We made a reservation for Sunday at 11:30 AM. It wasn't busy, and we were greeted right away. The host was friendly, and we were seated quickly. The restaurant had lots of colorful, decorative art on the walls, which added to the atmosphere. Our server was great--super friendly and easy to talk to. He even shared that he was planning a cruise, though I can't remember his name. Ross? Super chill, had excellent recommendations and was very knowledgeable. For drinks, my wife ordered the white peach bellini. It wasn't overly sweet--just a nice balance of flavors with prosecco and peach purée. I went for the Real Ale IPA, and they had $6 pitchers on Sundays, which worked out to about three pints--definitely a better deal than the bottled beers, which were mostly $7. They had a good selection of draft beers available for the $6 pitcher deal, maybe 7 or 8 options, if not more. For food, we ordered the Tuscan Grilled Tuna Sandwich with a side of romaine, the Italian Beef Panini with potato soup and tater tots, and the Beef and Chicken Skewers. The Tuscan Tuna Sandwich had pickles and tasted like a more refined, "grown-up" version of a classic tuna sandwich--warm, flavorful, and not too fishy. The Italian Beef was tender and juicy, served with au jus that wasn't overly salty, making it perfect for dipping. The skewers were well-seasoned and moist, not dry at all. They came with a Greek yogurt sauce that was fresh, tangy, and creamy, with hints of dill--an excellent pairing. The tater tots were next-level--super crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and not greasy. They came with a sauce that had a little spice to it, adding a nice kick. Overall, it was an excellent experience. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was great, and the music wasn't too loud. We'll definitely be back--next time, we're trying the bruschetta!

What a delight...The quantity for the price was excellent. Everything makes your mouth dance with a great combination of flavors. The OMG grilled cheese was full of unique flavors. The added touch of tomato "dip" soup allowed for a softer bite when dipping the two sandwiches. Yes, it's not one grilled cheese. He salmon starter was enough for three or four people. Even the mocktails gave me reason to go back. It was a bit loud. There are plenty of derivations to keep your eyes occupied. Though, this Friday night, there was no room at the bar for single people to sit causing a wait.

Our first night in San Antonio and we were looking for a cool new spot to try and we landed on Postino. Now I'm just sad we're leaving since there's no Postino in Vegas! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a bustling ambiance and were immediately brought over to a table. It was pretty busy for a Monday night, so be sure to make a reservation beforehand. Our server, Grace, was so lovely! She was super kind and explained the menu and checked up on us several times. We got a bunch of stuff to share, but the standouts were the Bruschetta Board and the Crispy Cauliflower. The Bruschetta Board is such a great idea, and each one we tried was unique and tasted amazing. For our 4 choices we got the French Onion, Warm Artichoke, Smoked Salmon and the chefs selection which was Beets Cheese with candied Pecans. Wow. I was obsessed!! The beets were my personal favorite, but we each enjoyed all of them. And they cut it up for the table which was such a good touch. The Crispy Cauliflower was outstanding. It was loaded with sauce underneath and the cauliflower was warm and soft as you cut through it. Really delicious! They also had a great variety of lemonade "mocktails" which was nice to see. I opted for the Blackberry Smash, which I believe was a blackberry arnold palmer. It wasn't too sweet and was super refreshing!Overall, our experience was amazing thanks to the out of this world food and consistent service. Next time we're in Texas, we're definitely coming back!

Today, I ordered my usual: a board and some cucumber honey lemonade. It delivered as always. What was a bit disappointing, was the service. Every single time the waiter came to the table to ask if I needed anything, he would stop at every other table as well, because he was "doing his rounds". That's all fine and dandy, but after a while of continuous waiting, it became annoying.Nonetheless, Postino's will always get my business. Prices are good, nice vibes, and the wine is amazing!

As hard as it seems to believe, it was already time for another of my monthly retiree luncheons. I'm not sure I ever revealed that I am the coordinator for my elementary school group. Twelve of us had planned on meeting in New Braunfels at a particular restaurant but they would not work with me on a reservation. I was told we could have two tables in different dining rooms or a two hour wait for a table for twelve. They wouldn't even allow a reservation for twelve and actually told me to call and check the waitlist before leaving my house. Then, I could call everyone and tell them what time to arrive. I think not! I polled our group, and we opted on finding another place. Luckily, I found Postino. We were seated at a large table in a semi-private area of the restaurant. At first, I thought the music was a bit loud, but after a few minutes, I didn't even notice the music. The room was bright and cheery with an awesome chandelier above our heads and huge pieces of matching art on the back wall, which the server told us was from a circus.Let's talk about our server, Sebastian. He was great. He was able to answer any question we threw at him and got all of our orders correct. He was friendly and really seemed to want us to enjoy ourselves. I will add one thing, although it is probably totally inappropriate. Sebastian was one of the best looking humans I have ever seen in person. I mean this dude had movie star good looks. Nothing in his behavior or attitude indicated that he was aware of it, but several of the people at the table commented on his good looks. Everyone at the table was impressed with their food. It all looked super appealing and delicious. I had the soup of the day, which was an Italian style navy bean and sausage. It was really good. I wish I could have eaten it with a crusty loaf of bread. I also had the chopped chicken salad. It was truly amazing. All the different greens were chopped to the point of being indistinguishable. But, the fresh flavors of each of them came shining through with each bite. The dressing was really light and did not disguise anything. The salad was a definite party for the tastebuds.I tried the olive oil cake for dessert. It was really good, but not as good as my mother used to make. They gave me two big pieces on the plate. I ate one and passed the second around for others to taste. I'm not real big on taking things home- especially when I wasn't really supposed to be eating them.Oh... One more thing I want to mention. Since I am new to the "non-alcoholic" scene because of my diabetic medications, I always check for non-alcoholic wines, beers, or cocktails. This establishment has one of each. I was very pleased with the non-alcoholic IPA they had available. I actually had two. The new brews are crafted really well and are hard to tell from fully alcoholic ones.

I totally get the hype around this place! I was visiting from the DMV, and since our Airbnb was just down the street, we decided to stop by an hour before closing. Despite the late hour, the staff welcomed us with smiles, and we were seated right away. We ordered drinks and got to enjoy some truly incredible food. The prosciutto and brie was an absolute standout--I'm a big fan of this combo and they nailed it, easily a 10/10. The Caesar salad was perfectly crisp and fresh. The ambiance is lovely too--dim lighting, great atmosphere, and their wine list is both exclusive and impressive. This would be an ideal spot for a first date or a casual meet-up with friends. I'm already planning to return for their brunch next time I'm in town!
