Scuzzi's Italian Restaurant

This food was amazing! I had the chicken lasagna - and it was so so good. The sauce on it was delicious. My husband had the shrimp scuzzi and it was incredible.But honestly- what stood out the most was the service at the bar. We went on Valentine's Day - sat at the bar. We didn't have a resvervation- but were able to sit at the bar and have an early dinner.The bartenders were slammed- and through out the evening they still managed to give service with a smile. Shout out to Louis & Alex-( I hope it I'm remembering their names right.)Can't wait to go back!

I'm so inspired by the exceptional service and culinary expertise at this restaurant! Having lived and worked nearby for years, I finally had the pleasure of trying it out with my department's Galentine's Lunch. From the initial reservation booking to the reminder email and confirmation call, the customer service was top-notch. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and treated to an elegant ambiance that exuded refinement. Our attentive server ensured we had everything we needed. I was blown away by the flavors, presentation, & generous portion of the sausage cacciatore. Excellent choice on my part. The rest of my lunch party was also pleasantly satisfied with their choices.

This restaurant is a San Antonio classic, traditional Italian dishes with Mazi's magic touch.I love to sit at the bar, with their high tables, cozy and perfect for a good talk. But they have regular tables and a good size patio for the fall days.Today I tried an Espresso Martini , one of the bests I have tried. I also tried for the first time here their fried oysters appetizer, with a creamy sauce, spiny, mushrooms and pancetta, so yummy.Then I tried their cucumber martini so fresh! It was just perfect.We added the beef carpaccio, the shrimp appetizer and the fried calamari; I must say that out of the tree, the calamari was my least favorite, not because it was bad, but because the other two were delicious.Definitely come and see Mazi and try everything in the menu, you won't be disappointed.

I wanted to impress my gf while in town and figured this was a good place to bring her to. We had never been since we're visiting from California, but it has great reviews. As we walked in we were greeted by the very friendly staff. The manager came by to check on us several times. Our server was very cordial and prompt. The environment, food and drinks were scrumptious. We will  be back next time that we are in town.

Perfect experience from reservations, walking in, prompt seating, super friendly and professional staff. Food was perfectly prepared - portion sizes were good and seasoned just right. Definitely going back very soon. Great job guys!!

Food is amazing!!! and even is it was not, I would return over and over again just for the type of Service you receive here.From the moment you step through the doors expect to be be well taken care of through out your visit.Knowledgeable menu suggestions, Personalized Table service. Absolutely Loved Scuzzi's!I had such a great time at Scuzzi's! From the moment we walked in, the cozy vibe and super friendly staff made us feel right at home.We started with the bruschetta, and wow--it was so fresh and flavorful. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan, and it was honestly one of the best I've ever had. My friend got the Seafood Alfredo, and the amount of fresh seafood they packed in there was awesome!Our server was fantastic--really attentive and gave us great recommendations. We also hit up their happy hour, which was a nice bonus.Whether you're planning a date night or just grabbing lunch with friends, Scuzzi's is a solid choice. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Reservation for Valentines Day at 5 pm. Arrived on time and was seated but no one came to our table to bring water, a menu or provide any sort of acknowledgement we were there. We waited over 15 mins and walked out and went next door to Freetail where we were sat and offered service immediately,

Came here for Valentines even with a reservation we had to wait a bit however it's Valentines Day thats to be expected. Ordered the calamari appetizer which is by far one of the best in town. It's strips instead of rings. It was very tender. The fettuccine primavera was cooked just right. The SCUZZI shrimp was succulent. Both the tiramisu and the limoncello cake were Leo very delicious. Staff was friendly, the food was delivered timely and fresh. Been wanting to try this out for a while and glad I was able to finally enjoy. Wish they had some mocktail options such as St. Agrestis Phony Negroni.

What can I say that has not already been said. Well I am Sicilian that moved from Southern California to Texas. I have been looking for really good Italian food. I have driven by it a few times and decided to yesterday stop by and have lunch first. The Minestrone soup was amazing and the Scuzzi Shrimp with angel hair pasta was wow. The Shrimp was Texas jumbo shrimp very good. The home made bread was amazing as well. The staff is great. Mazi the owner has brought Italy to Texas in a great way. Later that day I brought my Wife and a neighbor friend for Dinner. They out did themselves once again. My lamb chops was cooked to perfection the bed of mashed potatoes was a meal by it self. My wife had Chicken Marsala and it was really good. Our friend had the Scallops and she said it was the best Scallops she has ever had. We did start with the Cheese and meat board and that was epic. The Ambiance is friendly and feels welcoming. The staff friendly and waiting to make sure your experience is epic. I would recommend Scuzzi's to anyone that is looking for a really good Italian dinner. They will see me again.Ross
