Sauce's Southern Kitchen Food Truck & Catering

Soooo, previously I rated this place a solid 4 stars because the food was really great. This time it was honestly a waste of my money. This would be my4th time dining with them but 1st time at the new location. Service was really good, no complaints there. But mannnn was the fish tuff and rubbery, it lacked seasoning, the breading was bad and I'm not even sure it was catfish. I love to support smaller businesses, but if it's going to taste that way I could have been satisfied at Longhorn. $25 is a good amount of money to just waste on a food that's not hitting on anything. Idk if it's new cooks or what but definitely not worth it anymore.

Came to this food truck park and tried Sauce's. Ordered the red beans and rice and boudin link. The service was super friendly and fast. I loved the deep toasted roux flavor from the red beans and rice gravy/sauce /gumbo that coated the rice and sausage and boudin was very tasty also.

I haven't seen the food truck in ages but I do know you can order food off their website . Their food was always amazing. If you see their food truck I highly recommend giving them a try . Love their fried chicken.

No frills, hits the spot, and attention to details show Catfish poboy was excellent. Seasoning was on point and choice of roll/bread was top notch. It was soft but we'll structured with a little chew to showcase the crispy fish. Pickles and letter to make to come back for more.Gumbo shrimp was cooked perfectly, and had a scoop of arborio rice slightly on the dry side to soak up the gumbo; Al dente

Scrumptious is the word I'd use to describe Sauce's Southern Shrimp Po' Boy! The shrimp were fresh & crispy. Pickles crunchy & the sauce was so flavorful that I dipped my fries in it! The fries... I'm not a big "French fry" lover but these fries were perfect! (The Po Boy comes w lettuce also but I can't eat lettuce due to gastroparesis. Otherwise, I'd have gotten the Po Boy the way it comes bc the chef knows best!) Back to the fries, the seasoning sprinkled all over the fries was sooo good! Keyon actually sells his special seasoning for only $5 & it is fantastic. Skip store bought seasonings & support a small fantastic local business. My first time ever eating from Sauces Southern Food truck was Friday night at Streetfare SA off Austin Hwy. Jessica & Keyon were so kind and the food was so amazing that I hadddd to leave a review to let other people know how great the food is. Lastly, as I walked away after placing my order I heard someone say they were there to pick up a big order for an Uber eats customer. I thought... Wow! Someone must really love this food to place an Uber eats order for it...... After eating, it made complete sense!!!! I highly recommend this amazing food truck!

Wow SA...you really need to show some love for these guys. NAILED the catfish. As my man said "it's that good fried" meaning they didn't use any old oil and nothing was soggy. The catfish was crispy on the outside and super juicy, tender, and flakey on the inside. So much flavor packed in every bite. You also get a lot of bang for your buck! Huge pieces of catfish for a fair price!They're located inside Streetfare SA - be sure to check them out!

GREAT SERVICE!!!!large portions of excellently prepared dishes. Some of the best food I have ever had. Great place to get outside and have some face to face time with friends and or family. Amazingly clean everywhere we looked. Large tables, with games about area and lots of shade. Just an awesome experience!!!

I door dashed my order. I got red beans and rice and fried wings . The good: the red beans and rice were delicious and also the wings. And now the bad. The gumbo left something to be desired. The roux tasted burnt which in turn made the gumbo taste and smell burnt. If they ease up on cooking the roux I'm sure the gumbo could be better. This is the 2nd time I've tried the gumbo and it was the same thing as the last time. So I wouldn't order the gumbo again. But I will definitely order from them again.

We had the opportunity to go out to the food truck park this weekend and ordered from Sauce's Southern Kitchen. We had Fish, Shrimp, and jambalaya. Everything was delicious! The fish was fried just right with a little crunch. The jambalaya was seasoned to perfection! Will go back!

Sauces is a food truck, but service is good and the staff is very friendly. The food is also very good.
