Garlic ramen bowl
Latino Roll
Cucumber cooler, lackluster
Lemon sake with Sapporo
Shoyu Ramen with broth added in. Since the broth wasn't even hot, this was only okay at best. Don't get ramen to go
Vietnamese summer roll
Samurai rib
Spicy Edamame
Ribeye roll
Tonkotsu Ramen and Spicy Miso Ramen
Pork ear
Crudo/Bullet Roll
Shoyu Ramen minus the broth. Not bad, but the edges of the chashu were kind of burnt

Finally found a sushi spot worth going to in San Antonio! I am definitely going to become a regular here. I have passed by this restaurant quite a few times and never really paid any attention to it. It is very unassuming and you can easily walk or drive past it. Obviously, I found it on Yelp, and the reviews were pretty positive. But, let me tell you...I wasn't ready. After living in the area for the past 6 months and trying various sushi spots, which none had stood out, I decided to give this place a try. Honestly, now I probably won't even bother to venture out to try and find a different sushi spot. It's a cozy little restaurant, not very big, but they do have a decent sized patio, which is good, because they do get busy. We had to sit at the counter, because we didn't want to wait 30 minutes to be seated. This was on a Sunday, at like 3:30ish and it was poppin'. That also could have been due to the fact that it was Happy Hour. They have a pretty modest menu here. They don't have a myriad of roll options, and certainly not any baked rolls, if that's what you're into. It's pretty straightforward, which I appreciate, as it is more quality of the product focused. Let me tell you, they did not disappoint! We ordered something from just about each food category on the menu, with the exception of the 2 piece Sushi & Sashimi and the Ramen.Starting with the Small Plates: The Gyoza and Karaage. Both very delicious. However, I wasn't a fan of the marinated watermelon that came with the Karaage. I was very much looking forward to it, as it sounded delicious. It was mushy and very disappointing.Cold Plates: The Salmon Ceviche was a success. Very fresh and bright.Rolls: The Ribeye Roll was a favorite. It was like a steak dinner in sushi form. Will definitely order this again. The Sexy Roll was pretty good. I'm not a huge fan of crawfish, which is pretty much the only flavor that came through, to me, despite the other promised flavor profiles. I would probably order it again, but not any time soon. The Marry Me Roll was probably the standout roll for me. It blew my mind, in a good way! I have never seen or had anything like this. You definitely taste the strawberry, and it marries very well with the other ingredients. It was almost dessert like, in a way. Almost like a strawberry shortcake or a funnel cake, maybe? Either way, I am ordering this roll EVERY time!Classic Rolls: Philly Roll. Not much else to say, other than it's your standard Philly Roll.Overall, it was a great experience and I am very pleased to have found this place. I definitely want to try the Ramen next time, since I sat at the counter and watched the guy at the Ramen station prepare bowl after bowl, and having FOMO as every single bowl passed before me. There was also a Small Plates scallop dish that I kept seeing going out, but did not see it on the menu. I will definitely ask about that. Also, the Samurai Rib looked amazing. I definitely want to try that as well.

I would say -Fast service -good service-happy hour prices are good-menu items are pricey. A bowl of ramen (very large) is around 16 dollars but the ramen was very very good, I'd give it a 9.5/10. -lively setting there aren't walls it's booths and such like a Japanese setting restaurant, if it gets loud you can hear others though, although nice booths so I'd give setting 7/10Overall food 9.5/10 (SO GOOD)Setting 7/10 (Not the biggest of how open it is but very comfortable)Service 9/10 (great service but wasn't anything crazy fast & efficient. I'd say for it to be a 10/10 just having the waiter offer dish ideas be friendly etc.Overall score 4/5!Although if I could add a decimal 4.5/5 (prices is what makes it a bummer, although again said happy hour is good.

Had a friend visiting from out of State and we wanted Japanese food so we tried this place for the first time. Ordered a few things to share. The takoyaki was so bomb! Tried a flavored sake and it was too good! Service was great - server was very nice and helpful. The place was nice and they had tatami seats which reminded me of Japan.

I visited this location for the first time with my girlfriend this evening. It was a pleasant atmosphere. The waitress was very patient and helpful the entire night. Im not sure of her name but she was a younger Hispanic woman with long black hair, in specifically a pony tail, on this evening. She continuously checked on us and I observed her constantly staying busy. Not one time , did I see her standing around. Even when the restaurant slowed down, she found things to remain active and busy. We tried the Shishito Peppers, Scallops, Tonkotsu Ramen , Spice Miso Ramen, and Black Sesame Crème Brûlée for dessert. Everything tasted fantastic and was prepared and presented exceptionally well. I look forward to our next visit.

Fun post work dinner outing. Enjoyed the appetizers ... ginger beef, orange shrimp. My favorites were the seaweed salad (great ginger sesame dressing) and the corn fritters (large and spicy sauce). The service was super efficient. The price was good.

You cannot beat piranha as one of the best sushi happy hours in San Antonio. Their food is amazing, especially their samurai ribs which are cooked over 24hrs. Fall off the bone ribs! They have a good sushi selection, and also ramen. Service is always great, very attentive and quick. It's a small casual relaxed restaurant.

Savory but not too salty, the chicken has a smoky flavor to it and bled really well with the broth and the mushrooms I added, I'm always a fan of corn in any dish. A great meal to have on a cold day to warm you up and bring you comfort. Quick service, good vibes inside!

One of my favorite spots in SA. Since it's chilly now, perfect time for their bowl of ramen. I always add bok choy and chili oil. Tried a blackberry whiskey drink which was pretty boozy but tasty. Service was good and vibes are always chill inside. I'll be back on another windy day.

Fun, laidback, cool vibe. Good food, and reasonable prices. Love the chicken ramen soup! All the happy hour choices are good. I especially like the Hama Rayu and the pork rib.
