The Big Bib BBQ - New Braunfels

Quick and amiable counter service. Slipped in right before closing last night for take out. Restaurant was full with a private party, yet staff couldn't have been more accommodating. Their lean brisket checked all my boxes. Nice color, aroma, texture and bark. Not to mention just the right amount of smoke. Have always been a fan of the mother ship in SA. This is now my go-to in New Braunfels. Nice job, guys.

I was so disappointed in this experience. I am a reviewer and have read so many great reviews on this place. We came on a Saturday around 5. They told us they were out of everything. We ordered what they had left, brisket and jalapeño sausage. They were out of their sides too...? So, we took what they had. It took 30 minutes for them to make our Togo order and there was only one person in the restaurant. I am very confused on the pictures and great reviews they have received. Not at all the experience we had. Not to mention, in spite of this awful experience, they didn't offer any type of discount or apology. It was just it is what it is. Even made a fuss over asking for extra bbq sauce... which to me, was the least they could do. Interesting for sure. Be careful trusting these reviews.

This establishment has easily become my favorite spot in town to get barbecue from. I love everything they serve from their drinks, meats all the way to the sides. My favorite meat to get are the rib tips. They are so juicy and full of flavor! My favorite side is the sweet potato casserole, but I also love the baked potato casserole And their potato salad. On my visit today, Mrs. Sheila gave me a sample of turkey while she cut my rib tips. It was so moist, tender and full of flavor. It took an extreme amount of discipline to not order a pound of that in addition to the food I had already ordered. All of the staff are customer service oriented! I always receive a welcome when I walk in the door as well as a big smile and great conversation. Although Mrs. K is out for a couple of weeks, I'd like to include her in the review as well because she is awesome! If you are in the market for some great barbecue, I'd recommend you giving this place a try! You will not be disappointed!

My wife and I stopped in on a Thursday early evening. We were immediately greeted and asked if it was our first time, which it was. I think the ladies name was Laura and she explained the menu to us and made recommendations.The area was very very clean, workers were extremely pleasant and checked in on us when we got our food.I got the back back ribs which were delicious and a nice serving for the price. I tried all the sauces with ribs and my favorite was the mustard one. The beans were good as was the potato casserole. If we lived in the area we would for sure frequent here.

I did not catch the ladies name behind the front counter maybe Laura, but she was so very helpful. The customer service was top notch! The food was great, I was really enjoyed my brisket. My hubby landed on the ribs and he got what to me looked like a bunch he was stuffed. Great food and service we will definitely be back when in Texas again!!

Bbq and Big Red, ahhhh tastes like home! The brisket is delicious, the chicken fall off the bone good and the sauces are flavorful. My only real gripe is that no one talked to us who worked there other than to take our order. I even attempted to say hello to the lady who is slicing the meat and maybe she didn't hear me, but she just kind of ignored me and looked off in the distance. I think a little more friendliness from the staff would go along way and help complete the experience.The restaurant is clean and the bathrooms are as well.

We love the San Antonio location but the New Braunfels location misses the mark. We've been a few times but waited until they were up and running a while before leaving a review.Customer service is awkward, menu is difficult with different "levels" of sides, and it's just over all cold and unwelcoming. The food is not on point here; the rib tips tasted like they were a day or two old and just reheated, the moist brisket was lean and dry, regular sides were basic and plain, and then the premium side of collards were bitter and had no flavor.

This is delicious beef! And the choice of BBQ sauces run the gamut from Tangy Gold with its slight sweetness, Hot n Spicy that has a nice kick to it but nothing too hot to handle, Honey BBQ (just a tad sweeter than the gold) and the standard sauce called Bib Sauce which is my favorite. But back to the beef! The chopped brisket was moist, fresh and mouth watering. You get pickles and onions as an option on the side and great Texas hospitality to boot!Oh, and be sure to try the sweet potato casserole. It's wonderfully crusty with a nutty, buttery finish. And it's an appropriate way to finish this delicious meal.

The Big Bib is our favorite BBQ restaurant in New Braunfels. All the food on the menu is amazing. The Baby Back Ribs are especially good. Service is also excellent. The restaurant interior is decorated with great picnic tables.
