Bread Box Bakery and Restaurant is a true gem that delights from the moment you walk in. The bakery section is a feast for the senses, offering an array of freshly baked breads, pastries, and confections that are as beautiful as they are delicious. The sourdough is perfectly crusty and tangy, while the buttery croissants practically melt in your mouth. The restaurant side continues the excellence with a menu that showcases both creativity and comfort. The dishes are crafted with care, and it shows in every bite. The breakfast options, in particular, are a highlight. The avocado toast is topped with perfectly poached eggs and a sprinkle of artisan sea salt, making it a standout choice. The hearty sandwiches and salads are equally impressive, with fresh, high-quality ingredients and a thoughtful blend of flavors.Service at Bread Box is impeccable--attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, without being intrusive. The cozy, welcoming atmosphere makes it a perfect spot for a leisurely meal or a quick coffee break. In every aspect, from the incredible baked goods to the delectable dishes and top-notch service, Bread Box Bakery and Restaurant truly excels. It's a must-visit for anyone who appreciates exceptional food and a warm, inviting environment. I am looking forward to having a tea party here with my daughter.

YOU RUINED MY DAUGHTERS BIRTHDAY!I can hardly find the words to express my disappointment. We made a reservation with you almost a month ago. YOU CONFIRMED. We told you that we had 10 adults, 2 toddlers and an infant. We spoke to you several times, confirmed the room and I still have the text messages. We were celebrating my Daughters 33rd Birthday with a Tea Party brunch. We all bought dresses and appropriate attire to attend. We all arrived to be told that you gave someone else the room. The rude lady, who repeatedly referred to herself as the GM, made no apologies. She didn't seem to care at all. She said they had a conversation this morning and decided to give someone else the room. They set us up a few tables, that were hardly close to each other, in the middle of a full seating area. It was awful.Needless to say, we left. What a horrendous experience. Then we all had to find somewhere else to eat and try to salvage the event. Why do you bother making reservations if you can't accommodate them? We were coming to give my Daughter a Birthday experience and instead, you ruined the day.Update: We told you how many were in our party. YOU specifically said you felt that we would fit in the room since 3 of our party were under 3 yrs old. Why did you confirm our reservation then? I still have the text confirmation. Your unprofessionalism and pettiness shows as NO ONE used profanity or even raised their voice to your GM. We did not receive a full explanation, any assistance or an apology so We simply said that you ruined her birthday and we were leaving. Sadly, you are telling a ridiculous lie in an attempt to downplay your horrible service and failure.

We made a reservation here almost a month ago for my sisters Tea Party Birthday Brunch. Rented the room and confirmed. We advised that we had 10 adults, 2 toddlers and an infant. The lady said the room comfortably seats 12 adults so that it would be just fine for us. We spoke several times, confirmed the room and still have the text messages to confirm, as we were celebrating my sisters 33rd Birthday with a Tea Party brunch. We all bought dresses and appropriate attire to attend. We all arrived to be told that after reviewing events this morning, they decided to give someone else the room. The rude lady, who repeatedly referred to herself as the GM, made no apologies. She said they had a conversation this morning and decided to give someone else the room. Did not call us to notify the change, or anything. They set us up a few tables, that were hardly close to each other, in the middle of a very full seating area with other parties taking place. It was awful and not what we reserved. Needless to say, we left. What a horrendous experience. Then we all had to find somewhere else to eat in Tea Party attire and try to salvage the event for my sisters sake. Aside from not getting what we reserved, the whole thing was handled very poorly and we were treated as if we didn't have a month old reservation for that room, discussed several times.

This is a bit of a mixed review. I enjoyed eating breakfast at the Bread Box and found their baked bread to be delicious. Service was relatively fast and friendly. Nothing was outstanding, however, just pretty good. What really brings this review down is my experience ordering a custom cake. I ordered one of their Mexican Embroidery decorated cakes for my birthday. I wanted the funfetti flavor with both raspberry and chocolate ganache filling. When I told the woman working the counter that I was interested in a custom cake, she wrote down the phone number for someone named "Tina" on the back of one of their cake option cards and said to text her. I found that a bit strange, but figured it would be fine. Turns out "Tina" is the owner. It took several days of texting back and forth to finally get my cake ordered. Again, I did not order anything complicated, as the decoration I wanted is one they already offer and I got standard flavors/fillings for a 9" cake. Tina was helpful about choosing a size of cake to order. When I tried to pay a deposit, Tina said she would call me to take the payment. Several weeks went by, no phone call. I texted her again, she responded a day later and said she was sorry, she had my order form in front of her and would call about the deposit. The photo she sent was an order form for some little boy's birthday cake with a fire truck on it, so I promptly told her that wasn't my cake and had to send her my order all over again and remind her of how much she quoted me. She then apologized, said she had the order, and that I could just settle up 1 week before the pickup date. I said ok, and can you please email me an order confirmation for my records (at this point I only had texts). She said she would but, no surprise, I never received anything. I did not get a call 1 week before pickup and had to call the Bread Box to try and get someone to take my payment less than a week before pickup. They apologized again and Tina did finally call me a day later to take payment. I will note that Tina was having an emergency issue with an animal a week before my pickup, but that doesn't explain or excuse the previous issues.I picked up the cake the day of the party, and I could see it sitting in the front fridge, totally open and unboxed. It looked ok, but it has been my experience that leaving a cake open like that in a fridge or freezer leads to dry, heavy cake and crusty icing. Well, that is exactly what I got. The funfetti cake was dense like a pound cake and not very flavorful. The filling was ok, but the chocolate had mostly soaked into the cake layers. The buttercream frosting was hard and crusty, and WAY too sweet. I expected a light, fluffy cake with creamy icing, but that is not what I got. The cake was a massive disappointment overall. The decorations also were only on the front, which wasn't made clear to me when I ordered it. That may have been my bad, but for $95, I expected a lot more.TLDR: actual food and bread is good but not great, service is awesome, custom cake was not very good and too expensive as well as hard to order.I honestly don't think I will ever be back as I don't live in the area, but for those in the area, it is worth a visit for a regular meal.

Chicken pot pie was superb plentiful of tender chicken pieces and loaded with peas , carrots, potato chunks in a savory gravy. The bed of fresh spring greens had a thick homemade ranch dressing that was delicious.

I've been wanting to try this place for years but always forget about it because by the time you see the sign you're already passing it, probably on your way somewhere else lol. I actually reserved a table on Google because I figured there'd be a lunch rush. lol nope. The reservation was not needed. Additionally, because we hadn't been there before, we just sat down and started talking. It took about 20 minutes for us to realize you have to walk up to the counter to order. The lemonade was nice and sweet and tart the way it should be at a Texas cafe. My burger was delish and I tried a bite of the quiche too. The only downfalls I would say are that there are too many tables smushed together and the place needs a good cleaning. Coincidentally, we saw TWO people get hurt during our visit. One dad stood up from the table with his girls and hit his head very hard on the corner of the lantern chandelier. The other was watching one of the employees take a fall while she was as trying to come inside with plates and stuff. The place needs a a good cleaning and a furniture setup simplification to remove some hazards. I definitely want to go back and try other things but will hope they start the new year with some minor facility improvements.

I can't say enough about this place from the decor and vibes, the absolutely fresh and delicious food, and the warm and welcoming service. Their pastries, kolaches, cupcakes, cakes and pies oh my! Even their fresh baked bread wafts in the air inviting you into this delightfully sweet shop. It's like a lady's quaint little tea house. Come and see.

We stopped at this location initially based on the reviews. Sadly, soon as we walked in the door instead of being greeted we were more welcomed with a nonchalant "is there something I can help you with". Unfortunately, the place is already set up plantation style so with the nasty unwelcoming welcome we decided to take our business elsewhere. With that being said, my rating is simply based on the lack of customer service we received, as we elected, not to order food at this restaurant.UPDATE: the owner explains it all! My review didn't "imply" anything other than what was specifically stated #lowexpectationsofserviceRESPONSE TO PUBLIC POST BY OWNER: clearly you don't know what your business hours are because the time in which I made this post you all were NOT even open so that should have IMPLIED that I was not speaking of today! Now I'm done replying to your foolery , I'll share my experience on all available platforms! With other local officials etc #takecareMRTINA

This review is for the high tea only 3/5Service 5/5Ambiance 5/5Our friend made a reservation for a ladies' high tea service on a weekday for 11am. We looked forward to it and walking in we loved all the floral decor and cuteness of this shop.We received our tea tower to serve the 3 of us and our tea. Disappointing:- no menu to choose your own individual tea to steep in your own individual teapot. - tea provided was only a slim selection of packaged tea bags to steep in your own tiny tea cups. - no honey or milk to add to your tea table side. However, small brown sugar cubes were available. - no table side jam or curds available - sandwiches were tiny , could have used a little more cucumber. Positives:- friendly service, the girls checked on us frequently - limitless pot of hot water was provided. For $25 per person we did not feel it was worth it. We noticed customers come here for lunch, and all dishes ordered going past us looked fabulous and delicious! Lunch here is where they shine! Large sandwiches, salads, and quiche that come with a house made cookie and tea are clearly the winners. We'll have to come back not for tea service, but for lunch!

I ordered french toast for $12. No sides included. I received french toast that was made from two slices of sandwich bread that were barely warm. We paid $12 for that. Cannot recommend. My husband ordered breakfast with 2 eggs over easy. The yolks were over- cooked and the egg whites crusty. The server should have known not to bring them out. We will not return.
