Taco Rey

Cute taco place in hidden gem spot next to awesome coffee spot. Bacon and egg, bean and cheese, and papa with egg on homemade tortillas! Salsa was also fresh and tasty. No pics because we were hungry!

Wasn't able to get a picture because I ate my tacos so fast. I was next-door enjoying the coffee flights and decided to grab a taco. I got a potato and egg with cheese and use the green salsa. It was good. Your averahe taco, but the service was great. They have a taco ready quickly, so I could enjoy it with my coffee next door. I definitely would come back and eat breakfast here again.

We stopped in for breakfast. It's a small place but the person who helped us was so nice. We got a variety of breakfast tacos and they were all really good with huge portions (we each could only finish one).

This place was great! Loved that they are nestled beside Medina Coffee too! I had the breakfast tacos and the pancake platter....delicious!! The prices are great and the cashier is a sweetie! Definitely come here for breakfast and lunch!

Prices are actually very fair the chips are a little on the greasy side for me but the food and the people more than make up for it. The only thing holding them back from 5 stars is the competition SA is the best at breakfast tacos theirs come up a little short. The Gorditas and chilaquiles thought, chefs kiss

Taco Rey is my go to spot for weekend breakfast tacos! Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the Taco Cabana assortment my boss will bring in during the week for morning meetings, but this is San Antonio and standards are high; especially on a Sunday morning. Their flour and corn tortillas made in house fresh, as are the fillings. Watching everything hit that flat top knowing it will soon be ready for devouring gets the day started right. I usually go for a carne guisada w/cheese and onions on corn tortillas, and the classic bacon, egg, and cheese on flour. They have a ton more on the menu (including actual breakfast plates) but love my usual order so much I haven't tried them unfortunately, haha.

I really like this little family business. I would give it five stars because of the combination of customer service and how the food taste. Definitely worth trying. It's more of a fast food place, but has that authentic flavor. The menu is pretty huge, so you will frequent this place often to try it all.

Best spot fo breakfast! When I first moved to San Antonio I couldn't stop ordering from this spot because their breakfast tacos are amazing! My usual order is either their 3 breakfast taco deal or a burrito. The prices are very cheap too. Definitely should visit this spot!
