Rios Barbacoa

This is my go-to spot for barbacoa and cold Big Red.A sweet little family runs it. They're really nice. The barbacoa and tamales always hit the spot.The avocados are always ripe and ready.The chicharones are a perfect snack.They've got some really yummy menudo also!But, make sure to get there early for the menudo'cause people buy it all up quick!

We ordered Pozoles and tamales today , and while the pozole was full of flavor, and actually one of the best I have had in a while, the tamales were not anything to brag about. The tamales smelled like they had been over stramed(smoke). They had no flavor, salt, nothing. The filling was everywhere which may explain why the dozen was packaged in 2 different foil wraps and they were extremely greasy. I would not recommend this place for tamales .

The best barbacoa in San Antonio!! And their tamales are amazing!! They never disappoint.

I'm extremely picky about my barbacoa so once I found this spot i haven't tried any other. Always have clean meat just the way I love it. The staff is friendly and appreciative.

Theres alot of Barbacoa places around us but Rios has the best. Only thing is theyre supposed to open at 7 but they actually open around 7:20 or later. I wind up leaving and disappointed. Especially when I'm on my way to work

Nothing but the best food,service and ambiance! Family oriented in the Huebner area! Now I've moved and will miss them terribly! 100% out of this world ! Family and food together!
