We searched for a good vegan donut place this past weekend and found this cute spot downtown. Reading online reviews, this place had really good donuts and we wanted to try for family members that are vegan. The place is pretty roomy inside and good amount of seats available. Very clean and well kept for sure. the staff was absolutely fun to talk with. They were very well informed of what they had and we had good conversation. We ordered a maple caramel latte which was pretty good. It wasn't as sweet as I expected but my family liked it. I ordered the rose gold and it was absolutely delicious (it's not a coffee but you could ask for a shot if you wanted it be). Nice and sweet and would definitely come back just for this. Out of all the donuts I would say my favorite was the cookie monster and chocolate caramel donuts. The cookie monster had bits of cookie on top and was very sweet. The donut itself was soft and seemed more like a cake donut which wasn't bad. The chocolate donut I really liked too because it wasn't overly sweet for me. What made the donut sweet was definitely the frosting. The one I least liked was the witch brew one. I wasn't really a fan of the filling honestly (can't remember what it was supposed to be) but felt was missing something. The booberry one wasn't so bad I believe was a cinnamon donut but not a fan of the flavor. Overall the place was nice to try and i would recommend to people that are vegans. I do believe even if you're not, you would be able to find something to enjoy. They also do offer tacos but I didn't order any to try. One thing I would point out is be aware they are open for a few hours a day (9 to 2pm) so be sure to check before trying to come by.

It fills my heart with joy when I find a gluten free place with gluten free baked goods. This spot has been open for a while now and I finally made my way there. All of the baked goods were delicious. The Pecan Pie bread with the pecan pie filling was great. The chocolate donut was perfect. The service was excellent. The wall art is cute. Great study spot too across from SAC.

I recently visited Plantyful Sweets at 1520 N Main Ave, and I must say, it was a delightful experience! As someone who appreciates plant-based and gluten-free options, this place was a dream come true.Food: The food was absolutely fantastic. Every item I tried was bursting with flavor and creativity. The cupcakes were moist and delicious, the cookies had the perfect balance of sweetness, and the breakfast tacos were a great way to start the day. It's clear that a lot of thought and care goes into their menu, and it shows in every bite.Service: The service was top-notch. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that all my needs were met. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations. It's always nice to feel welcomed and valued as a customer, and the team at Plantyful Sweets certainly knows how to make that happen.Atmosphere: The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. The decor is charming, with a modern yet homey feel. It's a great spot to relax with a cup of their amazing coffee or to catch up with friends over some sweet treats. The ambiance really adds to the overall experience, making it a place you want to return to.Price: The only downside was that it was a bit on the pricey side. While the quality of the food and the overall experience justify the cost to some extent, it might not be an everyday indulgence for everyone. However, for special occasions or a treat-yourself day, it's definitely worth it.Overall, Plantyful Sweets is a gem in San Antonio for anyone looking for delicious plant-based and gluten-free options. Despite the higher prices, the quality of the food, the excellent service, and the wonderful atmosphere make it a place I highly recommend. I'll definitely be back!

The sweets were very good. I got a cookie sandwich and almond butter blonde with an americano. Anyone who is gluten and dairy free (or vegan) I would highly recommend.I was not a fan of the price. I feel this place charges on the higher end of these treats. I also had to wait awhile. I was a little bit on a time crunch and had to wait over 10 mins for two pastries, and a coffee. I may have considered not ordering a coffee but I didn't know that going into it.Also know there's parking behind the building .

I've periodically stopped by Plantyful Sweets for a little over 2 years now and it's by far my favorite bakery/cafe in San Antonio. I have celiac disease so it's very hard for me to eat out, but I've never had any trouble with Plantyful Sweets! The staff is always kind and welcoming and the ambiance is beautiful! My only gripe is that it's only open till 2pm but I understand it's hard for small businesses to maintain long hours. I hope to go to this cafe for many more years!

Nice place that is growing their establishment. I came in to try a few options. I ordered the lemon chia donut, La frida taco, and chai tea latte. *Lemon chia donut- really great! Enjoyed the moistness and sweet and flavorful *La Friday taco- is beans, vegan cheese, & potatoes it was nice, on the small side would try again*Chai tea latte- this missed the mark for me, lacks any kind of flavor They are very welcoming and have patience. I asked a bunch of questions to try and get a good spread of food. The menu is light and they are working in different options. I believe the menu changes monthly but they do have some permanents. I overheard about a Superfood lattes rewards program. But 10 get a free drink. Going back I'd probably stick more with the pastries.

I visited Plantyful Sweets while participating in the SA Coffee Crawl this weekend and fell in love with this shop! All their sweets are gluten free, vegan and everything we tried was tasty (plus my kids ate it)! I loved that their drinks included purposefully nutritious ingredients. Plus the staff was so sweet and friendly with myself and my kids. I will gladly return when I am in the area!!

Cute coffee and dessert shop' it's gluten and dairy free, even better! Love the atmosphere when you walk in, I could stay and work there happily. The service was great, the girl was very helpful in recommending some good options and helping me choose tasty items. I got the Horchata / Oat latte & added a shot of espresso making It caffeinated and it was a great mix, my New morning craving. They also have a rotating menu of gluten & dairy free desserts, love that I won't get bored with options. The apricot bread was delicious, textured like banana bread but on another level with apricot. They have a great spot and hats off to the baker!
