Tacos Vitali

Came to Tacos Vitali after getting a strong recommendation from a friend. I saw that this location opened up recently. I'm glad they had a drive thru, as that made picking up the food much easier. I tried both the bistec and trompo tacos. Tacos were good, but did not stand out compared to other amazing options in San Antonio. Price was a bit higher than I expected, but you do get good salsas, grilled onions, and potato with it. We also tried the lime pie which was good. I like that they have different options for the meat, so definitely coming back here again.

Great tacos and texmex dishes. Moderate prices. Not much parking. Very popular although not very exciting ambiance. Almost looks like is was some other kind of fast food under a previous owner. Food is made to order and service is good.

Lunch @ Vitali! The quesadilla was good with bistec and queso. The tacos were OK but were swimming in grease! Tortillas had a strong nixtamal flavor. Bistec was delicious. Red hot sauce tasted like habanero and was spicy. Green sauce was bland with no spice. Frijoles were OK but needed something: spice, salt, seasonings!? Came with onions which were a flavorless clump. Limes were a nice touch. I also ordered arroz con leche ...but the container was marked with Wednesday on it and today is Saturday --- so it's been sitting around for that many days!?!? Yikes!

COMBO # 2 $23 bux! 6 mini tacos + papas asada, charro beans, & 2 2 drinks!!! You have a choice of bistek, trompo, or mixto (beef, pork, or mixed). I always get the bistek & love, love, love it! Always served w/all the extras - potatoes, grilled onions, crackers, sour cream, limes, salsas. So yummy! Would eat here everyday if I could!!! :)
