We were only in town for three days but ended up going back for the horchata twice!!! The owners were extremely nice and even offered samples of the "meat" to try when we weren't sure what to get. Shop was clean and tidy. Great experience:)

What a good surprise to find a good vegan taqueria in San Antonio! My husband and I were visiting from Austin, and we found this gem. We ordered one mini taco plate and a full taco. Our favorite protein was the portobello mushroom one. And their horchata was really yummy as well, made with coconut milk! The service was exceptional, served Michael was super friendly and took time to explain each item and gave us samples to try before we ordered as well. Please stop by to try this beautiful place out!

The "chicken" and "beef" here are approaching "meat". They're not quite there, but with the appropriate spices and sauces, the entrees make a lovely meal, albeit the texture is unmistakably not meat. The fajita tacos come with a strip of bell pepper and onion, which the other tacos do not, so I recommend the fajita tacos. Both the mild and spicy sauces the restaurant offers are surprisingly creamy and bland, so I'd recommend more lime wedges squeezed on the tacos instead

I stopped into Plantaqueria while staying nearby for business. I enjoy trying vegan spots throughout my travels and seek them out. Upon entering the restaurant it was filled with something burnt. Like pretty perverse. Minus a star as it meant dining in would be unpleasant. Anyways, the employee was friendly and the menu was easy to navigate. I got the Birria, a side of charro beans and chips and guacamole. All to go. It took about 5 minutes to be prepared. During the wait I got some green and red salsa, which spoiler alert they both were quite unremarkable. I enjoy hot sauces and salsas but these were meh. No real flavor. The birria was quite good with fake meat and vegan cheese. It came with dipping sauce which I didn't find it elevated the dish. However I would get it again. The guacamole was good. The chips crisp but covered in oil. The charro beans were good. All in all I enjoyed the meal however I had higher hopes. I will try them again but likely order something else.

Plantaqueria has some seriously good vegan tacos! My favorite has to be the breakfast tacos, especially the bean and cheese one. Their Valentine's Day special is also a winner -- the taquitos served in a heart-shaped box are both adorable and delicious. Honestly, I'd happily get one just for myself!Their quesadillas are another must-try. Parking can be tricky, so I usually park at St. Mary's Garage and take a short walk. Totally worth it!

As we were inspired by the history of almo, we decided to have Mexican foods instead of Italian! We googled it and found this vegan restaurant near the river walk!As we walked in, a friendly staff, Micheal, supported our visit there and gave us good explanations for the foods we were choosing. He gave us some samples for the protein items! That was brilliant and very helpful and we were able to get the ones we wanted at the end! We got the mini tacos (4 mini tacos), single taco and a delicious horchata! Personally, portabello mushroom ones are the winner of the night but they were all good! Love to have nice vegan restaurant like this in Jarrell, TX!Anyways, keep up the great work!Cheers

I came here with my friend and my academic advisor for lunch during our academic conference and we all were pleasantly surprised to find a purely vegan restaurant! The food was incredibly flavorful and fresh, and the portions are huge! Our server was very helpful and friendly, and he was super nice about giving us recommendations! While there are limited seating options, it's totally worth it to wait and enjoy your meal! It's a cute Mexican restaurant vibe with fun pink and yellow decor! Overall, delicious and innovative!

I walked over here from my hotel. It seemed like it wasn't a great part of town so I got my food to goThe people working here were really niceWhen I got back after a ten minute walk, the tortilla were still warm and intact. Usually they disintegrate and tear if you don't eat your tacos right away I thought everything was very flavorful. I got the four mini tacos. You can't get four different flavors but can get two options which is what I didI let them pick The sauce was great too. Tasted like a creamy habanero sauce that went well with the tacos It looks like a protein salad but these were very good

All the flavor of roast beef or chicken in a vegan way, a great way to combine flavors that seem authentic, excellent service, I really enjoyed my meal.
