice to bring me a big fan to keep those bugs away, which attracted lots of attention, quite useful for flies but not to the bees/ wasps. ( be prepared if you prefer to sit outside like I did during October still over 90F)

Located right on the Riverwalk. Great location. Good service. We ate right next to the canal. BBQ was adequate. Had the brisket and sausage combo. Also had their homemade bread which was good. There are other BBQ joints in San Antone that are better, but they're not necessarily located at the Riverwalk.

Amazing!! My husband and I ate at several restaurants on the river walk, and this was a standout. We upgraded for their homemade bread, which was delicious, and each had a two-meat combo meal. The meat, the sides, their sauces - everything was so so good. The service was great, waitress was very kind and they turned on the heater when they saw I was cold. And can't beat the view! We sat right along the river and it was perfect.

For dinner, I had St. Louis Pork Ribs and 2nd Cut Brisket from the BBQ platter. The St. Louis Pork Ribs were tender and well seasoned. The 2nd Cut Brisket was listed as a limited item on the menu, so I had high expectations and ordered it. The meat was really tender, but the portion was small. The regular Brisket is more like Lean Brisket, so I'll have to try Lean Brisket next time. The restaurant has a good vibe, the staff is friendly, and the food is delicious, so I plan to visit again next time.
