I just ordered the core trio: carne guisada with cheese, chilaquiles, and machacado.First off, the tortillas were super soft and fresh!! Must be homemade!The CG w/cheese was tender. Small chunks of beef in light brown sauce. Not too heavy on seasoning as I would like, but good.Chilaquiles was stuffed! Very good tortilla chip taste and sauce was great! Not much if any cheese.Machado was good. Nothing crazy special.Prices were fair and would go back just to try the tortillas again!

AMAZING food! Best I've had in a very, very long time... I've passed this restaurant for years and decided to take a chance on Sunday for lunch (since the parking lot usually full). Great gamble-- best asada I've ever had either here in Texas or in Mexico. Best salsas... generous portions with top quality food. Yay! I'll be a regular now!

First time trying this place. I'm lowkey let down. My food tasted so bland. I needed to add more flavor (salt), my tortilla broke up before it reached my mouth. In all honesty, the best thing I had here was the green salsa they give you for the food.I tried the banana milk shake, and you know how hard it is to mess up a milk shake?It tasted watered down..I usually enjoy Mexican restaurants. This one let me down. I probably won't come back.

I decided to check out this neighborhood eatery in spite of the numerous bad and sometimes shocking reviews.Ordered: Chorizo breakfast plate.The wait for my breakfast was a little long but understandable considering there were several patrons in the restaurant. What isn't ok is the quality of my meal. Chorizo and eggs that were nearly flavorless (previously thought to be impossible), refried beans using old manteca, and roasted potatoes that were cold. Not a good start.I was promptly provided fresh potatoes BUT I shouldn't have to ask. Why do things twice when you can do a thing right on the first try?The reviews are accurate and there are MANY tex-mex joints in SA...way too many to trifle with this place. On to the next!

I tried ordering supreme nachos to go and requested the chips on the side so as not to get home with soggy nachos. The receptionist first had to check with the cooks, and they said NO. WT??? Why not??? I cancelled my order. Going someplace else to spend my hard-earned money.

I give this place a low review for a number of reasons. Customer service was sad. Just because I am not bilingual, I could not communicate. The Michelada was absolutely disgusting! Who puts ICE in beer or pours beer on top of ice? I will say the prices were good and the food was delicious but I'm huge on communication and because of the lack thereof and the beer over ice, (like they had NO idea what a Michelada is, much less how to serve one), I give them 2 stars and I will not return. The food was good but not that good.

Nice food, a little small inside but its a great local restaurant with a lot of customers so I understand. This place has been there longer than ive been alive lol

We have been eating here once or twice a week for 15 years. We have always liked this place. Through the years various waitresses had different levels of English that we always have been able to deal with getting our order right.However, times have changed. They now only two waitresses in the afternoon, neither of which speak a single word of English and do not even try and get your order right.After all of these years, we will not go back for a while until these two waitresses are gone or are supplemented with other waitresses.We ordered huevos rancheros, One with beans and rice and the other with beans and a little lettuce. After many many words with her trying to make her understand how simple this was, we ended up with a bill of $22 because she kept bringing duplicates of things we did not order. When we tried to tell her that, she didn't understand that either and didn't even want to hear it.

Absolutely TERRIBLE experience. I went through the drive through and drove directly home, less than five minutes. My chicken crispy tacos were cold. I immediately called and I was told that their food was cooked fresh to the order. this can not be, as my food had no semblance of even a little heat. I will update after I address the manager tomorrow morning.

Food is good but the drive thru lady was nieve and forgot our drinks and for 2 people $50 big rip offAlways bad vibes never nice always Attitude.
