Taqueria El Charro

I had a beef burrito with sauce and cheese. It was so greasy and salty plus they forgot to add my guacamole and sour cream but I didn't notice till I got back to work to eat. I feel like they are also overpriced.

Food was tasty and super hot. Asked for the green salsa but just got orange and red ‍Will definitely go inside to order next time. The prices on the menu outside were super difficult to read from sun fading. I'm still trying to wrap my head around how two breakfast burritos, three breakfast tacos (all the same), and 2 coffees totaled $34 . Looking at the online order menu, it should've only been $24 I was in a time crunch or I would've pressed the cashier to ring it up again.

If you want to go with a staple for tacos, you cannot forget to consider El Charro on Harry Wurzbach.If you are headed onto Fort Sam from 410 or 35, you will no doubt see it on the corner. I usually hit them up for breakfast tacos early in the morning.This visit we sat down in their dining area. The lunch time crowd was just coming in, but we had our choice of seats. We were greeted by our servers, ordered the regular (huge) limonadas, and were given a basket of chips and salsa to keep us while we waited for our order.I ordered the carnitas plate with corn tortillas and charro beans. I got enough food to make almost 5 tacos from the plate. It came with rice, beans, and salad.Scrumptious!The staff checked on us, and everybody, pretty regularly to make sure everything was great.Plenty of parking in addition to their drive thru. They make it easy to fill up on tacos in house or on the go.

Ordered the mini tacos and charro beans and it was all delicious. The staff was was super friendly. It was a great first experience definitely coming back.

Food and service were on point I will be coming back to try new items and for the beans.

There are a couple of dishes this place does right. Chilaquiles (verde), and the burrito. I don't venture far from those two cuz I know what I like and I'm sticking to it. I'm here to talk about the dang burrito I just ate. Bruh, try this: carne asada, beans, rice, cheese, crema, and grilled jalapeños (not pickled!). Splash on some of the rojo sauce and you'll be driving all the way down from Cibolo like I do for this burrito. There have been times I've tried to recreate this burrito at spots closer to me or locations close to Charro's when it was closed...and nothing compares! They even toast the burrito as a loving touch on the way out the kitchen. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is cuz there have been a few times where they messed up my order and I'm driving home without the complete burrito of my dreams.

Just went to get breakfast tacos and it was delicious! Decently priced and it didn't take too long to come out. Friendly service at the window too. The horchata was great and every taco we ordered was a hit!

The burritos are amazing. So is the horchata. I would recommend ordering in advance as sometimes there is a bit of a wait. I can't wait to come back and try the flautas!

Spend your lunch money somewhere else. I went for lunch and ordered the fajita tacos and they disappointed. 1. The meat was dry and they cut the meat into tiny slivers. For the price not enough meat, they stuffed with onions and green peppers to make it look full.2. The staff was unfriendly. Better off going to Taco Cabana.

I thought I would give this place another try / chance. By far the worse experience ever. You can order your food go shop at Walmart and you might be lucky your food is ready. Just horrible don't waste your time or money at this place.
