Ray’s Pizza and Gelato

Gelato! Ray's is like a local diner from yesteryear. It's sorta retro themed, with Coca-Cola products all over, like you see in the movies. They offer HUGE pizzas, 20 inches across, covered in toppings. Thin crust. We stopped in for the gelato. They had about twenty different offerings, some of which were sorbettos, some were ice creams. They had a variety of interesting flavors, including purple yam gelato and banana dulce de leche. The service was a little aloof- they acted like they didn't wanna particularly want to be there. The place is clean. They've won a few Blue Plate Awards, which are only awarded to restaurants with perfect health inspections. Televisions abound on most walls showing the game. They offer beer on tap. Parking is a nightmare here. Ugg- such a frustrating lot. What's with the spaces where you block someone in where you park?A ray is usually a point with a line, but I found no lines at Ray's!

I needed an ice cream fix while visiting my nephew who's in the Navy. After using the yelps this place came up. I can't say anything on the food as we had already eaten. The ice cream was a hit! Thank you Ray! Inside Ray's restaurants

As we walked in we immediately started ordering, a lot of younger people working here and were actually super sweet, maybe not super helpful with deciding purchases but very sweet. They were very oriented and have support for when it gets busy, so people aren't waiting for a long period of time. An opportunity I noticed was the drink options, very few but decent selections. Food however was delicious, pizza was great, wings were average. Prices weren't bad at all. Good place to have Bible study, the noise inside isn't too overstimulating but the green lights are a bit bothersome. I would still prefer little caesars.

We were all in the mood for pizza and decided on Ray's. Walked in and the restaurant was very clean. They had some good lunch specials so I chose the 2 slices of pizza special. The food came out quick and was very good. They have a n extensive menu so we will be back to try some of the other specialties they have to offer.

The remodeled Ray's Pizza and Gelato serves one of the best New York style pizzas that I have tasted in San Antonio. We are regulars there and go probably once a week to get our pizza fix. We typically accompany our pizza with a side salad that is always fresh tasty and hits the right spot.We truly enjoy coming here as they have easily 9 to 10 screens with different events on each one. This makes for a sporty ambiance. The service is always great. You get your pizza quickly and you've guys have a nice sit down meal while you watch your favorite sports team on the screens.We've tasted their gelato also and it is wonderful, creamy and tasty according to the flavor.

One of my favorite pizza spots in town. Never disappoints! Please support your local pizza parlors because if we don't they will soon all die out! High quality pizza for a modest price!

I love Ray's so much that I'll admit their boneless wings are better than wingstop. Everything came out hot and fresh. I love that their salads have varied toppings like olives, chickpeas, a pepper, croutons, etc. A few toppings go a long way. I enjoy that the fries have parsley/parmesan on them, it's so tasty. Never had a bad meal or experience here.

Best place to grab a giant pizza to share with friends and family. My favorite item to share is the antipasto salad with the house dressing that is made with Italian meats over greens. It is enough for two people. It's spacious to host a gathering or just go on a date.

Nice hide away spot, I have had their pizza in the past, which is delicious. This time I tried their Lasagna, a side salad and a slice of German Chocolate Cake. TI was only going to eat half the Lasagna but it was so good I couldn't stop and finished it off. The salad was very good and the cake was very good

Great food great price But the girls working there had NO smile on them. I could tell that they didn't want to be there.Place needs a better air conditioner cause it was hot 83 degreesAnd just to make it clear I never complain about the quality of food in there. Food is great
