This is a small place, close to the Alamo. The ambience is not the best, but it is definitely worth coming to.The food was so fast, and so fresh. I feel like they made my sauce to order. So good.

The name on Google is now KK Thai Lao & Sushi. I wanted some sushi and Thai food while on a business trip in the area. When I got to the restaurant, none of the sushi on the menu offered were calling to me so I just ordered the Green Curry with Chicken and Black Sticky Rice with Mango for dessert. Both were mediocre at best. They use thin strips of chicken breast that felt overcooked and dry despite being in a soup dish. It looked almost like it was green food dye on the chicken. Better off using chicken thigh in a soup dish. It doesn't get as dry when overcooked. They must precook the chicken in strips to quickly toss into other dishes to cut down on cooking time. The Black Sticky Rice with Mango was also meh. The rice wasn't very "sticky". The kernels were easily separated and not sticking to each other much like I am used to. The mango and the sweet coconut sauce were bland.

This place is now called KK Thai Lao & Sushi. If you're craving Thai food amongst all the Riverwalk Tex Mex and American options, then this place is for you! It's just a few block from the river in a small unassuming shop. The Pad Thai and Basil Fried Rice was delicious and fresh. The fried egg rolls were just okay. They were closing and we were the last table. Yet the service was still friendly and prompt.

One of my favorite Thai restaurants in San Antonio. Small, quaint and intimate, the authentic taste of the food packs a punch. During lunch time it's pretty busy but she always serves you with a smile!

I got there 43 minutes before closing and was worried I would keep them open later than they wanted. There was another table who came in after me so I was lucky! I started off with fresh shrimp spring rolls. So wonderful, tasty with excellent dipping sauce. I then Ordered yellow curry with shrimp. It was served in the most adorable dish with a lid. The curry was colorful, full of veggies and shrimp and tasted heavenly! I should have told them I would like to have had it a little more spicy but I literally ate the entire serving so it did not matter. This is a quaint place, minimal decor, one server who may be the owner and they do not serve alcohol. I loved it!! Highly recommend!

The woman who served us was very sweet. She came to check on us to see if we enjoyed our food, cleared the table of emptied dishes and made sure our water glasses were full. We enjoyed the Thai Lao sampler, Tom Kha and chicken pad Thai. The chefs in the kitchen got our food out quick.
