Tapa Tapa is very unique and creative. Always a new menu with something enticing you to try. Running into Tapa Tapa at Alamo Street Eat Bar was like running into a long lost friend. I had not seen them since last year. Tonight I got the Mac and cheese. So wonderfully rich and decadent. Definitely not your box of Kraft. Made with 7 different cheeses and topped with Cheeze-Its for crunch. So much complexity and so smooth and comforting. This will change your perception of mac and cheese forever. I also tried the fried chicken balls. Roasted chicken and risotto with spices that give a little bite, rolled into a ball then deep fried in a funnel cake batter. A nice sweet dipping sauce is provided that just makes it complete. Update: I tried the chicken livers and oysters, bahn mi style OMG!!! So very good. The livers and oysters fried to perfection in a light crispy batter. Then everything topped with fresh bahn mi style vegetables. The chicken livers were the best I have ever had. Crunchy on the outside and so smooth on the inside. I could eat these livers by the bucket. Head to Tapa Tapa and see what they have created today. I think you'll be happy you did.

Super friendly owner! I tried the braised pork sliders, and they were ready really quick! They were prepared with egg salad on the bun... how cool is that? Well, I loved it! The sliders typically are served w/ hot sauce, but my puny New York self still can't handle any "hotness" so it was left off with no problem. Don't judge. My friend also tried it and loved it.I'm so glad to have a place like this in San Antonio. I'll be back soon..

Who would ever imagine that watermelon, mint and pop rocks (of all things) could taste sooooooo heavenly!!!We stumbled upon this truck as we were leaving Boardwalk on Bulverde. The Owner (great, friendly guy - didn't get his name) offered us a sample of the watermelon...... it was incredible! He keeps the menu small, changes it daily and keeps it simple but absolutely delish! A must taste in San Antonio!

Visited Tapa Tapa for the first time last week and came away impressed. The owner was really outgoing and super friendly. We had already eaten so we just wanted an appetizer so we settled on the fried mushrooms with sausage gravy. Word of advise when you get them wait about 5 minutes before you try to eat them as they are piping hot....I know it will be hard but resist the tempation and your mouth will thank you later. The order comes with about 8 - 10 mushrooms and they are deliciouse. We ended up eating every single one. Pair them with a beer and you have the ulitmate bar food. On a side note Tapa also does chicken nuggets which we ordered for the kiddos. The kiddos aren't partial to spicey so Tapa's was accomodating with keeping the nuggets plain and throwing in a side of ranch.

Very disappointing that Tapa Tapa doesn't honor a commitment. There were many hungry people waiting at Joe Saglimbeni's for food to go with their wine tastings. I purposely skipped the opportunity to grab a bite before heading over to saglimbeni's after a brutal workout in anticipation of the weekly food truck offerings in the parking lot at the wine store. I was even more disappointed to hear that this is the second time Tapa Tapa stood up the crowd at Saglimbeni's...shame on you, Tapa Tapa!

A whole lot of goodness in one little truck. Tapa Tapa is usually parked out in front of the Brooklynite (another favorite haunt), and is great for some post happy hour grub. I've tried a few of their small plates, but my favorite by far is the Tuna Tartare. (Woah I rhymed!) Their menu is always changing and the owner is super helpful, so ask him what he recommends if you aren't sure. Bon Apetite!

So after weeks of stalking Tapa Tapa, I finally had the watermelon, mint, &pop rock dish. See I love these three ingredients individually. Together I was expecting fireworks. The texture was amazing for a hot summer night. Watermelon was refreshing and the pop rocks were a nice fun surprise. But the mint threw it all off. I am quite certain the fresh mint was bad or old. Does mint go bad? I'm sure it does. I am hoping this is what the issue is. The concept sounds amazing and this only means I get to try it again. On another note, I'm a huge fan of their Mac and Cheese. A creamy and cheesy goodness topped off with cheez-its! Yes cheez-it's! How come I never thought of this? The crunchy surprise sure does give Mac and Cheese a needed face lift. The creative ingenious is what Tapa Tapa allures you with and keeps you coming back to see what is new.

Walking into the boardwalk tonight tapa tapa was one of the first trucks I saw and it had a sign out front advertising pork belly. Sold. It was served over beans and a lil siracha. Scrumptious, tender, and delicious! Got to try the watermelon, pop rock, and mint salad. Fun and a great flavor combination. My husband snagged the last flauta on the truck, keeping with the theme it was yummy too. So happy the weather is nicer so we can check it out more often! And thumbs up for the super cute guy serving it all up ;)
