As a matcha enthusiast, I commonly ask about the matcha used for lattes. This matcha is pre-sweetened, so not ceremonial grade.I only got a matcha latte (no extra sweetener added) and it was far too sweet - like ice cream. Now, that said, I bet their match ice cream would be great. The store was cute inside and had some local vendors as well. Staff was nice, but I would not go back for a latte based on my tastes.

Such a cute matcha cafe!! They have a full menu of every possible combination of hot or iced matcha with ube or matcha ice cream. It can be a lot to decide from and the woman at the register was really helpful. They have a fun Photo Booth here and lots of indoor seating. They also have the viral Korean corn dogs that we saw a lot of people ordering.

Just okay to me, nothing crazy. It's a HUGE cup and lots of different textures. The matcha flavor is solid but the ube flavor was lacking. The cereal adds a really nice crunch but I wish it was plain instead of frosted flakes bc it's a bit too sweet. Good mochi

I wanted to get a sweet treat before I left San Antonio and Matcha Cafe Maiko is the perfect spot for a 9pm dessert. When I think of good matcha I always think about Cafe Maiko and others must feel the same way because the store was completely packed when I came by. There was no seating available and some customers were even sitting on the floor. They were sold out of some things like the cones so I opted for the Ube Matcha Soft Serve Ice Cream which was a little over $7. Pretty good value considering they give you a lot and my ice cream wasn't hollow like some people in the past has complaiend about. Not gonna lie I really enjoyed the Ube more than the Matcha with it being a lot sweeter. Both flavors go great together. It was so smooth and creamy too. Definitely worth it.Also a bit of a downside their kiosk was down at the time too so I had to order at the cashier, but the service was good and my order was made very quickly. In San Antonio, it's hard to find a better dedicated Matcha store than this one that is for sure.

Felt like I've been missing out on the Soft Served Matcha since I've only ever ordered the Matcha Latte. We dropped in after having lunch at Wild Gogi for some soft served Matcha. Some say pricey, but definitely worth the price if you'd ask me.It was quite busy. There were vendors inside selling all kinds of cute stuff.

P.M.C.M is a cute cafe. It's a fun, casual place to sit, relax, and enjoy a sweet treat. Vendors are set up inside, selling different items if you want to shop for cute things. My husband and I ordered the matcha ube swirl ice cream, and my daughter ordered the matcha ice cream. The matcha was delicious, with a robust earthy flavor, but it was still tasty. You could taste that it was authentic ceremonial-grade matcha, complementing the ube ice cream very well. There are other treats for you to enjoy, which we'll try the next time we return. The service was excellent!

Two weeks ago I bought their mixed Maiko Special, love it, enjoyed it a lot not too sweet with just the right amount of ingredients on my medium cup. Too bad they could have received a five star rating from me if I posted my review back then. But today, exactly two weeks ago, the same day Friday at about the same time, I ordered another Maiko Special, mixed ube and matcha soft serve ice cream and alas, what an unpleasant surprise, hollow, empty just air inside. I didn't asked them why nor complained, thought it's how they serve it but recalling my cup two weeks ago, it wasn't hollow at all. After reading several reviews here, I decided to post my own. Perhaps unless they read reviews here, but I could only hope. The least they could do is reply and apologize here or explain, as a courtesy.The three star is just for the customer service, cleanliness including the single bathroom and the overall taste. Absolutely two less stars for the "huge" cavernous space inside my cup of Maiko Special, though literally it's not "special" because it's hollow, just air, it looked a huge serving until I scooped several times revealing the emptiness inside...

Ice cream is always yummy at any of their locations and I've been to this one a handful of times. I don't usually leave reviews but this experience left a sour taste in my mouth with their service.This time around, I requested no ice in my float and the cashier looked at me funny and stated, "that's what makes it a float." So I just let it be. When I got my order though, not only did they put the wrong ice cream on it (honest mistake & easily fixed), there was ice nearly coming out of the drink. Half the drink was huge chunks of ice. I had to eat it quickly so it wouldn't spill over. It was fairly busy but that doesn't excuse the poor quality of service. A quick Google search will tell you that a float doesn't need ice to be a float, just the beverage and ice cream. Please do better.
