I'm never disappointed when I visit for a quick bite. I enjoy their salsa bar and cucumbers and if you haven't tried their flan, you really should. I also liked that they are adding healthier options to their menu.

Solid Mexican joint right next to the airport! My mom ate here and enjoyed our meal. The tacos and quesadillas were both delicious. I will say I was expecting the meal to be a little bit bigger for the price but it was still decent. The soup that we ordered was pretty bland so that was probably the one thing we wouldn't order again but the inside of the restaurant was nice and they let you get unlimited chips, dips, and toppings for your food which I thought was a very cool concept! If I was looking to get a decent meal pretty quickly I would definitely consider going here!

Visiting Texas on a work trip a decade after having lived there for 9 yeas and my personal mission was to visit Taco Palenque to try this delish before leaving. It did not disappoint.- THE FAJITAThe Beef Fajita just perfectly seasoned and grilled, coupled with the fresh flour tortillas built at just the right thickness, cooked thoroughly, right out of the griddle and with a spread of those refried beans. It's one of the best delicacies I recall from the Rio Grande Valley and that San Antonio now enjoys. You may want to enjoy this succulent combination either in a plate or pick any of the ingredients for the tacos available (Matamoros, Casero, Pirata, etc.) or if you feel fancy pants: Order Sirloin!- THE SALSA BARAs if this was not enough, the FREE unlimited chips that one can enjoy with: * Any of the TASTY 6 delicious salsas, varying from really spicy to normal.* Radishes* Limes* Pico de gallo* Pickled onions* Grilled onions with Jalapeño peppers.- LENTIf you happen to be there during lent you can enjoy fish tacos and Capirotada, which is a is a delicious Mexican bread pudding made with cinnamon, piloncillo, nuts, raisins, different types of bread, and cheese.- SERVICEThe staff was friendly, helped with a smile and answered my questions. While I waited for my food I was eating chips and salsa from the salsa bar... The only drawback is that dood came out in about 5 MINUTES! I had to stop eating chips & salsa because the fajita plate was in front of me now!- ENVIRONMENTEverything was clean. Loved to see how they keep it up!Overall, amazing job, amazing "fast food" restaurant that I wish had a location about 10 miles from my house so I go every 2 weeks.

This place did not suck. Although it was a little pricey, we had a great experience with getting food to go. Those beef fajita nachos were ridiculously good. Everyone enjoyed those. The street tacos had those cheap corn tortillas but the different sauces and the grilled onion they gave you on the side made up for it. Made a moving day very successful.

After several drive thru escapades at this restaurant, I'd say the best and fullest experience would be to eat in! So, you know the vibe at your best friends house. Where you help yourself to their fridge, drinks/snacks/ you know where all the cups and silverware and stuff is... well this place is THAT VIBE!The cashiers literally proclaim "Welcome home" as you walk in, there are multiple self ordering stations/kiosk, everything has a casual inviting atmosphere where you can select your own seating, self service beverage stations where I INSIST you try their delicious Horchata or Jamaica, and help your self to their FREE tortilla chip/salsa bar! It's affordable, modern, clean, warm, and satisfying!

I highly commend, mgr. Susy and her amiable and attentive team.It is so pleasant to be welcomed by the staff of this establishment. Taco Palenque offers a unique plate called The Carne a la Tampiquena. Apart from juicy meat, this delectable plate presents an enchilada and a taco. This plate could feed two people. The caldo de res is one of my favorite choices. Felicidades!

Great salsa bar, great food (despite the carne asada having a lot of gristle). Great service. Definitely coming back!

Considering how much I enjoy the Taco Palenque near me (#1), it would seem automatic for me to appreciate this one just as much. Like any chain, it has some of the same stuff that I have salute always: good (fast'ish) food, 24 hour access, and in a central area where it's conveniently located. However, they're slow. I'm not sure if they're understaffed but I've been here in the mornings after making runs to the airport for some breakfast tacos and also late at night when the munchies are kicking in hard. A drive-thru doesn't always guarantee quick service, it just means not having to get out of the car. I've waited as long as 30 minutes, which is an eternity in fast food land. Then the other faux-paus of drive-thru life happens too often: missing food. I've had to contact them for miscellaneous items that weren't part of my order, which I never discover until later. Management has been nice enough to make it right, but now I'm in the habit of checking the entire bag before leaving. If I've already waited so long, what's another minute to verify everything is correct?I noted previously, it's not a budget chain. SA prides itself on being a city of deals but $5 matamoros tacos isn't helping the cause. However, I'll never say no to anything of theirs that has that magical sirloin. I love it when they put a dollop of avocado on some platters, and think their palenque bowls are underrated. And since the drive-thru menu signs are perpetually whack at other locations, I'm appreciative that they've kept theirs intact and legible (#2).______________(#1) Taco Palenque UTSA: https://www.yelp.com/biz/taco-palenque-utsa-san-antonio-17(#2) I know this should be a given, but go to the other Taco Palenque locations and tell me their menus aren't falling apart and/or severely off.
