Rookies Too Bar & Grill

A very cool and funky bar that has my Spurs on when nobody else does. Very nearby to the Latin and country dance clubs that I lurk at. I got an excellent Black Russian, and watched the Spurs in another learning game.

Sarah and Vickie are my favorite bartendars in town. They will remember your drink and details on you even though they see a ton of people.The ambience here is chill with many regulars. They have the jukebox so you can play what your heart desires. They also have a whole shuffleboard room and take it very seriously.They have TVs and pool as well.Sarah is the only one who makes my carajillo the way I like. She lights that puppy on fire so it toasts and brings out the espresso and liquor 43 just right. I've also ordered an old fashioned here and really enjoyed it.I appreciate the relaxed vibe here and will stop by sometimes after work. I haven't seen any drama here and the people are very friendly.

Meet someone here for a drink, and I won't lie I was skeptical at first. But this place is amazing, and I will most definitely be returning!! I got a burger and it was probably one of the best burgers I have had in San Antonio!

First time and most definitely NOT my last time to this hidden gem. Sarah (bartender) was so helpful in helping me choose something toeat, which was the El Pancho. One of the best burgers I have had in a long time. If you are within 20/30 minutes of Rookies Too - make the drive!!!!

Very chill bar and place to relax and have a drink alone or with friends. Service is good never a long wait and not too clouded at all. Has a small outdoor area you can take your drinks out to. And they have food which is always a good thing. Get the wings!

I had their "Join the Club" Club and it was out of this world! Will definitely be returning!

This is a nice little locals bar of San Antonio. They drinks are cheap, plentiful, and over flowing. Clean environment and friendly staff. You can always come inside this bar and feel safe and strike up a conversation with anyone and find a commonality or enlightened conversation. They have a cozy outside area that nice to sit outside and enjoy a covered patio with those huge windmill fans. They do serve food there and the chicken wings are def winging in the best possible way. Meaty, well cooked and sauced with the perfect amount. Check this place out and leave a review. They have a healthy hand with serving you. So go there for drinks and have a great time but be safe about getting home.

I have visited this place four times now for lunch. The daytime bartender, Sarah, is delightful and fantastic at her job. We ate BLT sandwiches and fries. These are some of the best BLTs I've ever had, with thick, crispy bacon. Delicious!I can't speak to the bar experience, but the lunch is great!

Very biased review...older patrons are at this place. We were interested in the games and food. The shuffleboard tables are awesome(4 or 5 in a row) but we were scared away by older lady who yelled at us and we left straight away. From what I saw, there's not really a kitchen. One pool table and one dart game. Needs a makeover and some new friendly patrons.

This is a gem of a find! We came to watch a football game. I usually don't order wings but on advice from a regular I ordered them extra crispy with the hot and lemon pepper rub and they were perfect. Drinks are really well priced with a solid pour. Service is super friendly and great vibe in the bar.
