Q's Place Creole Cooking & Seafood

My job got this food truck to come to the site so naturally I googled the business name because I had never heard of this place before. I looked at their photos and just decided to go with their fried seafood items. Got their fried fish and I was surprised by how much comes in the plate. It was three or four large fried pieces of catfish with French fries. Really good flavor and crispy fish.

I called and received great service. When I told them I was a first-timer, they texted me a menu and a link to pay as well as their pin-drop location. It was great trying this place to mark off my list of places for fried catfish. Unfortunately my expectations were too high. I wasn't impressed with the coating and the mix of spices on the fish. I expected way more for $22 for a combo of 4 pieces of fish and 6 shrimp. The menu on Yelp didn't match their menu so I was surprised when they sent their menu via text but I had already committed to my order based on Yelp's menu. And for this caliber of fish and pricing, you cannot unapologetically provide tartar sauce in a packet. It has to be be scratch-made. The nice lady said they ran out when I asked.We did get a bonus single hush puppy. It wasn't my favorite. I don't eat them enough to know what they're supposed to taste like. I prefer less sweet.I'm not sure if I'll try other menu items. If I'm going to pay that much, I'd prefer to be a sit down restaurant where you can enjoy the food hot. This is a food truck that you need to get their pin-drop location for. So you never know how far from home you're going to be.

I had a few different options here. Everything tasted fresh,The fried shrimp and fish plate was very good. Fish tastes clean, the hush puppies are excellent, gumbo was ok, maybe it was just ok, because it was very cold outside so it got cold fast, ill have to try it again this summer. Fair disclosure i love cajun/creole food, so I've had LOTS of gumbo, and my wifes grandmother was full cajun. They give you a beeper so you can walk back to the bar till the grub is ready. Very convenient. The staff was very friendly. The trailer itself is very nice, maybe the nicest I've seen in a while. The menu is hard to read, just a printed sheet of paper that could really use some bold print and lighting to see it.

Y'all ever encounter a new dish that absolutely changes how you think about food? Here's the pitch: Crawfish etouffee on french fries. Creole poutine.It's every bit as good as it sounds. It's one of those "why didn't I think about it?" The food was great, the portions were generous, and the folks working there were super, super nice. I will absolutely be seeking them out in the future.

This food truck is making the rounds in New Braunfels, Seguin, and especially its home base right next to the Marion Post office. These folks are from Beaumont and they sure no seafood.They have a very limited menu from fried shrimp and fish fillet plates to crawfish etouffee and award-winning seafood gumbo.They have won several regional gumbo championships at festivals and it was some of the best tasting seafood gumbo I've had and I'm from New Orleans. The fish and shrimp lacked Creole seasoning and even basic salt so I picked it up myself with my Tony chachere's which I always have with me. I have chicken and sausage gumbo or seafood gumbo. it was out of this world rich and delicious. It was super spicy with a very thick roux. There was plenty of shrimp sausage and even gumbo crabs in it.everyone in Marion is craving this gumbo there even ordering it. Marion needed something like this and I hope they stay for a long time. there in an empty parking lot where a taco truck has been for about the last two years. Everyone in marion is welcoming them including City officials.

I love it. I tried the crawfish Etouffe before but this was truly the best that I've tasted. I had the Fried fish with crawfish Etouffee over white rice and some on fries. I recommend everyone try this restaurant.

Had the étouffée fries today and they were amazing! The étouffée had great flavor and good amount of crawfish. And the fries were cooked to perfection! We've been trying all the places in seguin and been fairly disappointed with a few exceptions and Q's Place Is one of them! Try them!

We ordered the seafood combo from Q's food truck while it was parked near downtown Seguin yesterday. We shared one order due to the large portions. We plan to try the Creole next time.

Q's Place food truck made a stop in our neighborhood and we decided to try it out. We weren't disappointed! I had the shrimp pool with rice and a side salad with seafood gumbo, and my husband ordered the fried fish with chicken and sausage gumbo. It was all delicious! The food was perfectly seasoned and the gumbo had the perfect kick! I would definitely recommend them and I will absolutely purchase from them again if they stop by our neighborhood. The owners are very sweet! They're originally from Beaumont, but now live in New Braunfels.
