A quick to go order for dinner consisting of a Stone Oak Roll, some gyoza, and a chicken yakimeshi.The Japanese rice (yakimeshi) with chicken was solidly made and tasted well beyond what I expected. Not greasy, quite flavorful, properly seasoned. Loved it and the portion was big enough for me to have leftovers.Next up the gyoza. Well prepared and well seasoned. Not too much nor too little.Finally the Stone Oak roll and I will be honest, I don't each sushi but my spouse seemed to enjoy it. She left nothing on her plate.I then asked, we've lived here for seven years now why haven't we eaten here more often? And I think it's because I didn't know that they had non-sushi foods.Now that I know- we will be back!

Yesterday, we decided to stay close to home and had dinner at Sushi Express. My husband and I used visit pre-pandemic more frequently. Since then, we have ordered and usually bring the food home. With my Yelp check-in, I got a free miso soup for Dad to enjoy. We all had the pork pocket/gua bao and Dad loved it. Blue was our server and was great about bringing refills of the ban chan (small dishes like kimchi, bean sprouts and others). I realized I missed having the refills! We all shared the Hamachi Kama (yellowtail collar), Japchae, Haemul Pajeon (pancake with scallion and various seafood) and Galbi Tang. The bonus was my Hite beer!I do love Korean food and thankful Sushi Express is a short drive away. If you're in Stone Oak, check them out. They also have Sushi and other Japanese food.We almost forgot to take Dad's photo. As you can see, some food have already been eaten!

We decided to go here at the last min to get some korean food. Wasn't too busy on a saturday afternoon so the service was quick.The kimbap (5/5) was great! The roll is big, perfectly seasoned and subtly flavoredNice way to start the meal.The LA galbi (5/5) was amazing from the presentation the char to the flavor itself. Couldn't get enough of it with the white rice!The kimchi jiggae was a flop because the flavors were off. However our server was nice enough to take it off our ticket!The japchae w/o beef (4.5/5) was also really flavorful albeit slightly sweet.Mom had the Miami fresh roll which I couldn't comprehend nor brave enough to try but I'll take her word that it was good.Ended with the mochi ice cream (4/5) which is basically an ice cream wrapped with a chewy mochi covering. Loved that it wasn't too sweet!Overall it's a great place to grab a casual meal. The pork pocket/ bao was really good. The pork was cooked well, the sauce was good, and the cucumber paired well with it. The lunch roll combination 3 was good. I really liked the Stone Oak roll.I've never tried tteok-bokki, I didn't really like it but I won't hold that against them because I have never had something like that.

Stick with sushi. I usually get the lunch sushi special but this time I thought I would try something different and got the summer rolls. I opened it up and it wasn't even rolled or it busted and they just left it like that. I'm kind of glad it was though because then I saw the shrimp and saw that it wasn't fully cleaned
