Taqueria El Potro

Tried this place because my sister in law brought tacos over to the house and gave me one. I fell in love. This spot is definitely one of my favorites in San Antonio and it's pretty close to my house.I feel like they are similar to the ones they have in the RGV.

We didn't expect that it will be this good!Service: The crew were really nice and give you recommendation on what's the best seller they have. Unfortunately, the time we came they only have Barbacoa and Pastor mini tacos. Place: The place was really nice for a nigh food trip with friends, loved ones or family. Across the El Potro you will see the Picosita which offers desserts that looks enticing as well. Food: I am not taco lover but this one made me want to eat more! It's really good. We ordered the Barbacoa and Pastor Mini Tacos and we loved it so much. I like the Pastor more than Barbacoa. Overall we enjoyed and loved every bite! See you again!

I just wanted some tacos tonight and found this truck! I got asada tacos (6 for $8.50) and an asada quesadilla, which was enough to be satisfied my husband and I. It was so so so so good! My husband said "I'm not done yet and still want more! Will definitely be going back

Yummy tacos! I love how tasteful and filling the tacos were. Would have given this place a 5/5 but beans were awful. Too much tomatoes and onions. Hardly any beans on them. This is a good truck right next to a firework stand off the of the road. Employees are friendly. Menu is very simple and easy to read as it only has a few items. They take cash and card. I would call and place an order ahead so you don't have to wait outside for too long. Overall, I would go again for the tacos because they're that special!

Staff: friendly. Establishment: it's in a good area. There's space to park there's another food truck next to it for shaved ice and things like that. Food: The tacos were ok. The green salsa isn't good. Very bland. The cup of beans were not as flavorful and the broth was very watery. Good presentation but I wish the food tasted as good as it looked.

Best tacos we've had in a long time!!! Meat is soft and flavorful, not overcooked. Employees were all kind and attentive. Will definitely be coming back!

Don't let this small food truck fool you to thinking that its just like any other food truck. These tacos are legit! The tacos remind me of the food you expect to find on the other side of the border when visiting a border town like Reynosa or Matamoros. The tacos are filled with either barbacoa or carne asada and are topped with fresh cheese (queso fresco), cilantro, avocado and onions. In addition to their tacos, their quesadillas are HUGE and come with lots of meat.Although they're only open in the evening hours, its definitely worth the drive for a delicious dinner.

Always a go to when you're craving tacos. Quality is always good, and they're not super greasy like other places. This is a Taco Potro.

Oh my goodness!!! The asada Street tacos fabulous!! I will be back. We were looking for authentic Street tacos and we found them at Taqueria El Potro

If you're from the valley, these tacos are it. The frijoles especiales are so good. And the hot Cheetos with cheese.
