Poetic Republic Coffee

This spot is such a vibe, they have great service, the pastries are always fresh and full of flavors, and the coffees are some of my favorites from any other local shop. I love how the iced lattes have 4 shots of expresso. Makes them really give me that quick of energy that i need! If you are looking for a very nice coffee shop to work and relax, i highly recommend this spot.

Came here to do some work. It's hard to find a cute coffee shop on the southside but this is closer to downtown so I guess it was a compromise. The location itself is along Presa and parking can be an issue but I came when it wasn't too packed so I found a spot up front. Hope you know how to parallel park The space is a vibe itself. There's plenty of tables to sit and don't worry, if you're trying to get work done there is plenty of outlets!! If you'd like a quiet space, this ain't the place for you. Their music is a bit loud IMO but just bring your AirPods and you'll be good. Unless you have a meeting, this ain't the place for you. Now onto the coffee....if that's why you're reading I can't help you there. Coffee is coffee - it was good! I got the brown sugar cinnamon latte. I liked it! Hope this helps!

An exciting update: over the 2024 holidays, Poetic Republic installed a new oven for heating food that warms each item thoroughly and quickly! It's perfect, and works so fast, they had the (very tasty) Breakfast Sandwich (my fave) to me before even the cappuccino (another fave!) was ready. I used to have to wait as much as 15 minutes for a food item to get thoroughly warmed, and now the espresso and food arrive at nearly the same time! Happy New Year, Poetic Republic!

I wish this magical coffee shop had more operational hours, because coming at 7pm on the quiet street for Silent Book Club was truly a wonderful experience. This year is the first year I have actually tried reading poetry and to go to Poetic Republic was a beautiful end cap to that. My latte was excellent. The ambiance is so cozy and service was great. Highly recommend!

This is such a cute and cozy coffee spot, and I would love to come back. The staff was incredibly friendly, and I really enjoyed my coffee. Unfortunately, my partner didn't like his cortado--but to be fair, he's quite the coffee snob!

Needed a spot to touch up my finances and remembered POETIC R COFFEE! Second time here and I could not have asked for a better spot. Baristas were friendly and patient. The interior is just so..CUTE..so earthy like.I ordered an iced coffee with Lavender and a blueberry muffin warmed - delicious and simple. What I was looking for was definitely met. Will be back.

Standard coffee offerings, made in-house. Staff is always friendly. Nothing stands out but I can also appreciate sticking to basics and pumping out solid coffee instead of what's popular and overly sweet. Unlike a lot of coffee spots, especially non-chains, this place is small and set-up like what I'd consider to be a "traditional" coffee house versus a study center or hangout spot. With that said, tables are small and you won't be able to have (2) laptops open if visiting with someone. Also, the area fills up fast. Wi-Fi is super fast and makes for a spot to take a break in the middle of the day, knock out a couple emails and be on your way.

My first time here! Definitely gives you all the cute, earthy, chill vibes! It's SO cute inside! It was actually busy when I got there, most of the tables were full with people chitchatting which I actually enjoy seeing! I got the iced lavender iced coffee, I recommend but it's not for the weak because it's a bit strong lol! The baked goods are a must, they have a Nutella swirl bread and ughhhhhh you have to pair it with your coffee. Don't forget to toast it I'm coming more often for sure! OH and the playlist is fireeeeeeeeeee!

We used to drop in on Sundays after church a little after 1pm. But, since you're closing at 2pm on Sundays we just can't get there with enough time due to the distance. Miss the great coffee and great vibes. Hope they reconsider their hours once Spring arrives. Maybe stay open till 3pm on Sunday? I understand staffing and other business concerns but, if it is possible please reconsider.

The absolute BEST strawberry matcha in all of San Antonio. The matcha is extremely smooth and tastes amazing. However, if you're not a fan of sweeter matcha it probably won't be your favorite but it's the best in my opinion. Really calm and relaxing environment and the staff is extremely friendly and sociable. It's my top 3 coffee shops in all San Antonio. The only downside is the parking, but it has nothing to do with Poetic itself. I really really recommend Poetic if you're looking for a new coffee spot!(The image attached was of a latte they recommended me to try and it was extremely good but I can't remember what it was)
