TLDR: A hidden gem of a place that's apparently a quarter-century long staple for Thai food in San Antonio.Thai Dee is a nifty little spot with very attentive service and a unique atmosphere. It's nice when a restaurant is consistent, and this one's been so good that one of my dining companions has been coming here on and off for 20+ years! The three dishes tried were the pad woon sen, the pad kee mao, and the pad see eew. The woon sen is a little on the dry side, understandable as it's got mung bean noodles in it. The flat rice noodles in the other two dishes were excellent, and the kee mao had a zippy amount of spice in it!There are two items to keep in mind:1) This restaurant is all hard surfaces, so it gets LOUD in here.2) Parking is limited to around five spots and it's shared with a convenience store that *will* tow you, so check where you park! This place scores a 5 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below.5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here.4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK having a nosh here with Mother Mary.3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus' Dad.2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. Wouldn't have my last supper here.1 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Nobody good. I wouldn't have my penultimate supper here, either.

I don't know how I haven't reviewed this restaurant before. It is a staple in my eating-out rotation mainly because it is so consistently delicious and nearby. This is my favorite restaurant to enjoy a plate of pad woodsen with tofu. A simple dish but done exceptionally well and the entire staff makes me feel welcomed and appreciated whenever I order. Overall I cannot recommend it enough. Only drawbacks are small size and small parking lot that seems to always just only have one last parking spot open. Don't judge the shady location too hard, there is an excellent interior and it's BYOB (optional)!

Some of the very best Thai food in San Antonio! The Thai beef salad is exceptional, flavorful, fresh and the beef is tender. The spicy eggplant with chicken, beef and hot peppers, pad see ew and pad woonsen equal deliciousness too. Don't forget to get a jasmine iced tea, refreshing and soooo good.

This place has been a hit or miss for me! I've gotten take out here twice and the first time, the pad kee mao had the amount of spice and flavor you want in the drunken noodles, but the 2nd and 3rd time I ordered it, it lacked the spice and fish sauce-basil flavor. The pad thai the first 2 times were not great but my third time, the beef in the pad thai was super tender and the amount of tang and sweetness in rhe pad thai was amazing. I'm torn between giving this a 3 or 4 stars because of the inconsistency. I also ordered a papaya salad and it was way too sour. I do appreciate the ambiance of the place. Service was great all 3 times! It's clean and despite the small parking lot, I was able to park in front all 3 times. Hopefully, the next time I'm back, I can update my review and provide a higher rating

I ordered Pad See Ew it was a little dry, my husband ordered Moo Ping and he absolutely loved it so we ordered a second to go. We also had the spring rolls they were so crunchy and delicious paired with the sauce. The two female waitresses were very attentive and although I didn't like the pad see ewe I'll be returning to try another dish. The restaurant was clean so were the restrooms we will be returning

Not great, I got the pad Thai and spring roles. Not impressed by the meal. The portion was large which was nice for left overs. However the chicken was barely there, and it was extremely greasy.

It's been a minute since I was here last. Happy to say they're still the same, fantastic!!The service and food are spot on. It's nice when a restaurant is consistent. I had the Green Curry with chicken. The spice level was perfect. The flavor was amazing. Such a delicious meal. My son had the Thai Dee Curry with shrimp. This meal was also very good. My husband had the Khee Moa. I love this . The noodles, veggies and the spice. The perfect mix.

First time here, the parking was a little challenging at lunch time but we got in. The food was very good, I got chicken Panang curry which I enjoyed. The service was good and food came out fairly quickly. It's a bit loud in the seating area, not much sound barrier so conversation was a little hard because there was a very loud group a couple of tables away - nothing the servers could control but just though I'd mention. Thai Dee's lunch specials for $13 are a really good deal! We got the Basil noodles, Pepper steak beef and Three flavoured fish. The Pepper steak beef was really flavorful while the fish had a sweet but tangy flavor to it - I really liked the crispy bits on the fish!
