Sam's Burger Joint

Burgers were great! Half pound with great buns. We also tried the fries and fried pickles. No complaints. You order at the counter. Fun, casual environment. It wasn't busy on a Friday night, but did take a while for our food to come out. A tad pricey for burgers. I'd recommend the kiddie burger (1/4 pound let with fries) for more value if that's enough food for you.

Had a good experience at Sam's burger. The burgers were good. The service was great. The ambience was nice. Very cute location. The staff were very friendly. The food was a bit pricey considering it's served in black plastic baskets. We paid $51 for a patty melt, a burger, chips and queso, fries and small sweet teas.#teamChrispen

7/10 Got two cheddar burgers and the burgers are really good. I would say a 7/10 . I don't care for the pickles and the mustard so I probably wouldn't do that again. But that's just personal preference.The fries are really good .The fried pickles are in spears , the batter is really good, but I probably wouldn't get them again.The sweet tea is good and the soda drinks are good too .Overall, I still would give this 7/10

Came here during lunch with coworkers. Not my choice but I was pleasantly surprised by my order. No the Jamaican Jerk Samwich wasn't authentic jerk, at least the jerk I've had. It was just a very flavorful, well done and seasoned piece of chicken. The tots were just normal tots, not great but not bad. We did order nachos. These were also just ok. The place is pretty cool, and had a great time looking all over the walls and ceiling. My rating is mostly for just my order, as I can't pick off my coworkers plates like I do with family. Next I will bring them and try other items.

I placed a to-go order, and it was ready quickly. The burgers are flavorful, but a bit on the pricey side, and they don't include sides, so you have to purchase those separately.

Nice big burgers that don't skimp on the toppings or the taste.An unintended trip led me back to Sam's Burger Joint after a long hiatus. It was a good experience, as much as it was in the past. I love their bean burger, but this time I went with the guacamole Jack Burger. It came loaded with lots of guac' and a huge piece of cheese that pretty much wrapped the burger. I always love their sweet potato fries, but they also have tater tots, regular fries, and fried pickles. Next time I will re-investigate their fried pickles.I got street parking for a quarter (yep, 25¢) for the hour.They have a small bar, but I was in uniform and decided to quench my thirst in bottomless Texas sweet tea, that I transitioned to an Arni Palmer on our way out. If I had the opportunity, I would certainly return to hang out for the live music entertainment that Sam's is known for.I'm glad I got a chance to revisit Sam's. It's a good place for fun and a good burger.

Not at all regarding the food...which is good!I mean let's be honest...it's a burger...but a good one.This is an historic music venue!Go there in any given night, and very possibly see a band who one day will be on the national stage!!This is an iconic venue, great place, staff, seating, drinks!This is what the Armadillo World Headquarters once was in Austin!See for yourself!

Unique place. Been around for a long time. Live music on weekends. Friendly atmosphere & just a fun place. Near the Pearl. Burgers are great!
