The Beignet Stand

We were on our way to the shop two spots down and I saw the sign for this with no line. Immediately doubled back. My go to coffee is Cafe Au Lait and I knew the other spot would not carry it and the Beignet Stand had to serve it. Sure enough it was on the menu! The drink was perfect. We ordered the beignet breakfast sandwiches. Wow were these huge! The egg was so delicious and bacon crispy. Next time we'll share one and get an order of the classic beignets! Service was great! I see they have a drive thru. Anyway do not pass this place up to go two spots down. You won't regret it!

Wasn't planning on going to the Beignet stand but saw the sign and pulled in. A selection of different beignets to choose from. I picked the 8 pieces thinking they were smaller than the NOLA version. They were big enough to share with 2-3 others. This is a walk up or drive through business. No going indoors. You order outside at the window. There is outside seating.. great place, hoping to go back soon

Drive thru is a bit tricky on the way it is constructed. The service is amazing. I'm pregnant so I need my eggs well cooked and they offered to accommodate a fried egg instead. I thought that was very generous considering it isn't on the usual menu. The only reason for not 5 stars is because the inside was still runny BUT the effort was there and I appreciate them. Food was delicious regardless.

This is a small, old fashion food stand that rivals the Big Wheels of the Beignet Establishment. These folks have their very own twists on the traditional French donut, but they also satisfy the purists who just want the plain and simple beignet. While this style, using a thicker cut of dough, comes out full of fluffy deliciousness, they are actually less airy, with fewer larger air pockets, than their New Orleans counterpart. I imagine this style enables them to make the sandwiches that they make, using a beignet in place of a bun. Kudos to the girl at the counter for taking the time to come outside to deliver our coffee and then again later to bring fresh, hot beignets! The Beignet Stand has a good thing going - a good combination of quality of food, atmosphere, and service. I hope not only to return soon, but also that the Beignet Stand will endure and maybe become a standard fixture of San Antonio's cui-scene.

Really good breakfast sandwiches. I got the ham, egg & cheese. I was nervous about getting it because I had donut sandwiches before and they were super greasy. The breakfast sandwich wasn't greasy. The dough was fluffy & had lots of egg/ cheese/ ham. It was nice and full with all the ingredients. Probably a new favorite. I got an iced mocha & it was good, but I like more chocolate. I ended up adding more chocolate when I got home. That's the only con & that's a personal preference. The stand was super cute. There is parking & seating outside.

Cafe du Monde, you have been beat! So very soft and fresh. The filling is messy but ohhh so worth it. I did not expect to get three fairly large size beignets for $8, and then be asked which flavors, plural. Like being in Willy Wonka's Factory. I think my mind exploded with beignet deliciousness. The girls working were so very accommodating and friendly.

This place is AWESOME. They have the best beignets in town! They are always hot and fresh. I stopped by about 20 minutes before closing and they still made my beignets fresh. I'm always worried about ordering from a place this close before closing time, but you do not have to worry about it here.It was my first time here, and since I was heading to the brew pub next door for a bit, I wanted something that was going to stay fresh by the time I got home. I asked them for advice, and they suggested the churro flavored ones with strawberries on the side (instead of pouring them over the beignets).They told me it would be 5 or 10 minutes, so I went to wait in my car. I totally planned on coming back to the pickup window in a few minutes, but they were ready early, and these guys went the extra mile and found me in the parking lot and delivered my beignets. Their suggestion was wonderful. Everything was fresh when I got home.These guys really won me over with their service and their friendly hospitality.

Ordered breakfast beignet sandwich. It is huge! Disappointed powdered sugar was sprinkled on the top of the beignet sandwich but did it at home. Next to me I will eat there instead of taking to go. The beignets should be experienced fresh. They are yummy!

The beignets are AWESOME. The orange blossom late is very good and not overly sweet. Patience guys, the wait is worth it. I will be going back!

Classic and churro Beignets were delicious. Seasonal not so much. Chicken sandwich is greasy and flavorless.
