As a 15 year plus downtown resident, this is our backyard. With 30 plus years in the hospitality field (now retired) I feel I can bring you real insight into our locations. The good, the bad and the ugly. If we run across a serious issue, I will always go directly to management and not post it. I truly believe you always must give management an opportunity to correct a serious issue. If not corrected and or just ignored, then I feel it is correct to inform the public - professionally. No establishment is perfect. I will bring to you smaller hiccups we may have come across. I will rarely comment on the taste of food - being bad, as that is a very personal thing. My wife and I disagree on taste of food and wine, no one is wrong or right. Now if the food is on fire, burned, under/overcooked to our requests, that would be mentioned.Found ourselves by the Pearl and checked on the OFFLINE application for nearby places to eat. Claudine on Grayson Street. Ladies you will love this place, not that I didn't enjoy it. The food was great! Most of the customers were lady groups having different types of gatherings. Great place to do this at a tea party theme place. Customer service was good. Then at the end of our meal our server stepped it up, giving us containers for our tea and labeling each container and placing them in a sturdy bag. We ordered two teas and had no idea we both would get PTS OF TEA lol - rookie mistake. A few notes and suggestions. If you go here to have a private conservation about whatever. Not the place. The building doesn't isolate the noise/talk at all. We heard many conversations and a few I wish I could get out of my head! With that said, we suggest lowering the music. It was a bit much with the talking and laughing and then add in the music. Nice touch, just suggest lowering the volume. Pricing, good for this area. A few items they are proud of, one being the $10 small pot of tea. The staff (front of the house as you entered and our server) asked us if this was our first time. Maybe a nice touch would have been when we ordered the tea, to inform us that it's a pot, not a cup. The menu, mmm mmm mmm. The items we ordered just see the pictures! PS flexible with Cindi and accommodating her vegetarian request.

Hoo boy. We came here for my wife's birthday. She was very excited to do an afternoon tea, so we made a reservation and arrived on time. The brunch menu looked delicious as well so she asked if we all needed to have tea or if some could have tea and others could order off the menu. The answer was that none of us could have tea. Afternoon tea requires a reservation; it isn't available for walk-ins. We, of course, had a reservation, but you need to have a reservation specifically for afternoon tea. When my wife said she didn't see anything about that on the website, the server said she wished the website had that information. So this is a known issue. Also the menu offers afternoon tea for $40/person. A bit confusing if you can't have it.Okay, disappointing, but we'll pivot. We order the popover service and some tea while we decide on our orders. The server returns and lets us know they aren't doing the popover service anymore. Did we want bread? No thank you, we'll just place our order. Oysters and grilled artichoke apps arrive fairly quickly and were great, but that's the end of the normal part of our meal.An hour later, no exaggeration, our entrees have not arrived. At this point our 9 year old is beyond his tolerance level for waiting for food, so we ask for some bread. The server says she knows we've been waiting for a while but our food will be out shortly. "We're experiencing a high volume." The restaurant is full at this point, yes, but it shouldn't be more than what they're expecting. Also, we've been here longer than most of the people in the restaurant. What food have they been preparing?30 more minutes pass and we decide we're done. We let them know to cancel our orders, including the bread that never arrived. A manager comes over to apologize and says that he hopes we'll consider returning in the future. Then he gives us the bill for the apps and tea that they did manage to get to our table. No discount, no comps. We didn't ask for anything, but it's not a good look to keep customers with a reservation waiting 90 minutes plus to not get their food with no explanation and no offer to offset the poor experience. We won't be back. Not even for the oysters.

Went here for restaurant week, we arrived early and were able to be sat right away which was nice. The atmosphere is quaint and eclectic and really reminded me of walking into my grandma's house which I'm sure was the point. Food wise the only noteworthy item was the French onion soup which was delicious but in comparison to other French onion soups in the area it wasn't enough to entice me to come back. My shrimp linguine only had 3 shrimps which I'm sure is a standard serving for this restaurant but in comparison to other places the price didn't justify only receiving 3 shrimps. The cocktails were great though! Don't think I'll be coming back due to the price point being too high for what you're getting.

Very cute and quiet location in East Broadway area. They have taken an old home and turned it. The food was amazing. The French Onion soup was very rustic ... cheesy, thick and rich broth, and lots of onions. It was a filling lunch on a rainy and cold day. The rest of the table enjoyed the meals ... Bouillabaisse, Coq Au Vin, and muffuletta. The popups were executed well but I am not a fan of the butter. The service was spotty at times but mainly good. She forgot to get drinks or other items twice. When we asked for coffee or espresso, we were told they have no espresso machine and the grinder had been broke for a week.I do plan to go back for Tea Time and the Girls Dinner.

Claudine is a standout dining spot, housed in a completely updated and stunning 1910 home that exudes charm and sophistication. The building combines beautiful chandeliers with eclectic wallpaper, creating an atmosphere that is both elegant and unique--a true feast for the eyes before you even sit down to eat.One of the highlights of Claudine is its ever-changing menu, ensuring every visit is a new and exciting culinary adventure. We started with the escargot, which was absolutely fantastic. I originally planned on ordering the muffuletta sandwich but couldn't resist changing my mind when I saw someone else's order of the chicken BLT. As a self-proclaimed sandwich connoisseur, I can confidently say it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The chicken was fried to perfection, and the bread was toasted just right--a balance of textures and flavors that hit every note.My wife ordered the bouillabaisse seafood soup, which was also incredible, though I might argue my sandwich had the slight edge. To complement the meal, I ordered a Manhattan, and it was expertly crafted--truly one of the best cocktails I've had in a while. The service was impeccable; the staff was knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely friendly. Their passion for great food and service really shines through, making the experience even more enjoyable.Claudine has earned every bit of its 5-star rating in my book. I can't wait to return for another unforgettable meal.

Absolutely a must-dine for me. It's actually a renovated home so the inside is super cute with fun wallpaper, scones and chandeliers. I ordered the ceasar salad with fries and I will be dreaming about this lunch until the next time I have it. It was THAT good.

We love Restaurant Week and decided to try only new places and this did not disappoint. You have to look because you could easily miss it and parking is tricky. Can call and they will walk you through. Really cute Atmosphere and the food was great. Some of the portion sizes were kind of small, which is somewhat normal for RW but still. The depth of flavor more than made up for it. The French Onion Soup was probably one of the best I have had. Ask for extra bread, it's a $5 charge but you will thank me for it. The Shrimp Lavender Linguine was amazing and so was the Halibut. Definitely will be back. Our server was good but ended up dealing with Tony mostly, helped with parking, and he is great.

I'm a bit torn on this review. Our experience was such a mixed bag of good, okay, and bad. Good: really nice vibe and decor, cornbread was excellent, sweet potato biscuits were great addition, shrimp was seasoned perfectlyOkay: drinks, service (although it took about 45 minutes to get our entrees after ordering), fried green tomatoes, Caesar saladBad: the gumbo was basically gravy, no okra or sausage to be found. For a restaurant with Cajun vibes this was just sadOverall it was a very mediocre meal. I think we would go back and try some other options, we heard brunch is great but won't be at the top of the list.

I went to Restaurant Claudine as a second resort when Smash'd across the street was closed. It was the best mistake that Smash'd made because Restaurant Claudine is amazing! I was celebrating my nursing school graduation and the server brought us their house champagne which was delicious and fruity. I was craving a burger and the down home burger with shoestring fries on the beautiful white plate was scrumptious! Overall, the ambiance, beauty, service, and delicious food will have me and my friends going back and you should too!
