I recently dined at this spot, and it's definitely a unique experience! The ambiance is very quiet and dark, with the lights kept off to take full advantage of the natural light coming in through large windows surrounding the dining area. Unless it was just for the day that I visited, lol but if this is their usual practice and you're used to bright, bustling environments, this might take a minute to get used to, as it feels a little more calm and subdued. That said, the food was absolutely fantastic! I had the Banh Mi chicken, and it was everything I hoped for. The flavors were spot-on--crispy, savory, and fresh, just like a Banh Mi should be.If you're in the mood for a calm and relaxed dining experience with great food, definitely give this place a try! Just be prepared for a darker, quieter atmosphere.

Leaving the supermarket across the street we were hungry and have always wanted to try this place out. Walking up the parking lot was empty, when we walked in we were the only patrons inside! We were greeted right away and sat right away.Few moments later our drink and food orders were taken. Drinks were brought out right away Ice tea and a lemonade which were both good. We received our food shortly after the pho looked great, the fixings were looking a little old and wilted but we kept them. After my wife fixed up her bowl she said it was still just missing something. I ordered the sauteed chicken and vegetables with Pan fried noodles! With a little soy and siracha they were great! Noodles perfectly cooked, tender chicken and al dente veggies! The place is huge, and like I said we were the only patrons... It was clean and quiet and showing signs of age but a nice place to eat. We visit the supermarket monthly so we'll definitely be back.

Conveniently located across the Asia Supermarket with plenty of parking. We didn't have to wait to be seated as we were there on a Saturday at 2pm. It was a very spacious place so could accommodate big parties. However, the pho was somewhat lacking in flavor even with all the fixings.

chicken pho and it was so good. I really tasted the ginger and it just warmed my belly and my soul! I also got a banh mi and that was so tasty- best bread I've ever had! The owner said they make the bread in house! And they buy good quality flour that goes for 20$ a bag. Best French baguette bread I've ever had. I'm so glad to have found this gem! I wish them the best success and luck and hope they continue to serve quality food for many years to come. Thank you for the amazing service!

Best Pho place in San Antonio! My boyfriend is Vietnamese and so far this is one of his go to Vietnamese restaurants. The banh mi is also good. The bread for the banh mi is homemade so make it even more delicious! I highly recommend Phi Hai An!!

First time visiting Pho Hai An. We were craving some Bahn Mi. And I have to say this place did not disappoint at all. The bread was the wow factor. The sandwich was amazing. We also tried their spring and summer rolls. Both were tasty. So was a combination pho. All were great choices. We will definitely have to come back. Then the couple working asked us if it was our first time. We said yes. The food was delicious. Then the lady stated that they freshly make their bread everyday. Now I know their secret to their sandwiches. Fresh made bread for their sandwiches. Yummx100. I have to share this mouth heaven moment with my sisters. Yumm yumm yumm.

Vietnamese restaurant scene in San Antonio is pretty much lacking. So far, this restaurant has the best tasting pho. It's really the broth that I am talking about, the sweetness of the broth, not from sugar or MSG but from slowly simmering bone marrow. Compared to other more populated Vietnamese cities, it's not on par but this for San Antonio, it's pretty good to me.

I've been going around San Antonio trying Pho to see who makes the best. I've been to six places. I had one I really thought was going to stay number one, until I came to Phó Hái An. Their Pho, so far, is the best I've had. I'm back one day later to try it again. Yesterday I had the combinati

The food was good and fresh.... the food portions are a bit small but ok. However, the owner serves up a great big size of rude attitude and snide remarks!
