Spring Chinese Cuisine & Pho

I usually make my own Bun Bo Hue at home because I got tired of continuously being disappointed trying different places in SA for a good and decent bowl. Being 38 weeks pregnant makes it kinda hard to make this at home since this soup can be labor intensive when made correctly. My husband was coming back from lifetime and the pregnancy cravings hit so I decided to try this place after seeing other viet people recommend it on a Vietnamese people group. We did takeout for Bun Bo Hue. I'd say I'm not too disappointed. I hesitated for years bc I was afraid I'd be disappointed like most places in SA catered to the American palate. The BBH broth was flavorful, but a little salty. With that being said, I did add in the shrimp paste and drank the soup. If you didn't drink too much soup or add in the shrimp paste, I think it would be fine. I'm glad it wasn't bland or watered down like most places in SA. You can tell they don't skimp on the seasonings and flavors. Lots of lemongrass was used. It's not your traditional bowl as some meats were missing, but they at least used flank meat and cha meat instead of eye round steak! I will say it's a bit expensive, but your bowl is loaded with meat, veggies, AND noodles. Overall, I'd keep coming here for their BBH and possibly give their other dishes a chance as well.

The food is amazing. Had a vermicelli bowl with shrimp, pork and chicken. Great portion and so fresh. The owner (our waitress) was so kind and provided great service. It was quite the find for a Valentine's meal when all the other places in SA had waits and standing room only. Definitely be back here!

Stopped by out of the blue,we ordered spring roll and pho. Both were delicious-generous servings for both. I would definitely come back to try other items on menu. The place is clean.

"Spring" is very conveniently close to home so we decided to give it a try. It is an Asian fusion restaurant with a variety of options that range from Chinese to Vietnamese food. We ordered Vietnamese spring rolls to start and for our main entree my husband and I ordered pho. I ordered the small brisket pho and it was delicious. It was also a perfect and filling portion. Our server was excellent! Very prompt and attentive. Definitely will be returning to try something new on the menu! Very cozy ambiance and plenty of seating (indoor seating only). Side note:, egg rolls are extremely hot! I burned my tongue badly! Be careful and wait a bit before eating.

Came here on a while honestly & have always said "Maybe one day I will try it" and I finally did. I'm surprised they have been in this location as long as they have, but they are quick and the food is delicious. I see why this place has rightly stayed!Came in for an early dinner & while parking was not the best in this little center, it wasn't too bad.The food was so good, everything was hot and fresh. I can say this place is a must try! While it is small, they make some great food here.

Food good. Service good at first but slow to follow up if need drink refill, to-go containers or anything else. I noticed table across was also needing follow up service.I think the waitress was maybe a bit shy or for sure lack of training. Ambiance just ok.

Kind of sad: the orange chicken here is good, but I got the Mongolian Chicken and it's alright but maybe for what Mongolian chicken is, but I paid extra for lo mein, and came far specifically for that, but got fried rice, and it's not comparable. Also what are the little black specs in the rice?

Not only was the food amazing, the staff is so kind. We changed our order THREE TIMES, and they were so patient with us. The owner also truly cares about customers enjoying her food. She asked how everything went and tasted. This is also one of the best spots in San Antonio for Bo Luc Lac (shaken beef) and Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef noodle). It's a must try for Asian and viet food!!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. One of my go to spots for some great pho. Staff is always attentive and friendly! Cute dining area, simple.
