Rosita's is a run away hit. We eat there 2 to 3 times a week and the food is constantly fabulous. Try anything on their HUGE menu and you will love it . Rosita's has become a staple in our family. You will not be disappointed and everyone working there is so nice ... you will enjoy the experience. Great food, great prices, and great staff!! The restaurant is very, very clean as is the silverware, the restrooms ... everything!

Rudely Refused Service to family with disabled veteran and service dog.Would not accept licensed Dog Credentials or allow seating and stated "may refuse service...", repeated attempts to educate about ADA violation to Disabled family member were not accepted! They DO NOT deserve and will NO LONGER receive my family's business and DO NOT deserve yours either!

Excellent for for a hidden little gem. Cute quaint place to enjoy a great relaxing breakfast or lunch in San Antonio. Servers were great and very attentive. The gorditas and tacos smoked pork chops and brisket and egg plates were the best we had in years. This is a must stop place to eat if you're in the San Antonio area.will be stopping by again!

We were introduced to Rosita's from prepared local meals at H‑E‑B. So it was a treat to visit a restaurant where we could again enjoy excellently delicious charro beans, brisket tacos (puffy!), and street tacos. The fresh-made tortillas were also fantastic! And those chips! A little fluffy in places and so tasty! Those were magic, especially with the salsa roja. Apparently they have issues with people bringing in outside beverages, so I left my water bottle in the car, no problem. Their cups for drinks were a whopping 32 ounces -- I drank on my take-away water from there for half the afternoon. The wait service was super friendly and the booths comfy. We will be back!

Yesterday was my first visit to Rosita's. I wasn't sure what to order, and the manager suggested Brisket and Eggs plate. I love brisket, and I'm sort of a brisket snob. Food was served quickly. The big slice of brisket looked juicy and had perfect bark. It was fork tender and had a great smoke flavor. It just melted in my mouth! I hadn't expected such delicious brisket at a Mexican food restaurant! The corn tortillas were homemade and delicious! The manager said that his father is the pitmaster. Check this place out! Very affordable pricing, and a super clean restaurant.

This is my third time visiting Rosita's and each time the food was superb!Today I had huevos rancheros without the sauce that has jalapeños because I'm not into hot hot Chile stuff-just savory tasting food. The sauce was provided on the side for my taste buds to try and I did try it: good for those who like mucho heat: not me! I also ordered a barbacoa taco on homemade corn tortilla with tomato, cilantro, & onion. It was delicious in the old school way!!!My friend ordered the regular type taco: potato egg which disappeared before I asked how is it? The new school taco was brisket and avocado slices!! OMG! I asked if this was a quarter cow taco!!! It was deeelicious!I had coffee and Angelica our server never let my cup be empty; she was so attentive I wanted to tip her more than the recommended preprinted amount suggested on the bill so I DID!!!Rosita (in Barbie pink in photo) finished her coffee with her comadre and immediately attended to EVERYBODY in the place! She was "hands on"! She made sure to chat with anyone who wanted to chat at anytime. I'll definitely be a "regular", even if I do live out of town!(Be prepared: The parking situation could be better, but it is in a business strip mall.)

The owner of this place, Enrique (Henry) Martinez, is easily one of the most rotten people I have ever met and in my opinion should not be running a customer based business. I have genuinely never been more astonished and shocked at a business owners behavior. He needs to become a better man for his business and families sake. This is going to be a bit of a LONG one, but it will help you understand who it is that you are truly supporting when and if you decide to spend your money here.My wife and I have recently found out about Rositas, & have been coming rather frequently over the last few weeks because we live close, & the food is good for the price. But every time we come, there seems to be confusion among staff about their chip policy ($5 for chips if not in accordance with your order) which is understandable because they are homemade & delicious. The problem with this chip policy, is that the rules change every visit (per waitress), & they are not clear & concise across the board. The menu states that chips come with plate (singular plate & does not designate bkfst or lunch) order, the stickers plastered all over the restaurant say that chips come with plate(s)(plural) orders after 11am, but also does not designate bkfst or lunch plates. On todays visit, our waitress decided to change the chip policy on us at least 2-3 times while we were dining in. At first, they came with the bkfst plate, then 5 minutes later, the person who orders the plate has to ask for the chips, then a few minutes later they did not come with the breakfast plate AT ALL, and THEN when we tried to get clarity, they tried to tell us that our order was put in at 10:59 which it was but c'mon man? Regardless of the ever changing policies we, we were going to be charged. I became slightly irritated as anyone would being told they were going to be charged after they said they were not. I then asked the waitress if they could remove the chips off of the bill due to the miscommunication, in which she replied I can ask the owner. For us, it isn't even about the $5, its about the concept and taking accountability for the fact that your policy is messy & all over the place. We sat there for the next 10 minutes, with nobody approaching us, no explanation, and no type of apology for the misunderstanding. We figured the only way to get anyone's attention was by going up to the register & paying, which we did. While paying, I asked if the chips were removed, they were. I thanked the gentleman that charged us, and expressed my discontent with him, to which he attempted to defend their loose policy by stating that the menu said plate(s) plural which as of today it does not. While signing the bill, the owner came to clean off the table, finally approaching the situation he had previously avoided. While he was cleaning off the table I glanced over, and he pointed at the chip policy sticker on the booth and said "its right there for you to read." in a very aggressive, standoffish, degrading tone to both of us as if we were illiterate. As a family man & protector of my wife, I was not going to let that kind of behavior toward us slide.I approached Mr. Martinez, and said "I need to speak to you sir." The first thing I asked him was, "do you not think that your actions toward my family were degrading or insulting?" to which he replied "no its on the sign, just read and pay for what you order" I then tried to explain to him, that the policy is not clear enough for the customer to understand, that's why we got to this point, but he was having none of it. Mr. Martinez then went on to further insult us by stating that "its people like you that want free stuff that make it hard to have a business." at this point I was furious, I just got generalized into a category and narrative that was completely false when all I was hoping to get out of the man was some sort of accountability for his hideous actions. The waitress that helped us stepped in to calm the situation which she did. I explained to her that I was just trying to understand why a business owner would react that way & why he lacked any kind of accountability for mistakes that are his doing & responsibility. I was angry and astonished that he defended his behaviors & lack of accountability no matter what approach I took. He was very adamant & standoffish that we were the problem not him. He then fled to the kitchen & the staff agreed that the policies are unclear & that the owner should have reacted different. What kind of owner has their staff take accountability for his problems and actions? a sorry one.People need to know the type of man they are supporting. If I could give this place zero stars solely based off of ownership, I would. We will not be returning. Any retaliation, response, or defense they have to this review is just in effort to keep their business alive and in attempt to alter the reality of what happened today to deceive future customers.

The food is average for the price and the service is generally good. Beware of the extra charges you will/may incur because of wishy washy or unclear "policies." My husband and I asked if chips came with our meal and were initially told it did, so we allowed the chips and salsa to be served to us. Then, a few short minutes later, we were told that the chips and salsa were free with the purchase of a lunch plate, and we had ordered a breakfast plate... a few minutes later, we were told that we had ordered our food at 10:59am, and that chips and salsa were free after 11am with the purchase of a lunch plate. Confused and annoyed, my husband and I go to pay at the register and were then told the sign says "chips and salsa with the purchase of plateS after 11am," in other words, MORE than one plate. The owner himself condescendingly pointed at the "S" on the end of plates and said "it was right above your heads" and that we just needed to read. Appalled by the disrespectful behavior, my husband stayed behind to express his concerns about the situation, and the owner, unfortunately, was not interested in having a civilized conversation about any of it. He was not interested in apologizing or taking any degree of accountability. Instead, he insulted us by saying "it's because of you people who want free stuff that makes being a business owner hard." My husband went back and forth with this man, and ultimately all I can say is the owner is not interested in bettering his business, serving customers, or even just being a decent human being. We left the establishment just appalled by how the whole situation played out, and how someone could be so nasty towards others. We ultimately were not charged for the chips, however, we will not be returning to this establishment after seeing the true colors of the person behind the business. My husband and I aren't looking for any free rides, we just don't feel it's right to be tricked into paying an extra $5 for chips and salsa when the "policy" was very unclear. Menu says one thing, sign on the wall says another, server says something else... we felt as though we were misled, and the owner was not interested in taking any responsibility for the confusion. He insisted we were the problem.
