Ugh I never remember to take pics bc I always do to-go orders here. But I just have to say for the AR area this is the place for pho and has the cleanest broth. Great flavor, decent banh mis, and most of all, owner is so kind. If it's the older gentleman, he is welcoming and provides great service.

Review for Pho Viet Grill & NoodlesReturning to Pho Viet Grill & Noodles after several years was a surprisingly pleasant experience! We came in for a late lunch around 2 PM and were happy to see a revamped, professional printed menu--no more handwritten pricing corrections! They now also offer lunch specials seven days a week, which is a great addition, especially since nearby Thai Hut has a similar all-week lunch special. The lunch specials are pretty good and include options like endless iced tea (sweet or unsweet) or soda, plus a fried veggie roll on the side--although no soup is included, which Thai Hut does provide. Comparing the two, I'd still say Thai Hut has the edge with more flavorful, freshly brewed iced tea, while the tea at Pho Viet tasted watered down both initially and with the refill.I ordered the orange "chicken" (subbed with tofu), and it was delicious and nicely prepared, as was my cousin's orange chicken. My aunt enjoyed her steak brisket tendon pho--the broth was perfect, rich, and flavorful. My uncle had the grilled pork chop, and he was happy with his choice as well. So overall, everyone's meals were tasty and well-executed!One suggestion for Pho Viet's lunch menu: it would be great if they focused on Vietnamese dishes and flavors rather than mostly Chinese-inspired options. This could give customers a chance to sample authentic Vietnamese cuisine, which I'm sure would bring more interest to the main menu. Thai Hut's lunch specials highlight Thai dishes and flavors, making it a standout experience, so Pho Viet could benefit from a similar approach to showcase their strengths.Lastly, a special shoutout to Janet, who wasn't even our server today but went out of her way to make us feel welcomed and valued. Although our server Hy accidentally charged us an extra iced tea (a small mix-up when my cousin switched from Diet Coke), Janet assured us she would address it on our next visit. It's this level of service that keeps us coming back--thank you, Janet! In summary: great food, a cozy atmosphere (very minimal chemical smell from the next door nail salon) and fantastic hospitality. Looking forward to seeing how Pho Viet continues to grow!

Terrible service , I'm from Houston and was in town looking for a pho place to eat , seen the review here and came to eat here. This place is not a real Vietnamese restaurant they don't know their own menu. Orders came out wrong and the guy taking order seem clueless. The pho wasn't great either

Was visiting SA for the day and was craving Pho in cold rainy day. Stumble upon this spot and tried it for the first time. It was amazing traditional Vietnamese Pho with amazing flavors and fresh ingredients. The service was impeccable and had a very cozy ambiance. I ordered the spicy beef noddle in Hue style and i would highly recommend it. If you are in the area and are craving pho for sure give this establishment a try you won't be disappointed.

Walked in yesterday at 7:15 and the place was fairly busy so we gave them some time to greet and seat us. We noticed most of the tables that were empty stillhad food and dishes on them and were still waiting to be cleaned and it was unsightly. After waiting 7 minutes awkwardly in front of the restaurant and being ignored we sat at an empty booth we thought was clean and realized there was food on the benches. We sat there trying to not be grossed out and realized the people next to us were not happy and had been waiting there for some time with no drinks or service. That was it! We were out of there and left the restaurant with not a care in the world from the staff. Went to Pho Saigon down the road and had great food with amazing service. On top of everything else this restaurant smells like nail chemicals from next door. Avoid

First time coming to this place that a coworker recommended my husband. We've been on a hunt for authentic Vietnamese cuisine. I am not gonna lie it's good but I have had better pho. My husband love the bun and they gave him a huge portion. Such a nice overall very clean place. All the workers were so nice. We really enjoyed the Vietnamese ice coffee. Overall great experience.

This is hands down the best pho I've had in San Antonio. They've got a ton of authentic dishes on the menu, including oxtail pho which I've yet to find anywhere else in SA. I got a classic pho tai chin; the broth was so good. It was seasoned well during cooking and was very clear. There was a nice layer of visible fat on top that gave it a nice mouthfeel. The noodles were cooked just right, not over or under cooked, and the meat was flavorful and tender. My only gripe is that it's so far from the Med Center, otherwise I would probably be here weekly.

Pho broth was great and the food was good. The service was a little slow for water but I'm also just a big drinker and a little impatient. The ambiance was fine, nothing fancy it was just a place to eat pho. I wish they had a spicier chili sauce.
