Taqueria Mazatlan

Bueno no sé por dónde empezar yo vivo aquí en san Marcos, solo fui a comprar tickets de camión para mi hijo, la persona que estaba enfrente cobrando lo de el restaurante y lo de los tickets me dijo espere, pude ver sus dientes muy masudos para empezar, entonces al ver la línea enorme de gente para pagar que había decidí sentarme y pedir una cerveza para pasar el tiempo, mientras tanto escuché a dos jóvenes decir que pondrían tenedores en las mesas, yo como soy muy claridosa les dije entre risas nombre mijo mejor le dieran una buena limpiada a los servilleteros de las mesas y a las orillas de la barra de buffet y a la mugre de los cabezales de los asientos de los buts donde uno se sienta, el señor que estaba enfrente se llama don Lalo creo que es alguno de los dueños o el manda más la verdad no estoy segura, pero de lo que si estoy segura es de qué está muy sucio deberían de cerrarlo parece que salubridad no sé para por aquí ya que tienen muchísimas violaciones, está demasiado sucio por dentro el local las mesas se limpian y las sillas también ahora si que como dice el dicho nomás por donde ve la suegra, sin tomar en consideración los pequeños detalles como los porta cubiertos las orillas de las sillas y mesas, siempre está lleno por qué ahí se paran los camiones llenos de gente hambrienta que viene y va a México y pues con hambre ya quepero de verdad que es un verdadero azco el solo verlo por afuera no me quiero imaginar por dentro y aparte los dientes masudos de bienvenida de "DON LALO" que aparte huele a sobaco!

The place is not fancy but this omelette was great! They had a full buffet for just $9.99. The prices are reasonable for the quality of food.

Super busy on a Saturday. We walked in and seated ourselves. It was only after our food arrived that we noticed they had a full buffet. An entire seemingly authentic Mexican spread with menudo, hot wings, taquitos... They were super busy so the service was super slow. All in all, out food was plentiful and flavorful. Definitely a 'hole in the wall' but thats exactly why we stopped in. Reliable, affordable, authentic Mexican (not Tex-Mex) food.

Descent price, fair food. What sets this apart is they have a buffet. Can eat in for 9.99 or take out for 10.99, if correct it starts around 9am and ends later that night. Food wasn't the best but certainly not the worst, heck.. it's buffet food. They also have s regular menu as well.

We were on a road trip from Houston and came to San Marcos. We wanted to go to a taqueria and this one was available nearby. First I'll start by saying that the chips brought out were fried to oblivion. They were so bitter we couldn't eat them. The food was subpar. And to top it all off there was a PIECE OF KNIFE BLADE in my food. Unfortunately I do not have a picture since I was so taken aback from the situation and immediately contacted the manager. At least they reduced the ticket to half of the cost. I rarely post reviews but this experience was the worst I've ever had and I strongly suggest against going here.

ORDER FROM THE MENU. This review is not about the buffet. Ordered an enchilada and taco plate that was very good. Especially noteworthy were the rice and beans: both excellent. So many Mexican restaurants have flavorless rice or beans with no complexity. We enjoyed our meal and would go back.Yes, the parking lot could keep the vagrants out. Perhaps the interior could use a renovation. This is a day-to-day Mexican place that has a dedicated clientele of workers catching a bite. It's not about ambience or Mariachi bands. Adjust your expectations. Focus on the food. Seems quite authentic.

I'm not one to write reviews but this place needs to get shut down. 40$ total for 2 person buffet. The food was so awful. The beans tasted like dirt, the rice was hard and no flavor, the enchiladas were like fake cheese. Very displeased, I'm scarred. NEVER coming here ever again! I suggest whoever reading this does not enter this building; such a let down.There was a drunk guy laying down on the side walk with piss coming from his body, so gross.Also asked if they had root beer and she said "eh maybe" then we said if you don't have root beer we will take a Dr pepper, she said okay! Then came back with a bottle of big red... a bottle. Like at the gas station. I rather eat ramen than this ever again. Trash.

La muchacha que está enfrente el cual no supe su nombre pero es chaparrita morena y trae brackets pesimo servicio al cliente es muy prepotente se supone que ella está para ayudar y atender lo mejor que se pueda a sus clientes tanto del restaurante como los pasajeros de autobuses y su manera de contestar cuando ella no sabe y se le pregunta algo sobre los boletos apartados fue! YO NO SÉ NI QUÉ YO FUERA MAGICA ARREGLATE CON LOS CHOFERES CUaNDO LLEGUE y agregandole el tono de voz y sus gestos deberían de contratar personal más amable

The restaurant is so so okay at best but now $14 buffet for what very little selection there is is not worth it they have a very few things and a lot of it's just cheap fillling food you sure this is okay but you have this old man I believe he drives a red Ford pickup truck he's fat and bald and he runs away to customers he's rude and mouthy I tried talking to him one time and he just told me to shut up so that's why the restaurants around the corner are so full and everybody talks about their rude old manager and because of him you guys are losing money lots and lots of money because the people that come there first time don't come back after he mistreats them so all the restaurants around this location are making money because no one wants to come back and if you go to the local restaurants everybody talks bad about going to your restaurant so because of all these people who can't stand this big mouth jerk you guys are losing money but no matter how you put it you don't have enough good stuff on your buffet to make it worth $14 $10 was fair because if you really look at it it's a mediocre buffet yes always menudo but very little spices and when you guys have chicken mole they use nothing but chicken back butts no meat all bone the enchiladas are okay but I could go to Golden corral and eat 20 times more buffet variety for cheaper even Chinese buffets $10 you guys are children way too much for such little selection to eat first thing I do is I would fire that old man so the customers can come back and drop the price 10 $11 not 14 to me that was the only reason why I would go to that buffet to that so so building so I don't want to go back to your restaurant I'm not in the mood to get kicked out because that guy's a jerk but anyway just like Mexican people that you are you're never going to do nothing no one's ever going to tell him to straighten his ass out you could be increasing 20 30% if you got rid of that old manager but everybody's talking around the area that it's too much for too little of selection anyhow thank you have a good day

I order Micheladas of modelo especial and didn't taste like the modelo beer. Had a cheaper tasting beer. I did order the the shrimp coctel and was very tasty, good food.
