Always love to come here for most basic Asian/Filipino ingredients and favorite snacks and treats. Prices are always way cheaper than Tim's Oriental (an issue I don't really understand, Tim's is bigger and have huge inventory inside their huge warehouse and still offer more expensive stuff) and customer service here is way better. Just make sure to check your receipt for number of items scanned. It's not intentional but it's human error, I had several times one extra items on my receipt so I had to go back and have them take it off my receipt. They have smaller place and limited selections but it's always clean, well-kept and no funky smell at all. It maybe way farther from your place but it pays to drive here for better and cheaper pricing than Tim's. Always love it when they still have the boiled peanuts on Saturday mornings. They usually have it Fridays but you'll be lucky if there's still some on Saturday morning, and today is a lucky day for me.

My go to when I want Thai. I've been going to the 1604 and Potranco locations for 7-8 years now. Can't go wrong with the lunch specials. My favorite is the Pad Woon Sen with Shrimp or Beef. Spring Rolls are delicious as well. Service is always quick and friendly.

It's a very small market but well organized. It is much easier to find something here compared to Tim's Oriental which seems to randomly place stuff. They have an extensive selection of fruit syrups that are hard to find at other Asian markets. My big complaint is that there is no visible display for the customer when the cashier is scanning your items. You need to wait until the receipt is printed to see what you were charged for individual items.

If your looking for a close Asian market and don't want to drive too far - this place is it. Friendly staff and carries the essential Asian ingredients to make you sweat meat in the kitchen!

This is a small little market, maybe 4 or 5 rows of shelves, some refrigerated space, some produce... it's not the best, but it's better than nothing at all in the area. The staff were super nice and helpful when assisting us with findings certain things. They definitely have a large selection of noodles and ramen, from all countries. The prices are a bit steeper here than I had expected. I think I saw one microwavable ramen bowl priced at $7.99 each. The same one at the Seoul Asian Market was $4.99. So prices vary drastically. Will def use this place if I need a quick item, but not for a full load of groceries.

Thai Hut Market is on the West side of town and is kinda out of the way from where I live. It is a small market but is my go-to for certain Thai items. The staff are friendly and is always willing to help if you can't find a certain item. So far, this is the only place that has Hale's Blue Boy syrup and that alone is worth driving for. Most items are reasonably priced, with very few items that are marked up more than I feel they warrant.

I like this market. And it reminds me of every Asian market I've ever been to. It's small but they have everything you'd expect at reasonable prices. Sometimes HEB doesn't have the right type of Asian food ingredient, so having a spot close to my house is great! For instance, I bought my usual 25 lb of jasmine rice for $24.99 which is on par with similar markets in SA. And they have all the treats that my mom used to buy me when I was a kid that I didn't really like but ate them anyway to make her happy. The owners and/or workers were friendly and knowledgeable. Everything is laid out in a thoughtful manner. I was in and out in less than 6 minutes. What more do you need? I think it's open from 10-8pm everyday.

Yasss! Due to the scarce of Asian markets in SA, I am so glad to have found Thai Hut.I have been craving Filipino food for awhile and decided I'd make my own.. the dilemma is where to get the ingredients? I found a couple of Asian markets around and chose Thai Hut instead. To my surprise, they have a pretty decent selection of Asian goodies, produce, fish, seasonings and more. I love that unlike other markets, this store is very clean and organized. The attendant was very helpful and spoke great English. The prices are also not outrageous considering that everything's imported (from California? Haha). This is a family owned store where the whole family, even kids are present. One toddler was on his bike, riding around the aisles. Honestly, it's not cute and there are a lot of safety concerns that should've been considered. Speeding from aisle to aisle and falling.. one word- unsafe. Another little girl were in her rolling blades but unlike the little boy, she knew her boundaries and stayed with her mom (assuming that's her mom) at the cash register. All in all, I got what I needed and was able to satisfy my Filipino food craving. Thanks Thai Hut! Will see you again soon.

Many of you are familiar with Thai Hut the restaurant but not this newly opened Thai market just a short distance down the road (or up the road depending on which way you're traveling). This is a smallish market located in a strip mall, next door to Bahama Bucks. Immediately upon entering you know you're in an Asian market. The entire store is rather antiseptic, with nothing but barren walls, and new shelves with Thai cooking staples adorning the shelves. Products are placed with like items e.g. fish sauce, soy sauce etc. together; various curry pastes collocated, you get the picture. Along with the canned and processed items you'll find a couple of coolers containing vegetables and cold drinks. We've needed an Asian market on this side of town and this will have to do for now. It's nowhere near the size of Tim's nor does it have the cool/hip factor of Minnano, but it'll have to do. So, if you're in need of some curry paste, coconut milk, palm sugar, and fish sauce, this place will hook you up.

Just walked out literally 2 mins ago from this store, and even though they had what i needed and they are close to my house. I am going to find somewhere else to spend my hard earned money. The employee was rude banging my groceries around when he was packing them, never said a word as to wether i needed any help while i was shopping and he stared at me and my husband the whole time like we were gonna steal something. No thank you , no have a good day nothing. He just acted like we were bothering him terrible service, wont be returning.
