Smoke Texas Riverwalk

Stopped in on a whim here. Ok, we planned somewhere else, but that place was closed, so we ended up here because we felt we had to try some Texas BBQ while in Texas, right?As the review stars indicate, it was okay. It was a little windy and chilly out (hey, it happens in San Antonio), so we went inside. It felt like we were in someone's house. That was a little odd, but still fine.Because we were inside, our server had to run up and down the stairs a lot. He did without a problem and he provided nice service. It was also very, very fast service. It turns out that's because everything looks kind of pre-made.It wasn't bad, it just felt like one other person with me who said, "It seems like something you'd get off a food truck." Well, there's some pretty good food trucks out there! The brisket was good, tender, and flavorful. The pintos had a nice BBQ flavor, too. One meat and two sides was plenty to fill me up.If you want a place to get in, fill up, and get out, this might be the place for you.

Good service; great location overlooking the River walk; nice local shops at La Villita. We ordered a light lunch offering of bbq baked potato, brisket nacho, and cornbread all delicious. Music was a bit much early afternoon on the outdoor seating. Night; I could understand; but a nice quiet break to enjoy your lunch midday would've suited us better.

Bbq was very poorly done. Not a lot of flavor or seasoning. Serving size was quite small for the price. You are better off going to Rudy's or similar. Margaritas tasted cheap and artificial, I've had better from the drive thru places. Service was poor, our server never checked on us after dropping off the food, we had to flag her down to get the check. This is not a good representation of Texas bbq or margaritas.

Was in San Antonio for work and wanted to try some Texas bbq while in town. Place is nice overlooking the Riverwalk and the server was very attentive and constantly checked up on us Great happy hour prices for beer and select shots (bartender's choice) That day it was $5 green teas. Food was just ok. We got the family platter that feeds 4 and the brisket nachos. The nachos looked better in the picture. It had a Cheezwiz taste/color/just and Cheezwiz consistency with some chopped brisket to top it off. The mac and cheese we barely touched. Nice place to sit and people watch .

Came here only for drinks. They had a live musician playing. It was an alright place to start out and people watch along the river walk.

This Smoke location is right along the River Walk, so while enjoying the great outdoor atmosphere with our food and drinks, we also got to watch and wave as the boats filled with tourists came by. We weren't very hungry, so we got the brisket nachos and two margaritas on the rocks. The nachos were very tasty and the margaritas were also very good. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and very accommodating. The day we went was a gorgeous day, so the outdoor seating was popular but not overly crowded. It was a great place to hang out along the Riverwalk.

Came on a Friday night and there was a nice vibe -- live music, table with a river view, and plenty of opportunities to people watch. Ordered a pound of brisket and it was surprisingly tasty. If you're looking for a fun spot to sit down and rest on the Riverwalk, this checks all the boxes.

Cool spot overlooking the riverwalk. Ate outside, really spacious, low key, no thrills just straight up bbq. Quick service, helpful waitstaff. Got the corn bread, potato salad, turkey sandwich - good stuff!

We had an excellent group event here at their large room upstairs. The service was great - friendly, welcoming and proud of their food!The brisket and chicken were both delicious, as was the mac and cheese. They had an extended happy hour when we were there, so it made a fun night on the patio, too, after dinner!

Great location, but very disappointing food! Bland, out of many items and poor service! Worst experience on the Riverwalk!
