San taco

The food was delicious and loved the lemonade. Enjoyed the soft texture of the concha.

I don't like leaving negative reviews and I have tried to avoid doing so with SAN TACO because I've had some fantastic experiences here before. However, 9-14-2024's visit was disappointing. Our waitress, took our order--a couple of cafe de olla, an orange juice, and a chocolate milk. After waiting for 45 minutes, we hadn't received any food, chips, salsa, or even refills, and there was no check-in. It seemed like our waitress was avoiding eye contact. Meanwhile, other tables that arrived after us were already eating.I eventually went to the register to express my frustration and offered to just pay for the drinks, given we'd been waiting so long. The cashier was apologetic, explaining that they were overwhelmed due to new marketing bringing in a lot of customers. I understand and am glad for their success, which is why I brought it up to the management via Instagram DM trying to avoid a harsh review. You would think they would've offered a small gesture like a discount on our drinks or something given that my family's Saturday morning was wasted. Now today 10-26-2024, they let me down for the second time in a row. I brought people out of their way to try San Taco and sadly (today on a Saturday at 11:25ish) their hours said open, their signs said open, people were inside eating yet the doors were locked. Hate to say it but they lost a loyal customer today. Thankfully another Saturday morning did not go to waste...5mins away LA FONDA ON MAIN saved the day.!

I want to give this restaurant 5 stars because the food is so authentic and well seasoned. However, the service is lacking and also the price is a little high. We visited this restaurant on a Saturday morning and it was busy but not packed. We were seated right away and saw that everyone was eating delicious looking food. The guisados reminded me of my tias' cooking in Mexico. We did have to wait to get refills on our drinks and other than serving our food we didn't have anyone check on us to see if we needed anything. I loved the decor and the music playing. We payed over $70 for three plates (2 fideos with flautas and one cheese empanadas either a guisado) coffee and two aguas de Jamaica.

Este lugar tiene la mejor comida mexicana que he probado en mucho tiempo. Me sentí como si estuviera en México otra vez. ¡La comida es más que genial! Muy auténtico. El servicio fue muy bueno, la señora que nos atendió fue increíble! Sensación muy limpia y relajada. Recomiendo este lugar, ¡pruébalo!

Decent little taco spot. Atmosphere is a little lacking and restaurant had a bit of a bad odor. Food was decent but in my opinion the birra quesadillas lacked flavor without the added onions, lime, and cilantro.

Nice small Mexican restaurant near downtown. Arrived right at as they were opening up. Hostess was very attentive, answered several questions regarding menu since this was my first time eating there. Food had really good flavor. Ordered breakfast plate called Plato de gusto which came with eggs, potatoes, refried beans and a meat of choice. I chose Tinga de pollo, chicken in a red sauce that was slightly spicy, delicious. Plate could have been shared. Also got the cafe de olla, a dark roast coffee with a sweet flavor (piloncillo).

My kida brought me leftovers. Everything I tasted was great! I have never been there, but I plan to go there as soon as I fully recover from nearly a month in the hospital!

Omg! Run to San Taco! All of the Guisados were flavorful and yummy. We had Aguas frescas to start. The jimaca was like what you would get in Mexico! They're isn't tap water only bottled. The wait staff were SUPER helpful on picking what to order. And you can go to the counter to see all of the options. We ordered two plates of the 5 mini tacos of 5 different guisados each and weren't super full we we added a Sope and a Quesadilla with our favorites. The sope with the chicharron and the quesadilla with the bistek. The masa was fresh and Christy!

San Taco is one of my favorite spots in San Antonio! They have so many cazuelas/guiso options to choose from! My favorite is their Chicharron en salsa, on top of a sope or chilaquiles! I recommend you visit!

The food is always delicious... the service on the other hand has always kind of lacked. Either it was busy and the food took long or there was hardly anyone there and the food took just as long. The place is nice and albeit a bit hot in the warmer months but nothing an horchata can't fix!
