Pros: decent prices, convenient downtown location Cons: service, cleanliness There were two servers for the dining area and they seemed overwhelmed at 75% capacity. By the time we were seated and getting our orders, the restaurant was at 50% capacity. When being seated, the chair had oil/grease smears on the seat and several food crumbs. The water cups smelled like dirty dish water. When taking our order, we asked specifically about the signature rolls and which ones were spicy. She mentioned she had no idea and was not much help afterwards aside from providing her favorite rolls. We ordered a spicy yellowtail and Venetian roll, however, we only received a tempura roll. We ate one piece and realized it was neither roll we ordered. The server took the roll after notifying her then returned it and said it was on the house which was courteous. Our server was fairly kind, but seemed mentally occupied or overwhelmed which resulted in subpar service. Overall, well priced, but fairly disappointing given its downtown location, overrated ratings, and nearby competitor restaurants like Toro, Cuishe and Magpie.

This was our first time here, and we will be back. Food was delicious, service was great. Nice atmosphere, and fairly priced.Probably the best ramen we've had in SA. Flavors were savory and bold. I was stuffed, I couldn't finish mine lol. I had the Shoyu good time, and my husband had the Suck It OG. Both broths were different, but still savory and delicious. The pork belly - so tender and just a bit of crust on it. I liked how big their ramen spoons were, it was actually kinda helpful when eating lol. They have flavor bombs you can add to your ramen. Not needed, but definitely fun to try. I got the sour, and it may not be everyone's forte, but I like a lemony, zigging flavor. Husband got the hot. The waitress warned us that it is HOT, so proceed with caution. She wasn't kidding. Usually he eats anything hot no problem. He put his chop stick in it to try first and it made him cough lol. But once it's in the ramen it gets diluted and is definitely more flavorful than hot.The ONLY thing I would change is the first whiskey drink on the new menu. I forget its name, but it contained topo chico. It tasted like I was drinking seltzer water and whiskey, but like 60% water and 40% whiskey. I thought I'd at least get the lime or grapefruit topo chico. It was tough to finish, especially for the price. But their dragon ice tea one, which is very similar and contain lemon or yuzu in it was yummy. Idk if mine got made wrong, but I would not get that again. Their other drinks looked really tasty. Maybe just steer clear of that one lol.

My husband and I had just left a concert and we're looking for a place to eat when a bouncer told us to go across the street and try the Ramen, he deserves an award! The ambience is super cute, lots of Japanese decor. Our server had the patience of a saint, my husband has some dietary needs and asked 1 million questions and our server was so patient and maintained a smile the whole time. I think his name was Adriene, black long hair pulled back in a ponytail, he was awesome! The potstickers were delicious, chicken, and shiitake is such a great combo. My Ramen was delicious, the chicken was fried to perfection, and super juicy and tender. I added the sour bomb to my Ramen, which gave it this fabulous tangy and spicy flavor that really elevated The meal. Definitely the place to go for Ramen went downtown, I wish it was closer so I could get more of those potstickers! Absolutely recommend.

Excellent service, reasonably priced, super clean, nice & quiet environment. We ordered dumplings, edemame with a side of a spicy bomb, and four sushi rolls of different varieties-- all very delicious and filling! The spicy bomb was definitely my favorite-- can't remember what it's called but it definitely met my spice threshold and had tons of flavor at the same time. Will definitely be back!

Really wanted to give this place 5 out of 5 but dang it I couldn't sadly. I'll start off with the bad.The broth is far to lukewarm. Cmon man it was nearly room temperature. Also the mushrooms.. are baby portabella mushrooms. What kinda of ramen shop doesn't use shiitake? That was pretty odd.Besides that. Place is really nice and cozy for sure. The service was good but they were busy I could tell. The ramen. The 36 hour brother was absolutely stunning. Very reminiscent of ramen I had in japan many times. I was extremely impressed the broth had depth and many flavors. The chashu was up there being some of the best chashu I have EVER had. Take a visit y'all!

Driving home late evening after work and wanted to find an authentic Asian restaurant on the way through San Antonio and found this place. Was thinking it was related to Suck It The Restauant and it is! They are open til 0200 and parking is on the street but can easily find spots near midnight. They are currently soft open but will have their grand opening in 3 weeks! The restaurant itself is on E Commerce St and before N Hoefgen Ave and the railroad crossing if you're coming from the west side.Tried the Ramen OG and the black dragon tea. I normally don't eat pork but this ramen is really out of this world. The broth was cooked and prepared for 24 hours by the owner just as it should be. The meat is soft and the flavor almost melts in your mouth; combined with delicious corn, onions and the soup, it is not only filling but also satisfying every one of your taste buds. I've had a lot of ramen before and this is definitely one of the most authentic and well prepared. The staff is amazing with great customer service. Jenny, one of the senior members of the team actually came from the original branch to help open. She is definitely one of the best. Not only did she give good menu suggestions but she also was friendly, attentive and helpful. The owner Vinh, was also very welcoming and has a wealth of knowledge about Japanese sushi, sashimi and nigiri.Because of Jenny and the great Japanese ramen, will definitely come back to try more of their fishes & drinks. Keep up the good work Jenny, Vinh and Suck It Mixology!

It was very good and great service! The prices were not outrageous either. We shared the ramen and we both left full.
