South side gem! I've been coming here for years with my dad. The food is always consistently delicious. Great tortillas, fresh beans and good cheeses! All the salsas are fresh and amazing! I hadn't been in 2yrs since my dads passing and went back today. Still as good as ever. Love this place, it holds a special place in my heart.

This place is the cutest hole in the wall and the yummiest too! I ordered some tamales for work and everyone loved them. They were all gone before you knew it! And the salsas that came w the tamales were so delicious too! Later I invited my family to have lunch here with me. The service was great! You can tell it's a close family, they were all there to help out. Everyone is super friendly. We had the enchiladas la Reyna which are very typical and it was like being back in Monterrey, MX! So delicious! Not greasy at all. They came with a small salad and potatoes. We also had the chicken enmoladas aka enchiladas de mole. I love mole & these enchiladas were so good!!! They came with rice and beans. Everything was so delicious! They even have pan dulce! And their coffee was also so great! We will be coming here for more yummy food! If you are in the area you must try this place out!

Good food and friendly service the wait time is a little long but the quality and quantity is worth the wait(call ahead if it's to go). I think one of the best hidden spots on the southside and totally recommend..

Supporting local business is the best way to support our loving community. Came to try out this small restaurant and I am so glad we did. Met the owners and her family members who help run it and was treated like family. They first served us corn and flour fried chips. Omg if you have never had flour fried chips you have to! They are amazing. They compliment the chips with a very Spicy but tasty salsa and a small bowl of beans with chorizo and cubed Mexican cheese. This combo was so good! Didn't last long as my kids ate it all up quickly. For lunch I had the chicken mole plate with rice, beans and some side salad. The mole was fantastic ! It's hard to get mole right but they had no problem with that. The rice and beans tasted home made. My girls had the red enchiladas "La Reyna" with queso fresco, rice and salad. The enchiladas reminded me of my moms. Don't tell welita but my girls said they were better than hers. . There was no trace of enchiladas, both mine and the kids. If you still have some room for desert they also have sweet bread or "pan de dulce" which goes well with coffee. I can't say enough. I wish I could give them 6 stars !

This place surely distinguished itself from the pack by their low prices, and by their delicious food. My family and I were looking for a new place for breakfast, and we happened to drive by this little place. We went in, ordered some huevos rancheros, and totally loved the food. I recommend their Huevos Monterrey. The salsa molcajeteada (made by hand on a bowl made of volcanic rock, Aztec style) is the main trademark here. They also add two slices of queso asado, and they're plated in traditional clay plates. Lovely food in this humble but quite effective hole-in-the-wall. Highly recommended. The waitress tells me that they also serve the queso asado, as well as chicharrón, in that lovely salsa molcajeteada.

My husband recommended this place after stopping in with his dad. His recommendations are usually 50/50 but I'm glad we came in for breakfast. It's a small restaurant but clean. We received awesome service. Their tortillas are homemade and delicious. Tacos and breakfast plates were awesome. I loved their red salsa, spicy but so good! This place gets five stars for freshness, taste, quality and service. I highly recommend this place!

Fantastic little restaurant with super-delicious menudo. My new favorite. It was full of tender tripe and the broth was so flavorful, but not salty. Tried the chicharron molca taco; also excellent. I've never seen it anywhere else. Ordered to go and they were so friendly and it was ready quickly. Need to try more of the menu.

Doesn't look like much from the outside but do t let that stop you. I went for breakfast at 10am on a Tuesday, chilquiles taco was incredible(1.75$) and got a carne Assad taco(maybe $2.50?). The asada is grilled nicely on the comal giving it a nice sear and they really filled the tortilla up. Green salsa is very tasty and the orange is more spicy.
