Taco 16th Street

My review is based solely on the tacos because I haven't tried anything else from their expansive menu. On a Tuesday, my wife told me she wanted tacos for dinner and randomly sent me a TikTok showing this location, so I figured she wanted to try this place. Since they have an awesome deal of $1 tacos on Tuesday and Thursday, I thought, why not?The location can be deceiving as it is quite spacious inside. There are multiple places to sit, a condiment bar for your tacos, and, of course, sodas and other drinks (horchata, lemonade, and something else).The tacos were not too bad. They were actually flavorful but came with a single tortilla instead of the typical double tortilla. But for $1, it's great. I decided to get 5 tacos for me, 5 for my wife, and 5 for my lunch the following day. I really like how you can get the onions, cilantro, lemon, and salsas yourself. Sometimes, places put way too much or too little, but here you can put the perfect amount to your liking.Just a side note: the deal is only for tacos de al pastor, so keep that in mind.Overall, great tacos at a great price. I definitely recommend trying them out--it'll only cost you a few bucks on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The staff was nice and helpful. They even gave a sample of the al pastor meat to the person in front of me so they could decide if they liked it before buying tacos.

Went for $1 taco Thursday, but couldn't resist getting a papa. It was very, very good. I did get one al pastor taco and it was delicious with the red salsa, onions, and lime. I'd come back and get more tacos next time!One thing I did not like is the smell of whatever cleaning solution they use for the tables and floors. It was strong. Not a huge deal, just something I noticed.

Found this place on accident. Me and a friend were just trying to cut through the parking lot when the window sign caught our eye. So glad we parked and came in. The staff were amazing and the inside is cute and comfortable. The food was absolutely delicious. I got the chicken quesadilla. The chicken was juicy and they did not skimp on the chicken. My friend got the baked potato with al pastor and when I say that was a huge potato it was a huge potato. The meat was well seasoned and juicy. Had the perfect amount of cheese and butter. We will def be returning. They have a $1 tacos on Tuesday and Thursday as well.

OfCOURSE I recommend Taco 16th Street. What a delicious place to eat! It's spacious and welcoming and seems like it would be great for larger parties and bigger dinners with the whole family.The menu is similar to what taco enthusiasts have come to know and love with the added bonus of a condiment bar in the middle of the dining area to get all the sauces and dressing your heart desires.I was a fan of the spicier poblano pepper and chile sauces myself. I ordered the quesadilla with double steak portion which hit the spot perfectly and drank a jarritos, as one does in times of such excellent food.

Everything on their menu is excellent! I'm a huge fan of their Mexican Style Hot Dogs and you haven't lived until you try their delicious Alambre Style Hot Dog. They also have $1.00 Al Pastor Taquitos every Tuesday & Thursday and thats definitely a deal in these times. The location is huge and there is plenty of room for parties and get togethers! Highly recommend San Antonio!

Second time trying this spot. The service is very fast and the workers are friendly. On Tuesdays and Thursdays they have $1 al pastor tacos and there isn't a set minimum or max like lots of spots. The have a self serve salsa bar with the fixings, when we went there was only two salsas available and the lines and other stuff was running really low but I'm sure they will restock when brought to their attention. My bf got some Fideo and a quesadilla, which was stuffed, yummy.

Fresh veggies, $4.33 dranks, hot fast service and flavors are 10/10! Everything is clean and staff is approachable. Try it out!

It's difficult to find a good taco spot in San Antonio especially if you're looking for a good tasting carne asada style taco. The waitress/manager/owner was kind enough to let my family try all the meats before we purchased I thought that was amazing customer experience. I will be returning

The tacos had a good taste. But skimp on the portions! Single tortilla y sin salsa or a limon.

Portions were very small, the whole table thought the food was bland and overpriced. We ordered papa asadas on the side with meat as an extra charge and the portions were tiny! The mini tacos themselves weren't even double tortilla, just single. The tortas looked big, but lacked in flavor. We thought the al pastor would be cooked with the pineapple, but it wasn't. It was just thrown on top. I really wanted to like this place so I was disappointed. The only tasting things they had were their salsas and drinks which were self service.
