Our server was exhausted and clearly over-worked. We felt so badly for him that we increased the review from 2 to 3 stars.The floors were filthy. Our food was cold and bland, but the chips and salsa were good. I had the chicken tenders salad but it was almost inedible.At one point our server asked if we wanted more chips and guac. Our 6 year old said yes, so he brought us another serving--and we were charged for it.

The. Best thing about this place is the outside. Where you should be. Don't waste your time. I live in Texas and never tried it. We had people in for the holidays from different states. I got the chicken fried steak it was good. The other meals were BBQ chicken,BBQ Brisket and the last was thd BBQ Ribs.The sauce is horrible. The french fries over cooked. The meat is just disgusting.We were told that 3 people called In sick. The service was slow and we understand this happens. One of our party ordered chips and salsa. Then waitress never asked hom for his lunch order.Seriously the only reason this place stays in buisness is people on vacation. Oh one more thing. Everywhere you look. There were full cups of Salsa. Why? Because that sucked as well.

While walking on the river walk we stopped in the RTR.... We sat outside, so obviously the ambience was great.... Of course my husband had the burger special. It was a double cheeseburger fries and a drink for 15.00... on the burger scale he says it was OK.... I had the appetizer chicken rolls....(that's not the real name, but it was listed as one of the favorites.) it was also OK.... (to me that means I don't take any leftovers.... Which I had) my husband had a glass of wine and I had their margarita size large of course it was pretty good, but just a warning they use some type of smoky tequila in there which normally I don't prefer just give me my Hornitos, please... our waiter. Coco was very nice and very attentive.... If there was a 3.5 we'd probably give it that....

Our total bill came to $103.34 after ordering 4 drinks and 3 appetizers during happy hour, which shocked us. Upon reviewing the receipt, we were surprised to see a $60 charge for tequila and pomegranate that we were not informed about. I inquired about the $16 tequila charge, questioning if margaritas did not already include tequila. The supervisor apologized for the mistake, but this incident highlights the importance of carefully reviewing your restaurant bill, as unexpected charges may be added. It is unacceptable for establishments to impose hidden charges, such as pricing margaritas by flavors without prior notice. Despite the good appetizers, this experience left us feeling like we were taken advantage of.

Food was tasty. Our party ordered burgers and fried steak and street tacos and enchiladas. The wait on food was a bit long but we weren't in any rush so we enjoyed the bar drinks and good conversation while we waited. Indoor seating was a cool welcome to the very hot weather outside.

Got my order wrong! Ordered steak medium with grilled shrimps; and got a well done steak and fried shrimps .Coleslaw and salad lack dressing.Did not provide small plates for the large order of triple platter nachos.Got iced tea drinks mixed up 3 times.

We were there Sunday, Jan. 26, 2025 @ 5:30 - 7:30 pm. Sat at the bar & watched the NFL game (Chiefs vs Bills). Bartender was very attentive until he got swamped around 6:40 pm, having to cover more tables than expected. That was very brief though. We ordered 1 Rancho Wrappers with the Queso cheese & 2 Sopa de Tortillas. Both were hot & very tasty. There was also a Mariachi Band going around & playing for those who wanted them too. Very cool! We loved the atmosphere, just felt like we were family or close friends. We would definitely recommend this place.

Had an enjoyable lunch after arriving in town. Neighboring patron's had some dishes that we thought looked good so went back for dinner the next night. Service at lunch had been spotty. Server pretty much ghosted us between meal delivery and the check. Another server graciously refilled empty drinks. Dinner - well, it didn't happen. They seated us at a desirable spot along the Riverwalk. The photographer stopped by. The mariachi band stopped by. But a server never did, even though a couple of them passed multiple times helping others. So, we ended up leaving hungry and more than a little annoyed. Where to dine is a choice. I won't be choosing this place again.
