Online order, easy to navigate and place order.Picked up order at time suggested. Restaurant was lively with Valentine patrons enjoying themselves. Arrived home with our meal, 100% accurate. Appeared we were given a cpl of extra garlic rolls for appreciation. Thank you!Ok folks, the food was absolutely delicious! Even after a 15 min ride home. My wife said, "we're eating there very soon". Oh, I forgot... they sent me on my way with 2 roses. What a beautiful gesture! Go to this place, you'll thank me later. Bravo guys!

Oh my goodness yummm! A small group of us went today for lunch and everything was great! Alex, our server, was very attentive and so nice and the food was over the top delicious. It's a cute little place that is warm and inviting. They brought us hot garlic knots with an oil dip when we sat down and wow! So good! We had a variety of pasta dishes and pizza and everyone enjoyed their food. Definitely try this place out!

My wife and I have a running gag about how we can't find a go-to Italian restaurant. This dates back over 10.years when we lived in California. I don't know exactly why, but we've found what I would consider to be serviceable places, just not one that we talk about a lot, recommend to others, etc. That streak, at long last, may be over.Scisciano Italia came recommended to us, and on a rare night out, we decided to give it a go. It's in an unassuming strip mall we've been to many times. Either this place is new enough that we haven't seen it, or our eyes slipped right past it. Either way, until the recommendation, we had no idea this place existed. Upon entering, we both remarked at the nice decor. Not too much, not too little, just the right amount for a friendly place for a night out.We were seated promptly, and started browsing the menus. The menus felt Cheesecake Factory-esque in their size and depth. Thankfully, our waitress was willing and able to point us in a few directions. She (thankfully) bypassed my least favorite waiter/waitresses trope ("Everything here is great!") and asked a couple of questions about my sauce preference and what type of dish I wanted, and pointed me in the direction of their namesake dish: chicken Scisciano. My wife went for the tortellini Michelangelo. We also went with some burrata to start. Our meals came with soup or salad. My salad was simple, but with very fresh, crispy vegetables and a thick, flavorful dressing. Not a bad start!I'm a pretty big eater, but I knew we were in trouble when the burrata arrived. It was a monstrous portion. Cheese, cured meats, olives, balsamic vinegar and tomatoes basically took over a large serving platter. The main courses were equally titanic. Delicious, across the board. The tortellini was eye-rollingly tasty and the chicken Scisciano popped with flavor. The sauce was buttery, lemony and pleasantly salty. My only regret was that I didn't get to try more from the menu yet! I came away impressed and ready to try more... on another day, at least. I was stuffed and had to take home about half my meal. Didn't have a shot at dessert either, sadly.Beyond the food, let's talk about the staff, briefly. I only really worked with my waitress, but she was among the best I've had assist me at a restaurant in years. It feels like they have a great team at work here. Very knowledgeable, engaging and friendly. My only gripe, and this isn't an issue in my end, but I want this place sticking around for a long time, is the size of the menu. I have to imagine it's tough to stock all of the fresh ingredients for a menu of this scale. I have to imagine it takes additional money and causes potential food waste. I suppose I could be wrong, but a slimmed down menu focusing on their go-tos could potentially make this place more profitable over the long run. And that's fine by me! As I said, this is a place that I want to have stick around. In a food landscape seemingly dominated but chain restaurants and fast food, give Scisciano Italia a chance. It's well worth the time and your stomach will thank you.

Over the weekend, I was looking at Yelp's Hot New Businesses, saw Scisciano Italia, and wanted to try it. We decided to check it out tonight. They've got a good crowd going for a Monday night, so the word is out. They've only been open 2 months so quickly check them out!Dad had Lemonade, and Hubby and I had their complimentary Chardonnay (Chateau Ste. Michelle). I'm presuming they don't have their liquor license yet. The complimentary Garlic Knots were served hot and fresh. The dip was very tasty with lots of minced garlic. You may want to skip if you don't like garlic. We shared the Tre Fried Calamari, Ravioli, and Cheese Sticks. Ginormous portions, actually all the dishes were very generous! The calamari is one of the best in town. Dad and Hubby had Chicken Vegetable Soup. I had House Salad with the Pasta Sampler (lasagna, manicotti, cannelloni), which I shared with Dad. Hubby had the Veal Marsala. I had a bite of the veal and it was so tender. Hubby ate it all! I read that the Tiramisu was good so we tried it. It was so light it felt like I wasn't eating any calories. Yum!!!About the business...Dusti Melucci is the owner and her Grandma is from Sciscianno, a comune in the Metropolitan City of Naples, Italy. The recipes are from Grandma. True Italian roots! The current menu is extensive but they'll be tweaking as they see what people like and enjoy. For now, they have a Facebook page but will soon be adding Instagram to their social media mix.

This is place is tucked away inside a strip center which makes finding it to be a bit of a challenge and a bit of a pain to get to since a median is in the middle of Nacogdoches. I went inside and was seated by a hostess that could've been a little more friendlier. I was waiting for a server for quite a bit longer than I had expected and it wasn't very busy for a Saturday night. A waiter finally arrived but didn't apologize for the delay but was pretty cool and he took my order for a small salad and a baked ziti. The salad was good and the dressing was served on the side like I had requested. The garlic knot was good but I was hoping they'd be a little more generous by giving me more than one. The citizens had arrived and was fresh and steaming hot. I ordered cannoli for dessert which was also good and didn't have any chocolate sauce nor chocolate chips. To sum it up, Pazzo is a little bit better but Scisciano is far superior to Pompeii up the street and I'd return sometime in the future. Hopefully the experience will be a little better next time.

New place for us. A couples dinner. Once we sat down, they brought out some warm garlic knot breads, and oil. Yes, they just stole my heart. The knots are a good size. Service was quick, but our waiter had a soft voice, it was hard to hear him. The place wasn't loud. Other than that, our waiter was superb. Very polite, and very attentive to our table. They had tables and booths to sit in. Place was clean. Decor is very cool. Kinda romantic. They have a flower and a tealight candle on the tables. Maria had the lasagna, came out very hot of the oven. The portion was good, and the flavor is good. I had the pasta sample, also a good portion. It came with lasagna, cannoli, and manicotti. Also hot out of the oven, and very delicious. No beer, but they have wine. Also the tea is fresh and delicious. They have an espresso machine, but I stay away from espresso. Next time I will get a hot tea. Bathrooms are clean and clean. All in all, we will be back. The menu is very interesting.
