So my first time going wasn't enough I had to come back a second time, some atmosphere as last time a little more quite since there wasn't as many people, but I will say Dylan at the front is awesome I dealt with him both times he's super friendly answered all my questions dude deserves a raise amazing service, this time I opted for the chicken teriyaki with noodles and boy was I not disappointed, the flavor was great the chicken cooked to perfection and their noodles are amazing I loved them amazing experience once again they have a 2nd location opening up next to where I live can't wait to check them out too!

I went in for pickup, so I can't really say much about the interior. However, it was just like a standard fast food restaurant, there was some seating, but it seemed more accommodating to takeout. The person behind the counter was friendly.I was very excited to try this place because of the food reviews, but sadly, it fell short. There was a lot of rice and it was quite undercooked too. I could feel some of the grains scratching my throat as it went down; it wasn't painful, but it did not feel very good. The chicken had a great char flavor, but it needed more sauce for flavor and moisture. My favorite part was the sautéed vegetables because they had the most flavor and were cooked to perfection! To conclude, the food was not bad, but it could use some tweaks and more sauce. I saw that adding more teriyaki sauce was extra, but I don't think I should pay extra for the food to be flavorful and not dry. Maybe it was an off day, but I don't think I will ordering again.

TLDR: Great Asian-Style take-out.I'm amazed this place hasn't been reviewed yet, this is the University Heights outlet of the excellent Teriyaki Madness chain. In short, good and fast Japanese-style bowls. While the inside is pretty basic with 6-7 tables/booths, most of the business is set up for take-out. Standouts are the fried Orange Chicken and the Steak Teriyaki, but no matter the dish, the rice, noodles, and vegetable options are all hot and uniformly very good. Highly recommended if you like Asian takeout!This place scores a 5 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below.5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Ahh finally getting some California restaurants here in Texas. Please,please,please open one here in Converse or universal city.I can't speak for everyone but, no more Texmex. Good God all you see is taco places. It's nice to see a restaurant that doesn't have on Hispanic item on their menu.

If you're craving teriyaki goodness, Teriyaki Madness is probably a good fit for you.The restaurant itself is always clean and the staff is very kind, but other than that the place has that very standard, middle of the road chain restaurant feel. Nothing too special.The menu is more specialized to keep with the teriyaki theme, so it is a little more limited than other Asian food places. Regardless of whether you order in or to go, your meal comes in a to go container, which makes taking leftovers home ridiculously easy. They'll ask you if you'd like a teriyaki sauce bottle for the table and if it's your first time, you might as well go for it. Every dish comes with a small container of teriyaki just in case, but you may find that you want that extra teriyaki sauce. I personally think they're made with the right amount of sauce, but my fiancé loves to add extra. The servings are pretty large in portion and are very filling, and the teriyaki itself is very sweet.The food is simply okay for me: the rice has consistently had a mushier texture and is a little too bland, and the meat is always a little too chewy but never underdone. My fiancé however really likes the rice and doesn't have an issue with the meat. I'd recommend the yakisoba noodles as they've always been pretty good, and the veggies are seasoned and cooked very well. While I prefer the beef as my protein option, my fiancé is unable to pick which his favorite is as he likes them all. We've never had the desserts on the menu, but we can say that the egg rolls are probably some of the best we've had from a chain restaurant.Overall I'd give Teriyaki Madness a 3, my fiancé gives it a 4.5, so I'm leaving a solid 4 stars.

Came in for the first time since panda wasn't nearby and I gotta say it is a way better alternative. A post workout meal a steak teriyaki bowl hits the spot and it came out pretty fast. 10/10 would come again after the gym when I get the chance!!
