Rocky's Taco House

Absolutely horrible. Came through drive through to grab a few breakfast tacos a few days ago , they got my order wrong and no one was at the drive through 5 minutes later when I drove back so I went in and go it corrected then left. Today I got a notification that my total was updated for that transaction and a $5 tip was added I don't tip drive through . Especially for a $13 order. The young Hispanic girl in the drive through really added her own tip. And then I go back to the restaurant for the manger to say they will not refund that. They stole. They do not care that their employees steal from the customers. Do Not Go Here.

Order on DoorDash, the prices were decent but I was disappointed by the food. First off my tacos looked thrown together, horrible presentation and the meat was cold. I ate 2 of them and threw the rest away. The salsa was good but that was about it. The brisket taco was decent but it has 1 slither of brisket inside of it.

I have lived in the area since 1988. This place used to be the spot to be at when I was growing up but lately has become SHIT!I went there today 7/16/2024 at 11:30am ish. I ordered two tacos plus an unsweetened tea in the drive through. They didn't have Tea??? It's Texas and it's around lunch time which meant they didn't wanna make it so I ordered a water instead. They told me my total which was $7.58. It took a while but when the waitress got to the window she said $8. I handed her the money, she shoved a balled up and greasy bag through my window, gave me my drink with something on it with 2 lids. When I jokingly said "you gave me 2 lids" while trying to take it off to give to her, she said "no, you can keep it" and then immediately got on her phone as if she had the most important text in the world. WOW!!! Rocky's has turn to shit! The owner or manager must not give a shit about this place.

Not happy we been on the road from the valley and had a heavy craving for some authentic Mexican food just to have a bad experience. We decided to dine in and, was treated unwelcomed. A party of six received chips and had to pay for extra after we were told no extra charge. Then we received to-go plates instead of regular plates with the first half of our order. The chicken fajitas were dry with no flavor. DONT BE AFRAID TO USE SEASONINGS GEESH. My daughter being very particular in what she eats had her order corrected over 3x.

This is a spot my mom can trust to dine in or out and always enjoys her meal. I have come here for many many years, so I was surprised to see the reviews and had to leave my own. Had the Monday enchilada plate special 3.6.23... it came with chalupa and boy oh boy... chefs kiss These enchiladas were hot, super cheesy, and oh my God the gravy for the enchiladas was full of flavor along with their refried beans. I'm pretty picky with rice, but I just slide some of that enchilada gravayyy and yaaaas girl . Man I could count the places that have good enchilada gravy in one hand. Oh, please remember that they do only 1 free refill for tea; they have signs at the register area explaining this. There's also a whiteboard with their specials so be sure to check that out. This location was/is the spot after a long night at the bar or club or even after your late shift... get a carne guisada or gordita and their sweet tea! I like how they play their music while we eat. Staff has always been friendly, always greeted me and my guests and I always see at least one employee making sure that the dining area is clean. I have always been comfortable every time that I dine in.

Great food for great prices. Now, one of my favorite stops in San Antonio for inexpensive and yummy Mexican food and snacks.

Breakfast and all Tox are Great! Ya get what ya pay for and then some. Keep up the great work Rox!

First off I'd like to say that the place has absolutely terrible service, the lady's serving were rude but that's not even the key factor to all of this, I was enjoying my tacos carne guisada (I've been here once before) I was sitting down and eating with my girlfriend and to my disgust I see a cockroach crawling on the floor. I put the food back on the plate and quickly left I never felt so disgusted and disappointed the food isn't bad at all but you loose me at roaches.. get it together Rocky's

Solud place. Fast & friendly service. Good food, of not groundbreaking. Someone else referred to this place as the Jim's of TexMex, I agree. Good solid comfort food in a diner sort of feel. Not fancy but filling & always there. The 2 ladies they had were working super fast & handling everything quickly while being pleasant & welcoming. The food we got- beef enchilada special, guisada taco, and picadillo taco. The beef enxhiladas were good, topped with enough cheese & gravy. I did get onion on it, too- bthey do not mess about with it there were so many. Just a heads up. The guisada was render & nice, but not much gravy. The picadillo has cilantro on it- just a heads-up. Weird addition that didn't think to ask about.Over all a good experience & we will be back.

I ordered 3 barbacoa tacos, and only ate half of one. It was disgusting, grease overflowing, and picked out as much of the fat as I could. Poor guacamole couldn't even help. You get what you pay for.
