Stop N Go Gyros

Gyros! OMG! This place is so delicious- they just opened in the Medical Center. They certainly have their gyros, but their menu is so much more than that! They offer everything freshly made with the freshest ingredients. Normally, when you get falafel in Texas, it's a warmed over frozen concoction. Not at Stop N Go Gyros! Theirs is made fresh on the spot, served with in house made pickled garnishes. In my opinion, the toum sauce stole the show. It's typically served with a chicken dish, but I love it with french fries- and theirs didn't disappoint. It was whipped garlic with a consistency of clouds. It's so garlicy that it's almost spicy, but without any heat. Whew! Fantastic! The salad had the freshest ingredients, with generous toppings. The service was welcoming, friendly, and gracious. The food came out quickly and served in a clean environment. The owners were present, and you could tell that they take pride in the place. It's their second location. Prices were quite reasonable, especially considering that nothing has been frozen, imported, canned or whatever- everything was made in house and fresh. Everything was so delicious- I know I'll be back! The restaurant was clean, and well lit. Parking is easy- it's located right next to the Dunkin across the street from Med Center.

I love me a good gyro (sandwich)! This place just opened recently at the time of this review. I put in an online order while I was probably farther away than I should've been. When I arrived, my order was ready and I was greeted friendily by the guys there. They said that because they're new, they threw in a free baklava. I ordered and received "Greek fries" as a side which were crinkle fries with a good amount of seasoning with feta and I'm guessing tzatziki on it. Very good and well-portioned. The sandwich itself had a respectable amount of gyro on it, but not so much that I could take off a few strips like at some other gyro places I've been to. The website has coke products listed, but inside the store it's all Pepsi which I'm happy about, but I'm sure the Coke-heads out there might be disappointed by. And the baklava was as good as any other that I've had...decent size to it.

Saw a review for this place on Facebook and saw it was really close to where I live. Stopped by to pick up dinner. I got the chicken plate, gyro plate, and an extra side of gyro. Staff were very friendly. The food was so great. Everything was fresh and flavored so well. This could turn into one of my go to spots to eat.

The food was absolutely FRESH! The Greek fries were DELICIOUS! The service was TOPTIER! And the dolmas were ON POINT! I'm glad we finally have a quick grab and go gyro spot that is both filling and delicious! 10/10

Wow! Best gyro I've had in San Antonio. The meat is f'n delicious; so tender and flavorful. The pita is excellent. Lots of tzatziki sauce(which is delicious too). I'll back soon.Great, friendly staff. Only little issue I had was the way they wrapped it in foil to serve; a lot of the tzatziki sauce was on the foil.

I ordered the gyro bowl to-go fromGrubhub. The meat was delicious and fresh, salad as well. The hummus was packaged separately which I appreciated. The only thing that I didn't care for was the rice, it had no flavor.

So happy this place has opened in the med center. The food has been consistently fresh, flavorful, and the portion sizes are decent. I enjoy tzatziki, but their garlic sauce here is incredible!
