Rios Barbacoa

Actual purchased on Sunday Oct.2, as a local SA the crave for barbacoa always there, however the choices are not.After the Shipley's donut routine. I was determined to locate good non saturated fatty barbacoa. Rios, a bit further than your regular taco run. Never the less, the drive was well worth it. The barbacoa was not greasy & the taste was spot on! Just the suffrage seasoning. Oh how I miss my barbacoa & Big Red. I ended up purchasing a package that included a slight discount plus a dozen of Spicy pork tamales. The good, barbacoa. Would definitely drive way over there again for barbacoa. The bad, the tamales would skip, I ate about 2. Seem to be filled with more masa than meat. Tamales were bland. Nothing to brag about. The chili seemed fresh & spicy. Corn tortillas not home made. Customer service was awesome, & professional!

Can i leave ZERO stars? When i had the food the meat was gross tasting. Like OLD. Explains why i felt sick the next day. Never again! Ugh, id avoid this place at all costs. We live in San Antonio.. theres no many other better places in this town. Yuck!

This "Hole in the wall" place is frightfully close to our residence hence it was deemed to check it out.They are open only on Saturday and Sunday from 7 to 12:30 only.I tried their barbacoa and was pleasantly surprised! It it tasty and delightfully gooey, just like barbacoa suppose to be. This takeout joint is very spartan, but do not be disappointed withe the decor, which does not exist. The barbacoa is spectacular, although the condiments could use some improvements. Give them a try, you shall be satisfied!

First of all they do run out of food frequently. But everything about this place is excellent. Food and service!Isaac is very personal and has a high level of knowledge and commitment to his foods and products. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Never disappoints. Always good staff and food ! I prefer their Barbacoa over anyone else's in SA.

Poor service. To go order. The lady told me they ran out of corn tortillas and ended up making me buy some for $4+ Lady is rude.

I just went there a few minutes ago and the tamales were gross. They were dark brown and had no flavor. Seemed like they were probably last weeks. NEVER AGAIN. I don't recommend. HEB tamales are way better than these.

The menudo, barbacoa and tortillas were great. They only open on weekends . Service was fast
