Plaza's Mexican Restaurant

Great cheese enchiladas, very enticing and tasty. Far exceeded my expectations. Great family owned restaurant.

I have been doing a TikTok series where I try different Mexican/Tex-Mex restaurants in San Antonio that I have never been to before. Usually, I am able to find restaurants when driving by them or a simple search, however, most my followers have been suggesting some of their favorites, which lead me straight to Plaza's Mexican Restaurant! First, the location's address is now 1516 Basse Rd, San Antonio, TX 78213, which is only a few blocks north from where they were previously located. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the owner and her daughter, who I recognized from TikTok! Happy coincidence!! We sat ourselves and immediately our server handed us menus. The ambiance is super casual and the restaurant was very clean. They have an old school jukebox that I imagine you can jam out to some Tejano music on! What we ordered:2 Bacon, Egg and Cheese TacosCheese Enchilada PlateCarne Guisada Plate#25 Regular Plate - 1 cheese enchilada, carne guisada, 1 tamale I absolutely love that their carne guisada was cut in small cubes. I usually have to cut up my carne guisada when I order it at other places. The tortillas were hot, fresh and fluffy! I can see why so many people love and frequent this place. The service is excellent, the food is well seasoned, the enchiladas were that yummy Tex-Mex American cheese. One of the very best Mexican Restaurants in San Antonio. Great homemade tortillas, great salsa & some of the best costumer service in townThe owner is always checking on tables and there is plenty of parking

Plaza's is always good. The food is fresh, hot, flavorful, and cheap! A must on a weekend morning. No matter what you order, it's tasty and authentic, can't go wrong!

Love their breakfast tacos and very friendly staff. Only downside is they moved a little further from me but totally worth the extra few minutes of driving

I really like this place. The food is pretty good. My personal favorite thing is their salsa ranchers that they serve with the chips. That is what makes me go back. It is a friendly place and everything is very clean and nice.

To be Completely Honest I was iffy .Once you walk in felt Like Home all The Lady's were so SWEET!!!!Felt like a Nice family , There's no half Naked Waitress its Very Friendly and Don't get me started on the Food !!!!!!!1000% Delicious !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!AMAZING Amazing AMAZING!!!!!!!!! Food speaks for it self!!!. & Very Clean.

I love this place simply because it feels like home, the food is always great comes out fresh and hot! Staff is friendly and always attentive, even the owner is involved with the customers and good with staff! Must try!
