We got tostadas with a cup of cheese dip . They brought three types of salsa . My company ordered flautas de polka. They came with wuacamole salad, refried beans and Spanish rice. I ordered the trios plate. It came with wuacanooe salad, pico de gallo, refried beans and Spanish rice. It was very good. My companion ate all of his plate and said it was very good. Service is outstanding. Good music too! Love it !

This is one of the best places to eat in this area. The food is always fast, fresh, and good. I got the cheese enchiladas plate - 3 cheese enchiladas with gravy, rice, and beans. It was delicious and hit all the feels for my Mexican food craving. The service is always fast and courteous. My plate was $7.25! My friend got the liver and onions, which comes with rice, beans, and a side salad. This is her favorite place to get liver and onions - she used to go to Luby's but likes this a lot better. The liver is cut into fajita size pieces, so she said it makes more of the crispy parts. It was the special of the day so her meal was less than 6 dollars! The waitress was attentive and our food was out fast. I love the down home feel of the decor. Beautiful murals on the walls, and a private room in the back for if you have a large group. I have eaten here so many times - never ordered anything that wasn't great tasting. And so, so, so many options. I could eat here everyday - if only I lived closer.

Great service and good food , tasty plates with affordable prices . Lunch specials daily and even weekend deals . Menudo on point but bowl could be bigger and carnitas plate is vast!

Great service, friendly staff. I had the longest, hottest day and this place had the coldest beer! I ordered the molcajete (comes with fajita, chicken, shrimp & sausage) and it was delicious. It could have feed four people. I also ordered nopalitos, which are not for everyone, but I happen to love them. These were cooked well, with a little tomato and onion and did not have any of that slim on them. I will definitely hit this place up again if I am ever in town. OH! And they have a jukebox, with great songs! Loved that little extra!

TLDR; FULFILLS TEX-MEX(PECTATIONS)My dad & granny swear by this place. My granny specifically because on Tuesday they have the liver & onions on special and it's her favorite! Side note, I've tried it and it is pretty good and I'm not a liver person.Well I wanted to join them but wanted something light. So I went with the ceviche tostadas and I'm so glad I did. They were a generous serving of chopped shrimp with avocado. I was pleased with the serving and the price. It was two for only $6.25 and they paired so well with their complimentary avocado salsa.Highly recommend this dish, I'll be coming back for it again!

You want real authentic Mexican food at an affordable price come here. Located just 0.3 mile from the Mission San Jose. The food was excellent. Service was superb. I feel bad that I didn't get the name of our server. She was very helpful and attentive. Old school Mexican restaurant. Older tables, chairs and booths. No bells or whistles. Just the way we like it! I had taco al pastor, 2 enchiladas, rice and beans for $7.25(Whaaat?). My wife had molcajete(beef, shrimp, sausage, chicken, onion and peppers) served with rice, beans, guacamole and tortillas for $13.99. Large portions. She ended up with most of hers to go. Their quality and price beats the tourist Mexican restaurants in downtown San Antonio.

Their food is always amazing! My family and I always eat there before heading back to Corpus Christi after visiting San Antonio. The staff is always friendly, their prices are the best! If you want to avoid the tourist trap of downtown and pay for sorry service and food, I highly suggest going here. They serve up their chips with warm melted cheese when you get there. Enjoy!

Good food and service. Simple family style restaurant. Chalupas and crunchy tacos were on point. Chips and cheese sauce and sauces served before meal. Mexican Coca Cola -- extra points.

Absolutely DISGUSTING I was eating my food and found an acrylic finger nails in my taco meat the nails was navy blue with glitter and it was all chewed up like someone chewed it off of their finger. We told the sever and all she said was that they would take my plate off the bill. But NEVER once did the manager come out and talk to me and tell me sorry what a piece of shit at least have the guts to come out ur office to apologize for how disgusting you and your staff are. I WOULD 100% NEVER RECOMMEND!!!!

Delicious and you get a lot of food for a great price! Fed my family of 5 for under $50! Great lunch stop in between touring missions.
