Love the Tiger Cry Beef here, one of my fave restaurant dishes anywhere. The curry and pad thai are also great as well. I like the pad thai because it isnt dripping in sauce like some places serve it, its not dry either but just right. The staff is super friendly and never had any issues either dine in or carryout.

I feel like I've been here before, but I can't remember. Took your recommendations and tried the Thai Eson soup. At least I think that's what I ordered? My receipt said chicken noodle soup, so I guess I'm not sure. Either way the broth was delicious! Noodles, chicken, cilantro, bean sprouts & like on the side. Once I added a hot oil for some spice, all was right in the world. Also try the Seafood Rangoons, and y'all, they actually had seafood in them. Well, crab meat anyway. And let me say that they were delicious! The ambience is pretty nice. Spacious, open & clean. They had pics of what I'd imagine is their popular dishes posted on every table with what it was under the food pic. Yelpers I'm sure would love this! Ha Service was service. Not overly friendly, but provided everything I needed. I definitely wouldn't mind coming back and trying some other dishes, but I what had tonight earned four stars!

The tiger cry alone earns 5 stars grilled, flavorful and tender and the sticky rice was made well, the stir fry vegetables and chicken are savory goodness! The Thai Esan soup is unique and authentic, with a slightly milder flavor than other Thai soups. The owner is so kind and you can tell she is passionate about the food cooked in her restaurant and making sure customers are happy.

We were craving Thai food and this place caught our eye. Came after the lunch rush so it was nice and quiet. It was a lot nicer than we expected and were immediately greeted by the host/server. Ordered the Thai tea and regular unsweetened. Both were great! Out came the veggie spring rolls, House made sweet chili, peanut sauce, chili oil and red hot sauce. Very crisp and fresh. My wife ordered the Penang curry and I ordered the Tom yum noodle soup. You could taste every single thing going on in both dishes. The curry was thick, sweet and salty but it wasn't over powering. Just super savory. And the noddle soup? The broth I would've ordered on its own. They have one chef in the back and the two sweetest lady's up front. This will be a weekly stop!

I have a new favorite restaurant! I decided to try a new place for dinner and I'm glad I did. I found this place thanks to raving yelp reviews. I ordered the beef curry panang. It comes with white rice and I got a side order of fried rice. My partner ordered the chicken pad wood sen, that also comes with white rice. He said it was so good he overate! The beef in my dish was so tender and savory, it just melts in your mouth. The spice and peppers work so well in the curry and mixing it in with rice is satisfying and filling. The fried rice is well seasoned and flavorful! We ordered through DoorDash and still received our meals piping hot. If you haven't tried this place, you're missing out on some of the best food in the area!

I'd eaten here before and haven't had any issues. The food quality was good and we enjoyed it but i guess spending $34 for lunch for my dad and I left me wanting a better experience. Since my dad was in town and loves thai food, i took him here to get their Drunken Noodles. He loves shrimp, so i requested this dish with both beef and shrimp which they said would be an additional $3, which I wasn't concerned about. Our food came out promptly but I guess I was expecting more. There were only 3 shrimp on each of our plates. With shrimp prices at about $6/$7 a lb, i was expecting a bit more. Usually, at other places where I order the same dish, they don't usually skimp on the shrimp, beef or noodles. You could say I was disappointed and i probably won't be ordering this dish here again - I didn't really like the feeling of them ramming me without any K-Y.

This is a favorite place of mine! Yes, I miss the old ownership and really wish they didn't leave. They were so friendly, as well as the front staff! They always seemed happy to see us visit and took the time to have some small talk, especially the beautiful owner. (I never got her name) :( They are all missed! I hope they are doing well. God bless them! I was worried that the food under new ownership may have been different but not at all! The food is still the best and fresh! The Thai Essan Noodle Signature Soup is my favorite with tofu & spicy. The spring rolls are so good, too! The restaurant has always been so, so clean, which is such a huge deal for me and this has not changed. This restaurant has always been underrated and I am unsure as to exactly why, maybe the location? Anyway, the best thus far and I have been going for a couple of years now. Again, I am very sad previous owners are no longer there and I believe new owners need a chance to prove themselves. I must say, the woman who served us last week didn't seem very happy to be there but could just be her personality, and her service overall was still great and I can't dismiss that. Maybe a smile would have made this overall experience exceptional but either way, everything else still met my expectations. I definitely will keep going! :)P.S. A shout-out to the kitchen. The food is still great and the cleanliness is what makes me keep going! I thank you for all your hard work and fresh ingredients. Also the dishwasher, I see him working hard and comes to the front to set clean dishes for the waitresses. Very hard worker, please keep it up! :)

The last time I lived in San Antonio, Thai Esan was not around yet. I found out about this restaurant via an Instagram post.Thai Esan is located minutes from San Antonio Medical Center area. They specialize in Esan Thai (eastern Thai) food. I have only been here once so far and it immediately became my favorite Thai restaurant in San Antonio. The dining area is clean and reminds me of an upscale Thai restaurant. It would be great for a date, meeting, or any celebration/gathering (once things settle, of course). We had Esan BBQ pork and Moo Tod Gratiem. Both came with their own basket of sweet/sticky rice. The Esan BBQ Pork came out still sizzling on the hot plate and tasted as amazing as it smelled and looked. The Moo Tod Gratiem was freshly fried and also tasted as good as it smelled and looked. At first, I thought the portions were kind of small, but quickly realized it was just the right amount. The price might be a tad bit higher than other Thai restaurants I've been to in the area, but I guarantee you that it is worth the slight hike in price. For dessert, we had fried banana roll AND coconut ice cream with sweet rice.If you have room for one dessert, I HIGHLY recommend the fried banana roll. It has the perfect crunch from the outside (wish I knew what it was coated with) and the sweetness of the banana, honey, and ice cream. Normally, the fried banana roll comes with vanilla ice cream, but they only had half a scoop left. Lucky for us, they served it with a scoop of coconut ice cream plus that half scoop of vanilla. Either way, I guarantee I would've still loved it with "just" the vanilla ice cream.I would also recommend the coconut ice cream with sweet rice if you still have room for more dessert. The ice cream, the rice, and the peanuts with the perfect crunch reminded me of grabbing ice cream off the streets of Thailand. There are SO many more options I want to try here. While I only tried these items, I have no doubt that I will be back for more and be satisfied.

We LOVE this place, great food, flavor is so good. The owners are so friendly, we go once or twice a week, our favorite, you won't be disappointed. The atmosphere is nice and the restaurant is very clean. I love the tea, most place don't make fresh tea. You get soup and tea with the lunch specials. Our favorite is Pad Thai, Pad Woon Sen, Sesame Chicken, Lemon Fish, spring rolls, almost everything is GREAT!! Fast service also.
